RRB NTPC Exam Syllabus

RRB NTPC Exam has two papers i.e. Prelims and Mains but the good thing is both exams have the same subjects which are General Awareness, Arithmetic which is known by Quantitative Aptitude, General Intelligence & Reasoning, and English.

  • General Awareness & General Science: The weightage of the questions from both the sections is 18 to 20 questions for general science and 30 to 40 questions for the general awareness part. Therefore, both the subjects are very important and candidates could not miss that much weightage. The general science covers the basic science topics up to 12th standard and the general awareness subject covers the topic related to current affairs and the history of India.
  • Quantitative Aptitude: This subject is a very scary subject for many students because they have a fear of mathematics but there are many simple topics asked in the exam i.e. profit and loss, \%tages, speed \& distance, simplification, average, etc. It simply includes questions from algebra, geometry, and arithmetic mathematics.
  • General Intelligence \& Reasoning: The questions from this subject will be asked from the verbal \& non-verbal reasoning, puzzles, arrangements, etc. It simply tests your logical abilities.
  • English: In this section, topics are not set because the chances of questions being asked in this subject are very less. But still, there are a few topics that are asked often, and those are fill in the blanks, synonyms & antonyms, one-word substitution, spellings, and sentence correction.

Railway Group D Exam Syllabus 2022

Group D is also a non-gazetted category post and the lowest rank cadre comes after Group C. The Ministry of Railways has given the responsibility of Group D recruitment to the 17 Railway Recruitment Cells (RRC) to conduct the examination for the post of Group D and the computer-based test (CBT) is divided into four parts i.e. Mathematics, General Intelligence \& Reasoning, General Awareness, and General Science. Here are the important topics covered by each part:

  • Mathematics: The syllabus for the mathematics section is covered from class 10th to 12th but mostly the topics are covered from class 10th only. Questions come from arithmetic, algebra, geometry, trigonometry, probability, and data interpretation. The weightage of arithmetic is more than others, so you have to focus more on arithmetic mathematics.

The topics covered under this part are coding-decoding, analogy, series, puzzles, Venn diagram, blood relation, direction \& distance, nonverbal reasoning, and argument type questions.
