SBI PO Selection Process
The selection process will consist of
online test Phase-I (Preliminary exam), Phase-II (Mains exam) and test of
specified opted local language. Candidates who are shortlisted after
Phase-I will have to appear for Phase-II.
Phase-I: SBI PO Preliminary Exam
It
is Computer Based examination.
The
candidates must qualify an overall cut-off in the preliminary exam.
Phase-II: SBI PO Mains Exam
It
is a Computer Based examination.
The
candidates qualifying for the preliminary examination appear for this
examination.
Candidates
are required to score a minimum percentage marks on aggregate.
Minimum
qualifying marks on aggregate will be as decided by the bank.
Section
wise marks will not be maintained.
Test of specified opted local language
Those
who qualify for selection and produce 10th or 12th standard mark sheet/
certificate evidencing having studied the specified opted local language will
not be subjected to any Language test.
SBI PO Exam Pattern
Phase-I: SBI Clerk Preliminary Examination – Computer Based
Examination- Objective Paper
Phase-I:
Preliminary Examination: Online Preliminary Exam consisting of Objective Tests
for 100 marks will be conducted online.
This
test would be of 1-hour duration consisting of 3 Sections as follows:

Adequate
number of candidates in each category as decided by the Bank (approximately 10
times the numbers of vacancies. subject to availability) will be shortlisted
for the Main Exam from the list of all candidates arranged in descending order
of aggregate marks scored.

list will be drawn State wise, category wise. Candidates qualified in the test
(main examination) will be placed according to their aggregate marks in

Phase-III: Test of specified opted local language
Those
who qualify for selection and produce 10th or 12th standard mark sheet/
certificate evidencing having studied the specified opted local language will
not be subjected to any Language test.
In
case of others (qualified for selection), specified opted local language test
will be conducted after provisional selection but before joining.
Candidates
who fail to qualify this test will not be offered appointment.
Candidates
not found proficient in specified opted local language would be disqualified.
Provisional Selection (Subject to qualifying specified opted
local language):
The
marks obtained in the Preliminary Examination (Phase-I) will not be added for
the selection and only the aggregate marks obtained in Main Examination
(Phase-II) will be considered for preparation of the final merit list.
Provisional
selection will be made on the basis of candidate’s performance in the test
(Main Examination).
Final Selection:
Final
selection will be subject to-
Verification
of eligibility for the post and information furnished in the online application.
Qualifying
in test of specified opted local language.

SBI Clerk Eligibility Criteria
1. Essential
Academic Qualifications: (As on 30.11.2022):
Graduation
in any discipline from a recognised University or any equivalent qualification
recognised as such by Central Government. Candidates having integrated dual
degree (IDD) certificate should ensure that the date of passing the IDD is on
or before 30.11.2022.
Those
who are in the final year/ semester of their graduation may also apply
provisionally subject to the condition that, if provisionally selected, they
will have to produce proof of having passed the graduation examination on or
before 30.11.2022.
2. Age
Limit: (As on 01.08.2022)
Not
below 20 years and not above 28 years as on 01.08.2022, i.e. candidates must
have been born not earlier than 02.08.1994 and not later than 01.08.2002 (both
days inclusive).

3. Nationality
The
candidates appearing in the SBI clerk exam must be qualify under any one of the
following:
Citizen
of India, or
Citizen
of Nepal, or
Citizen
of Bhutan, or
Tibetan
refugees who have come to India to seek a settlement before January 1, 1962, or
A
person of Indian origin who has migrated from either Pakistan, Sri Lanka,
Burma, Vietnam, Ethiopia, Kenya, Malawi, Tanzania, Zaire, or Zambia with the
intention of permanent settlement in India

Part-I: SBI Clerk Registrations
As the first step, the candidates need to register
themselves on the official website of the Commission. For this, the candidates
must follow the steps mentioned below:

down the system-generated registration ID
Part-II: SBI Clerk application form
Next,
the candidates can log in to their registered accounts using their registration
number and password and complete the remaining steps of the application process.
A
candidate will be required to have a scanned (digital) image of his/ her
handwritten declaration. The text for the hand-written declaration is as
follows:
“I,______(Name
of the candidate), Date of Birth ______, hereby declare that all the
information submitted by me in the application form is correct, true and valid.
I will present the supporting documents as and when required. The signature,
photograph and left thumb impression is of mine”

Part-III: Fee Payment
The
candidates should make the payment of requisite fees/intimation charges through
ONLINE mode only, that is by Debit/Credit Card, Net Banking, IMPS, Cash
Card, or Mobile Wallets (like Paytm, GPay). Once the fee is paid, the candidate
cannot claim for refund.
On
successful completion of the transaction, an e-receipt will be generated.
Candidates can take a printout of the e-receipt and online SBI Clerk
application form.

Ques. What is the mode of registration?
Ans. The registration can be done only through online
mode.
Ques. What is the educational qualification for an SBI
Clerk recruitment?
Ans. A candidate appearing for the SBI Clerk
