SSC CPO Examination
The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) conducts the Central Police Organization (CPO) examination to recruit candidates for the post of Sub-Inspector in various Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs) like the Border Security Force (BSF), Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP), Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB), etc.
The SSC CPO examination is conducted in three stages:
Paper-I: This is an online objective type test consisting of four sections - General Intelligence and Reasoning, General Knowledge and General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude, and English Comprehension. The total marks for this exam are 200, and the duration of the exam is 2 hours.
Physical Endurance Test (PET)/ Physical Standard Test (PST): Candidates who qualify for the Paper-I examination are called for the PET/PST. The PET includes events like a race, long jump, high jump, and shot put, while the PST involves measurements of height, chest, and weight.
Paper-II: This is an online objective type test consisting of English language and comprehension. The total marks for this exam are 200, and the duration of the exam is 2 hours.
Candidates who qualify all three stages of the examination are called for the final document verification and medical examination. The final selection of candidates is based on their performance in all the stages of the examination.
