Computer-Based Test and Physical Test.
Scheme of Tier-I Examination:
- ·Tier-I will consist of Objective Type, Multiple choice questions.
- The questions will be set both in English & Hindi except for the English/Hindi Language.
- There will be a negative marking of 0.25 for each wrong answer.
- The time allowed for the examination is 02 hours.
- Subject-wise details of No. of questions and marks are as follows:
o English/Hindi: 25 questions-25Marks
o General Intelligence and Reasoning: 25questions-25 Marks
o Elementary Mathematics: 25 questions-25 Marks
o General Knowledge and General Awareness: 25 questions-25 Marks

Essential Educational Qualifications:
Constable/Driver
Educational Qualifications: At least Matriculation or its equivalent from a recognized Board or University recognized by the Central or State Government.
Technical Qualifications: Must possess Heavy Transport Vehicle Driving License and must have passed the driving test at the time of recruitment.
Constable/Motor-Vehicle Mechanic
Educational Qualifications: At least Matriculation or 10th class pass or equivalent in the 10+2 examination system from a recognized Board.
Technical Qualifications: 02 years Industrial Training Institute (ITI) Certificate in Motor Vehicle Mechanic from any other recognized Institute recognized by the National or State Vocational Training Council and one-year practical experience in the relevant trade.
Or
National or State Apprenticeship Certificate in the trade of Mechanic Motor Vehicle from a recognized Institute and one-year practical experience in the relevant trade.
For all other Tradesmen
Educational Qualifications: At least Matriculation or its equivalent from a recognized Board or University recognized by the Central or State Government or equivalent military qualification in the case of Ex-servicemen.
Technical Qualifications: Should be skilled and employed in the relevant trades.
Pioneer Wing/Constable (Mason/ Plumber/ Electrician)
Educational Qualifications: Matriculation or equivalent from a recognized Board.
Technical Qualifications:
(a) One year's experience in the relevant trades Masonry or Plumbing or Electrician.
(b) Preference will be given to those having trade certificates from a recognized Industrial Training Institute.
Age limit:
- Constable (Driver): 21-27 years as on 01/08/2023. Candidates should not have been born earlier than 02/08/1996 and not later than 01/08/2002.
- Constable (MMV/Cobbler/Carpenter/Tailor/Brass Band/Pipe Band/Bugler/Mali/Painter/Cook/Water Carrier /Dhobi /Barber /Sweeper /Mason /Plumber /Electrician): 18-23 as on 01/08/2023 Years: Candidates should not have been born earlier than 02/08/2000 and not later than 01/08/2005.
How to apply:
- Applications must be submitted only in online mode at the website of SSC Headquarters i.e. https://crpf.gov.in/index.htm
- Candidates are required to upload a scanned color passport-size photograph in JPG/JPEG format (50 kb to 100 kb) in the online application form.
- The date on which the photograph is taken should be clearly printed on the photograph.
- The photograph image should measure approximately 3.5cm (width) x 4.5cm(height).
Application Fee:
- General/OBC/EWS male candidates should make a payment of ₹100/-.
- Women candidates of all categories and candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), and Ex-servicemen (ESM) are exempted from payment of fees.
