1.The Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) of the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) on September 30, 2022, increased the policy repo rate by 50 basis points (bps) to 5.9% making loans expensive. The MPC also lowered the growth projection of FY23 from 7.2% to 7%.

Ø भारतीय रिजर्व बैंक (RBI) की मौद्रिक नीति समिति (MPC) ने 30 सितंबर, 2022 को नीतिगत रेपो दर को 50 आधार अंकों (bps) से बढ़ाकर 5.9% कर दिया है, जिससे ऋण अब महंगा हो गया है। मौद्रिक नीति समिति ने वित्त-वर्ष 2022-2023 के लिए विकास अनुमान को 7.2% से घटाकर 7% कर दिया है।

2. Union Minister of State for Culture Arjun Ram Meghwal will represent India at an international conference to be held in Mexico. Culture ministers of more than 100 countries will participate on this multilateral forum to decide on the global cultural discourse. The UNESCO World Conference on Cultural Policies and Sustainable Development – MONDIACULT 2022 is convened by UNESCO forty years after the first MONDIACULT world conference on cultural policies held in Mexico City in 1982.

Ø केंद्रीय संस्कृति राज्य मंत्री अर्जुन राम मेघवाल मेक्सिको में होने वाले एक अंतर्राष्ट्रीय सम्मेलन में भारत का प्रतिनिधित्व करेंगे। वैश्विक सांस्कृतिक प्रवचन पर निर्णय लेने के लिए इस बहुपक्षीय मंच पर 100 से अधिक देशों के संस्कृति मंत्री भाग लेंगे। सांस्कृतिक नीतियों और सतत विकास पर यूनेस्को विश्व सम्मेलन - MONDIACULT 2022 यूनेस्को द्वारा 1982 में मैक्सिको सिटी में आयोजित सांस्कृतिक नीतियों पर पहले MONDIACULT विश्व सम्मेलन के चालीस वर्ष बाद आयोजित की गई है।

3. October 1 is observed as the International Day of Older Persons across the globe. The day was introduced by the United Nations General Assembly with an aim of honouring the contribution of older persons and looking into the problems that they face.

Ø 1 अक्टूबर को विश्व भर में वृद्ध व्यक्तियों के अंतर्राष्ट्रीय दिवस के रूप में मनाया जाता है। इस दिन की शुरुआत संयुक्त राष्ट्र महासभा द्वारा वृद्ध व्यक्तियों के योगदान का सम्मान करने और उनके सामने आने वाली समस्याओं को देखने के उद्देश्य से की गई थी।

4. The 68th National Film Awards were given out on the evening of 30th Septemberin New Delhi by President Droupadi Murmu. Legendary actress Asha Parekh got the Dadasaheb Phalke Award of 2020 for her outstanding lifetime contribution to Indian cinema. The 68th National Film awards were to be held in 2021, but were postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Ø 68वें राष्ट्रीय फिल्म पुरस्कार 30 सितंबर की शाम को नई दिल्ली में राष्ट्रपति द्रौपदी मुर्मू द्वारा प्रदान किया गया। महान अभिनेत्री आशा पारेख को भारतीय सिनेमा में उनके उत्कृष्ट जीवन-भर के योगदान के लिए 2020 का दादा साहब फाल्के पुरस्कार मिला। 68वें राष्ट्रीय फिल्म पुरस्कार 2021 में होने थे, लेकिन COVID-19 महामारी के कारण स्थगित कर दिए गए थे।

5. The Mumbai Central-Gandhinagar Capital Vande Bharat Superfast Express will start its commercial run from October 1. It will operate six days a week except Sundays. The train will depart from Mumbai Central station at 6.10 am and reach Gandhinagar at 12.30 pm.

Ø मुंबई सेंट्रल-गांधीनगर राजधानी वंदे भारत सुपरफास्ट एक्सप्रेस 1 अक्टूबर से अपना वाणिज्यिक संचालन प्रारंभ करेगी। यह रविवार को छोड़कर सप्ताह में छह दिन संचालित होगी। यह ट्रेन मुंबई सेंट्रल स्टेशन से सुबह 6.10 बजे प्रस्थान करेगी और दोपहर 12.30 बजे गांधीनगर पहुंचेगी।

6. Noted playback singers Kumar Sanu and Shailendra Singh and music-composer duo Anand-Milind will be conferred with the National Lata Mangeshkar Award for different years, an official said on Tuesday. They will be presented the prestigious award on Wednesday (September 28), the birth anniversary of the late legendary singer, at her birthplace Indore.

Ø प्रसिद्ध पार्श्व गायक कुमार शानू और शैलेंद्र सिंह और संगीत-संगीतकार जोड़ी आनंद-मिलिंद को विभिन्न वर्षों के कार्यों के लिए राष्ट्रीय लता मंगेशकर पुरस्कार से सम्मानित किया जाएगा। उन्हें दिवंगत महान गायिका की जयंती (28 सितंबर) को उनके जन्मस्थान इंदौर में प्रतिष्ठित पुरस्कार प्रदान किया जाएगा।

7. India has climbed to the 40th rank in the Global Innovation Index of World Intellectual Property Organization. The World Intellectual Property Organization released the Global Innovation Index 2022 in which Switzerland has emerged as the world's most innovative economy for the 12th consecutive year. Switzerland remains the world’s leader in innovation for the 12th consecutive year.

Ø विश्व बौद्धिक संपदा संगठन के ग्लोबल इनोवेशन इंडेक्स में भारत 40वें स्थान पर पहुंच गया है। विश्व बौद्धिक संपदा संगठन ने ग्लोबल इनोवेशन इंडेक्स 2022 जारी किया जिसमें स्विट्जरलैंड लगातार 12वें वर्ष विश्व की सबसे नवाचार करने वाले अर्थव्यवस्था के रूप में उभरा है। स्विट्ज़रलैंड लगातार 12वें वर्ष नवाचार में दुनिया में अग्रणी बना हुआ है।

8.        Kazakhstan president Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has agreed to restore the former name of the country’s capital just three years after he renamed it in honour of his predecessor. One of Tokayev’s first moves upon taking office in 2019 after president Nursultan Nazarbayev stepped down was to call for Kazakhstan’s capital, Astana, to be dubbed Nur-Sultan instead.

Ø कज़ाखस्तान के राष्ट्रपति कसीम-जोमार्ट टोकायव ने अपने पूर्ववर्ती राष्ट्रपति के सम्मान में इसका नाम बदलने के तीन वर्ष बाद देश की राजधानी के पूर्व नाम को बहाल करने पर सहमति व्यक्त की है। राष्ट्रपति नूरसुल्तान नज़रबायेव के पद छोड़ने के बाद 2019 में पदभार ग्रहण करने के बाद टोकायव ने कज़ाखस्तान की राजधानी अस्ताना का नाम नूर-सुल्तान के रूप में परिवर्तित कर दिया था।

9. The central government has extended for another six months the application of the disturbed area under the Armed Forces (Special Powers) Act, AFSPA in 12 districts of Nagaland and Arunachal Pradesh. It has also been extended in certain parts of five other districts of the two northeastern states to facilitate the armed forces to continue the anti-insurgency operations.

Ø केंद्र सरकार ने नागालैंड और अरुणाचल प्रदेश के 12 जिलों में सशस्त्र बल (विशेष अधिकार) अधिनियम, AFSPA के अंतर्गत आने वाले अशांत क्षेत्र पर इस अधिनियम के अनुप्रयोग को छह माह के लिए विस्तारित कर दिया है। इसे दो पूर्वोत्तर राज्यों के पांच अन्य जिलों के कुछ हिस्सों में भी विस्तारित किया गया है, जिससे कि सशस्त्र बलों को उग्रवाद विरोधी अभियानों को जारी रखने में सहायता मिल सके।

10. President Droupadi Murmu will award the cleanest States and cities of Azaadi@75 Swachh Survekshan 2022 in New Delhi. The day will mark the first anniversary of launch of the Swachh Bharat Mission - Urban 2.0, with its aspirational vision of creating Garbage Free cities. The award ceremony will be attended by a host of dignitaries from across the country and over 160 awards will be given in different categories.

Ø राष्ट्रपति द्रौपदी मुर्मू नई दिल्ली में सबसे स्वच्छ राज्यों और शहरों को आज़ादी@75 स्वच्छ सर्वेक्षण 2022 पुरस्कार प्रदान करेंगी। यह दिन स्वच्छ भारत मिशन - शहरी 2.0 के शुभारंभ की पहली वर्षगांठ को चिह्नित करेगा, जिसमें कचरा मुक्त शहर बनाने का लक्ष्य निर्धारित किया गया है। पुरस्कार समारोह में देश भर से कई गणमान्य व्यक्ति शामिल होंगे और विभिन्न श्रेणियों में 160 से अधिक पुरस्कार दिए जाएंगे।
