1.Universal Service Obligation Fund (USOF), a body under the Department of Telecommunications, officially launched Telecom Technology Development Fund (TTDF) Scheme on October 01st, 2022. Telecom Technology Development Fund (TTDF) aims to fund R&D in rural-specific communication technology applications and form synergies among academia, start-ups, research institutes, and the industry to build and develop the telecom ecosystem. Additionally, the Scheme aims to promote technology ownership and indigenous manufacturing, create a culture of technology co-innovation, reduce imports, boost export opportunities and creation of Intellectual Property.

Ø यूनिवर्सल सर्विस ऑब्लिगेशन फंड (यूएसओएफ); जो कि दूरसंचार विभाग के अंतर्गत एक निकाय है, ने आधिकारिक रूप से 01 अक्टूबर, 2022 को टेलीकॉम टेक्नोलॉजी डेवलपमेंट फंड (टीटीडीएफ) स्कीम की शुरुआत की है। टेलीकॉम टेक्नोलॉजी डेवलपमेंट फंड (टीटीडीएफ) का उद्देश्य ग्रामीण इलाकों में विशिष्ट संचार प्रौद्योगिकी से जुड़े अनुप्रयोगों के संबंध में अनुसंधान एवं विकास को निधि प्रदान करना और दूरसंचार इकोसिस्टम के निर्माण व विकास के लिए अकादमिक, स्टार्ट-अप, अनुसंधान संस्थानों तथा उद्योग जगत के बीच तालमेल बनाना है। इसके अतिरिक्त, इस योजना का उद्देश्य प्रौद्योगिकी स्वामित्व और स्वदेशी विनिर्माण को बढ़ावा देना, प्रौद्योगिकी सह-नवाचार की संस्कृति विकसित करना, आयात कम करना, निर्यात के अवसरों को बढ़ावा देना और बौद्धिक संपदा का निर्माण करना है।

2. Chief Election Commissioner Shri Rajiv Kumar launched a yearlong Voter Awareness Program - ‘Matdata Junction’ during an event organised at Akashvani Rang Bhavan, New Delhi. The ‘Matdata Junction’ is a 52 episode radio series produced by the Election Commission of India, in collaboration with All India Radio. The 52-episode series will cover various aspects of election and related processes from voters’ perspective.

Ø मुख्य चुनाव आयुक्त श्री राजीव कुमार ने आकाशवाणी रंग भवन, नई दिल्ली में आयोजित एक कार्यक्रम के दौरान एक वार्षिक मतदाता जागरूकता कार्यक्रम - 'मतदाता जंक्शन' का शुभारंभ किया है । 'मतदाता जंक्शन' अखिल भारतीय रेडियो के सहयोग से भारत के चुनाव आयोग द्वारा निर्मित एक 52 एपिसोड की रेडियो श्रृंखला है। 52-एपिसोड की श्रृंखला में मतदाताओं के दृष्टिकोण से चुनाव और संबंधित प्रक्रियाओं के विभिन्न पहलुओं को शामिल किया जाएगा।

3. World Space Week is an international holiday celebrated every year from October 4 to 10 in nearly 100 countries across the globe. World Space Week is the largest space event yet, put in place to celebrate the benefits of science and technology to human society. Based on a resolution made on December 6, 1999, the General Assembly declared World Space Week. There are many benefits the human race receives from space, and this holiday is here to educate everyone about them. Organizations such as space agencies, schools, planetaria, museums, and astronomy clubs coordinate space outreach events in various parts of the world.

Ø विश्व अंतरिक्ष सप्ताह एक अंतर्राष्ट्रीय उत्सव है, जो प्रत्येक वर्ष 4 से 10 अक्टूबर तक विश्व भर के लगभग 100 देशों में मनाया जाता है। विश्व अंतरिक्ष सप्ताह मानव समाज को विज्ञान और प्रौद्योगिकी के लाभों का उत्सव मनाने के लिए अब तक का सबसे बड़ा अंतरिक्ष कार्यक्रम है। 6 दिसंबर, 1999 को किए गए एक प्रस्ताव के आधार पर, महासभा ने विश्व अंतरिक्ष सप्ताह घोषित किया था। अंतरिक्ष से मानव जाति को कई लाभ मिलते हैं, और यह सप्ताह सभी को अंतरिक्ष के बारे में शिक्षित करने के लिए मनाया जाता है। अंतरिक्ष एजेंसियों, स्कूलों, तारामंडल, संग्रहालयों और खगोल विज्ञान क्लबों जैसे संगठन विश्व के विभिन्न भागों में अंतरिक्ष के पहुँच से सम्बंधित कार्यक्रमों का समन्वय करते हैं।

4. Top Indian javelin thrower Shivpal Singh has been handed a four-year suspension for failing a dope test last year by the NADA's Anti-Doping Disciplinary Panel. Shivpal, who took part in the Tokyo Olympics, was placed under provisional suspension in October last year after he failed an out-of-competition test. He had tested positive for banned substance Metandieonone. The ban period for the 27-year-old Uttar Pradesh athlete began from October 21 last year and his ineligibility period will be up to October 2025.

Ø शीर्ष भारतीय भाला-फेंक खिलाड़ी शिवपाल सिंह को नाडा के डोपिंग रोधी अनुशासन पैनल द्वारा पिछले वर्ष डोप परीक्षण में विफल रहने के कारण चार वर्ष के निलंबित कर दिया गया है निलंबन सौंपा गया है। टोक्यो ओलंपिक में हिस्सा लेने वाले शिवपाल को पिछले वर्ष अक्टूबर में प्रतियोगिता से बाहर होने वाले परीक्षण में विफल होने के बाद अस्थायी निलंबन के अंतर्गत रखा गया था। उन्हें प्रतिबंधित पदार्थ मेटांडियोनोन के लिए परीक्षण में सकारात्मक पाया गया था। उत्तर प्रदेश के 27 वर्षीय एथलीट के लिए प्रतिबंध की अवधि पिछले वर्ष 21 अक्टूबर से प्रारम्भ हुई थी और उनकी अपात्रता की अवधि अक्टूबर 2025 तक होगी।

5. Svante Paabo was on 03rd October, awarded the 2022 Nobel Prize in Medicine for his extraordinary discovery which proved modern humans share DNA with extinct relatives Neanderthals and Denisovans. The Swedish scientist provided key insights into human immune system and what makes us unique compared with human extinct cousins.

Ø स्वंते पाबो को 03 अक्टूबर 2022 को उनकी असाधारण खोज के लिए चिकित्सा के क्षेत्र में 2022 के नोबेल पुरस्कार से सम्मानित किया गया है,जिन्होनें सिद्ध किया है कि आधुनिक मनुष्य विलुप्त प्रजातियों निएंडरथल और डेनिसोवन्स के साथ डीएनए साझा करते हैं। स्वीडिश वैज्ञानिक ने मानव की प्रतिरक्षा प्रणाली में महत्वपूर्ण अंतर्दृष्टि प्रदान की है और यह मानव को पूर्व में विलुप्त प्रजातियों की तुलना में अद्वितीय बनाती है।

6. Maharashtra and Tamil Nadu had the highest numbers of foreign tourist visits, with 1.26 million and 1.23 million, respectively in 2021, as per a report by Union Tourism Ministry. The over 280-page report titled 'India Tourism Statistics 2022' was released on Tuesday by Vice-President Jagdeep Dhankhar on World Tourism Day at Vigyan Bhawan in New Delhi. The Taj Mahal, a UNESCO world heritage site, was among the 10 most popular centrally-protected ticketed monuments for domestic visitors in 2021-22, according to the report.

Ø केंद्रीय पर्यटन मंत्रालय की इंडिया टूरिज्म स्टैटिस्टिक्स रिपोर्ट के अनुसार, 2021 में महाराष्ट्र और तमिलनाडु में क्रमशः 1.26 मिलियन और 1.23 मिलियन के साथ विदेशी पर्यटकों की संख्या सबसे अधिक थी। नई दिल्ली के विज्ञान भवन में विश्व पर्यटन दिवस पर उपराष्ट्रपति जगदीप धनखड़ द्वारा मंगलवार को 'इंडिया टूरिज्म स्टैटिस्टिक्स 2022' शीर्षक से 280 पन्नों से अधिक की रिपोर्ट जारी की गई। इस रिपोर्ट के अनुसार, यूनेस्को की विश्व धरोहर स्थल ताजमहल 2021-22 में घरेलू आगंतुकों के लिए 10 सबसे लोकप्रिय केंद्र-संरक्षित स्मारकों में से एक था।

7. Dr. A K Anil Kumar, SeniorScientist in ISRO is elected as the Vice President of the International Astronautical Federation (IAF) during its Annual Conference International Astronautical Congress (IAC) 2022 held in Paris during 18-22 September 2022. Founded in 1951, the International Astronautical Federation (IAF) is the world's leading space advocacy body with 433 members in 72 countries, including all leading space agencies, companies, research institutions, universities, societies, associations, institutes, and museums worldwide.IAF actively encourages the development of astronautics for peaceful purposes and supports the dissemination of scientific and technical information related to space.

Ø डॉ. ए. के. अनिल कुमार; जो इसरो में एक वरिष्ठ वैज्ञानिक हैं, को 18-22 सितंबर 2022 के दौरान पेरिस में आयोजित अपने वार्षिक सम्मेलन अंतर्राष्ट्रीय अंतरिक्ष यात्री कांग्रेस (IAC) 2022 के दौरान अंतर्राष्ट्रीय अंतरिक्ष यात्री संघ (IAF) के उपाध्यक्ष के रूप में चुना गया है। 1951 में स्थापित, अंतर्राष्ट्रीय एस्ट्रोनॉटिकल फेडरेशन (IAF) विश्व भर में सभी प्रमुख अंतरिक्ष एजेंसियों, कंपनियों, अनुसंधान संस्थानों, विश्वविद्यालयों, समाजों, संघों, संस्थानों और संग्रहालयों सहित 72 देशों में 433 सदस्यों के साथ विश्व की अग्रणी अंतरिक्ष प्रवर्तक निकाय है। IAF सक्रिय रूप से अंतरिक्ष यात्रियों के विकास को प्रोत्साहित करता है। साथ ही यह शांतिपूर्ण उद्देश्यों और अंतरिक्ष से संबंधित वैज्ञानिक और तकनीकी जानकारी के प्रसार का समर्थन करता है।

8. The Central Bureau of Investigation has launched a multi-phase ‘Operation Garuda’ against illicit drug trafficking network, registering 127 new cases, arresting 175 people and seizing huge quantities of narcotic drugs. The agency said, during this special operation with several state police forces including from Punjab, Delhi, Himachal Pradesh, Manipur, Maharashtra, and Narcotics Control Bureau, around 6,600 suspects/persons were checked; 127 new cases wereregistered and around 175 persons including six absconders/proclaimed offenders arrested. Searches, seizures, and arrests were carried out across multiple states/UT in India.

Ø केंद्रीय जांच ब्यूरो ने अवैध मादक पदार्थों की तस्करी नेटवर्क के विरुद्ध एक बहु-चरण अभियान 'ऑपरेशन गरुड़' प्रारम्भ किया है, जिसमें 127 नए मामले दर्ज किए गए हैं, 175 लोगों को गिरफ्तार किया गया है और भारी मात्रा में मादक दवाओं को जब्त किया गया है। पंजाब, दिल्ली, हिमाचल प्रदेश, मणिपुर, महाराष्ट्र और नारकोटिक्स कंट्रोल ब्यूरो सहित कई राज्य पुलिस बलों के साथ इस विशेष अभियान के दौरान, लगभग 6,600 संदिग्धों / व्यक्तियों की जाँच की गई; 127 नए मामले दर्ज किए गए और छह भगोड़ों/घोषित अपराधियों सहित लगभग 175 लोगों को गिरफ्तार किया गया है। भारत में कई राज्यों/केंद्र शासित प्रदेशों में तलाशी, जब्ती और गिरफ्तारी की गई।

9. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh formally inducted the indigenously-developed Light Combat Helicopters (LCH) in the Indian Air Force at a ceremony held at Air Force Station, Jodhpur in Rajasthan. LCH would be inducted into the 143 Helicopter Unit. LCH has been named as 'Prachanda'.  LCH has been developed by Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd (HAL).  It is a state-of-the-art modern combat helicopter, primarily designed for deployment in high-altitude regions. LCH is the only attack helicopter in the world which can land and take-off at an altitude of 5,000 m with a considerable load of weapons and fuel.

Ø रक्षा मंत्री राजनाथ सिंह ने राजस्थान में वायु सेना स्टेशन, जोधपुर में आयोजित एक समारोह में औपचारिक रूप से स्वदेशी रूप से विकसित "हल्के लड़ाकू हेलीकॉप्टर (LCH)" को भारतीय वायु सेना में शामिल किया है। एलसीएच को 143 हेलीकॉप्टर यूनिट में शामिल किया जाएगा। एलसीएच को 'प्रचंड' नाम दिया गया है। LCH को हिंदुस्तान एयरोनॉटिक्स लिमिटेड (HAL) द्वारा विकसित किया गया है। यह एक अत्याधुनिक आधुनिक लड़ाकू हेलीकॉप्टर है, जिसे मुख्य रूप से उच्च ऊंचाई वाले क्षेत्रों में तैनाती के लिए डिज़ाइन किया गया है। LCH विश्व का एकमात्र अटैक हेलिकॉप्टर है जो 5,000 मीटर की ऊंचाई पर हथियारों और ईंधन के पर्याप्त भार के साथ उतर सकता है और साथ ही टेक-ऑफ कर सकता है।

10. Union Minister for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Shri Narayan Rane inaugurated the Khadi Fest – 2022 Exhibition in Mumbai today. The Khadi Fest – 2022 has been organized by the Khadi and Village Industries Commission on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti and will be available till 1 November, 2022. Khadi and Village Industries Commission has been organizing Khadi Fest every year to mark the birth anniversary of the Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi. However, this time the exhibition has been organized after a gap of two years.

Ø केंद्रीय सूक्ष्म, लघु और मध्यम उद्यम मंत्री श्री नारायण राणे ने मुंबई में खादी उत्सव-2022 प्रदर्शनी का उद्घाटन किया। खादी उत्सव-2022 का आयोजन खादी और ग्रामोद्योग आयोग द्वारा गांधी जयंती के अवसर पर किया गया है और यह 1 नवंबर, 2022 तक चलेगा। खादी और ग्रामोद्योग आयोग (केवीआईसी) प्रत्येक वर्ष राष्ट्रपिता महात्मा गांधी की जयंती के उपलक्ष्य में खादी उत्सव का आयोजन करता है। यद्यपि इस बार प्रदर्शनी का आयोजन दो वर्ष के अंतराल के बाद किया गया है।
