1.     The 3rd Edition of Vietnam India Bilateral Army Exercise “Ex VINBAX 2022” is scheduled to be conducted at Chandimandir from 01 to 20 Aug 2022. The exercise is a sequel to previously conducted bilateral exercise in Vietnam in 2019 and a major milestone in strengthening the bilateral relations between India and Vietnam.

 

2.     Ministry of Port, Shipping and Waterways (MoPSW) observed ‘Chabahar Day’ to mark the Chabahar – Link to INSTC - Connecting Central Asian Markets. INSTC (International North-South Transport Corridor) is India’s vision and initiative to reduce the time taken for EXIM shipments to reach Russia, Europe, and enter the central Asian markets. The Chabahar Port located in Iran is the commercial transit center for the region and especially Central Asia.

 

3.     The first-ever national level meet of District Legal Services Authorities (DLSAs) has been organised from 30-31 July 2022 in Delhi by National Legal Services Authority (NALSA). The Prime Minister also released a commemorative postal stamp on the ‘Right to free legal aid’.

 

4.     Pranay Kumar Verma, has been APPOINTED to serve as India's next High Commissioner to Bangladesh. He is currently the ambassador of India to Vietnam.

 

5.     Beverage maker Coca-Cola is extending its lime drink Limca to the no-fizz, low-sugar category, for the first time, with a new brand Limca Sportz, for which it has signed Olympic gold medallist Neeraj Chopra.

 

6.     To educate the state's women about their constitutional rights and laws, the Chhattisgarh Women Commission will host the Mukhyamantri Mahtari Nyay Rath Yatra.

 

7.     The Malaysian Palm Oil Council (MPOC) and the Indian Vegetable Oil Producers’ Association (IVPA) have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to expand their cooperation in promoting the usage of palm oil.

 

8.     World Ranger Day is celebrated across the world on July 31 every year to appreciate the contributions of the Forest Rangers in the country's development and to pay a tribute to these green crusaders who at times sacrifice their lives in the line of duty.

 

9.     The timeline limit for redressal of public grievances has been reduced from 45 days to 30 days. This decision has been taken in keeping emphasis on effective implementation of public grievance redressal mechanism with disposal of grievance within minimum possible time, but with maximum possible satisfaction of the complainant.

 

10.The 68th National Film Awards were announced on Friday afternoon at the National Media Centre in New Delhi, for films from the year of 2020. The event is organised by the Directorate of Film Festivals, which comes under the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting.
