1. India celebrates National Youth Day on January 12, the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda, to honour one of the greatest philosophers and spiritual leaders. In 1984, the Indian government took the decision to celebrate Swami Vivekananda’s birthday as National Youth Day in an attempt to inspire, ignite, and empower the nation’s youth. He was born in Kolkata on January 12, 1863. He believed that it was only through selflessness and serving larger humanity one could truly find religion and God.

Ø भारत में, महानतम दार्शनिकों और आध्यात्मिक नेताओं में से एक; स्वामी विवेकानंद को सम्मानित करने के लिए उनकी जयंती 12 जनवरी को राष्ट्रीय युवा दिवस के रूप में मनाया जाता है। वर्ष1984 में, भारत सरकार ने देश के युवाओं को प्रेरित करने, प्रज्वलित करने और उन्हें सशक्त बनाने के प्रयास में स्वामी विवेकानंद के जन्मदिन को राष्ट्रीय युवा दिवस के रूप में मनाने का निर्णय लिया था। उनका जन्म 12 जनवरी, 1863 को कोलकाता में हुआ था। उनका मानना था कि केवल नि:स्वार्थ भाव से मानवता की सेवा करके ही कोई वास्तव में धर्म और ईश्वर को पा सकता है।

2. Space Kidz India, a Chennai-based space tech startup is slated to launch their satellite made by 750 girls studying in government schools across the country launch vehicle later this month. Last year, Space Kidz's payloads were onboard Skyroot Aerospace's Vikram-S launch vehicle, the first Indian private rocket to launch into space. A targeted launch date of January 16 has been set for the satellite named AzaadiSAT. Space Kidz India selected 10 girl students from 75 government schools across the country for this mission.

Ø स्पेस किड्ज इंडिया; जो एक चेन्नई स्थित अंतरिक्ष तकनीक स्टार्टअप है, इस माह के अंत में देश भर के सरकारी स्कूलों में पढ़ने वाली 750 लड़कियों द्वारा बनाए गए उपग्रह को लॉन्च करने जा रहा है। पिछले वर्ष, स्पेस किड्ज़ के पेलोड्स; स्काईरूट एयरोस्पेस के विक्रम-एस प्रक्षेपण वाहन पर स्थापित थे, जो अंतरिक्ष में लॉन्च होने वाला पहला भारतीय निजी रॉकेट था। आज़ादीसैट नामक उपग्रह के लिए 16 जनवरी की लक्षित प्रक्षेपण तिथि निर्धारित की गई है। स्पेस किड्ज इंडिया ने इस मिशन के लिए देशभर के 75 सरकारी स्कूलों की 10 छात्राओं का चयन किया।

3. A historic space mission that took off from Cornwall has ended after a rocket carrying the first satellites launched from British soil failed to reach orbit and was lost. It successfully released its rocket, called LauncherOne, carrying a payload of nine satellites off the south coast of Ireland. The rocket and satellites were lost. The Start Me Up mission had been heralded as the start of a new space era for the UK.

Ø कॉर्नवॉल से उड़ान भरने वाला एक ऐतिहासिक अंतरिक्ष अभियान के अंतर्गत यूके से प्रक्षेपित पहले उपग्रहों को ले जाने वाला एक रॉकेट कक्षा में पहुंचने में विफल होने के साथ-साथ खो गया है। इसने आयरलैंड के दक्षिणी तट से नौ उपग्रहों के पेलोड को ले जाने वाले लॉन्चरवन नामक अपने रॉकेट को सफलतापूर्वक छोड़ दिया था। कुछ क्षण बाद, रॉकेट और उपग्रह खो गए थे। “स्टार्ट मी अप मिशन” को यूनाइटेड किंगडम के लिए एक नए अंतरिक्ष युग के प्रारम्भ के रूप में घोषित किया गया था।

4.  Neeru Yadav, fondly known as 'Hockey Wali Sarpanch' has taken a new initiative to strengthen farmers of Lambi Ahir Village. Neeru Yadav has inked a pact with NABARD to start the Farmers Producers Organisation (FPO)with the assistance of SIIRD (Society of Indian Institute of Rural Development). FPO is a legal entity formed by primary producers. Producers such as farmers, milk producers, fishermen, weavers, rural artisans, craftsmen etc, can form a company basis equity share. ‘Sachhi Saheli Mahila Agro Producer Company Limited’ is the 15th such FPO launched by NABARD in Rajasthan where Neeru Yadav has taken the responsibility as Board of Directors of this company.

Ø हॉकी वाली सरपंच के नाम से मशहूर नीरू यादव ने लंबी अहीर गांव के किसानों को सशक्त बनाने के लिए एक नई पहल की शुरुआत की है। नीरू यादव ने SIIRD (सोसाइटी ऑफ इंडियन इंस्टीट्यूट ऑफ रूरल डेवलपमेंट) की सहायता से किसान उत्पादक संगठन (FPO) प्रारम्भ करने के लिए NABARD के साथ एक समझौता किया है। एफपीओ प्राथमिक उत्पादकों द्वारा गठित एक विधिक इकाई है। किसान, दुग्ध उत्पादक, मछुआरे, बुनकर, ग्रामीण कारीगर, शिल्पकार आदि जैसे उत्पादक कंपनी के आधार पर इक्विटी शेयर बना सकते हैं। 'सच्ची सहेली महिला एग्रो प्रोड्यूसर कंपनी लिमिटेड' राजस्थान में नाबार्ड द्वारा प्रारम्भ किया गया 15वां ऐसा एफपीओ है, जहां नीरू यादव ने इस कंपनी के निदेशक मंडल के रूप में पदभार संभाला है।

5.The Khelo India Senior Women National Kho Kho league is set to take place at Chandigarh University, Punjab from January 10 to January 13. The league is being organized by the Kho Kho Federation of India and will be held over three phases with full financial support from the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports. A total of 12 teams and close to 200 players are slated to participate.  The Khelo India women’s leagues, which are being held across multiple sports since 2021, is an initiative taken by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports to develop the overall sports ecosystem of the country.

Ø खेलो इंडिया सीनियर महिला राष्ट्रीय खो-खो लीग 10 जनवरी से 13 जनवरी तक चंडीगढ़ विश्वविद्यालय, पंजाब में आयोजित किया जा रहा है। इस लीग का आयोजन खो-खो फेडरेशन ऑफ इंडिया द्वारा किया जा रहा है और इसे तीन चरणों में युवा मामलों और खेल मंत्रालय से पूर्ण वित्तीय सहायता के साथ आयोजित किया जाएगा। इसके अंतर्गत कुल 12 टीमें और करीब 200 खिलाड़ी भाग लेंगे। खेलो इंडिया महिला लीग, जिसे वर्ष 2021 से आयोजित किया जा रहा है, देश के समग्र खेल पारिस्थितिकी तंत्र को विकसित करने के लिए युवा मामले और खेल मंत्रालय द्वारा प्रारम्भ की गई एक पहल है।

6.Anurag Kumar was appointed as the Chairman and Managing Director of Electronics Corporation of India Limited (ECIL). The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved Kumar’s appointment to the post till the date of his superannuation i.e 31.01.2026. This order was issued by the Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT).

Ø अनुराग कुमार को इलेक्ट्रॉनिक्स कॉर्पोरेशन ऑफ इंडिया लिमिटेड (ECIL) के अध्यक्ष और प्रबंध निदेशक के रूप में नियुक्त किया गया है। कैबिनेट की नियुक्ति समिति (एसीसी) ने कुमार की सेवानिवृत्ति की तिथि अर्थात 31.01.2026 तक इस पद पर नियुक्ति को स्वीकृति प्रदान कर दी है। यह आदेश कार्मिक और प्रशिक्षण विभाग (डीओपीटी) द्वारा जारी किया गया है।

7. National Human Trafficking Awareness Day on January 11 raises awareness of the persistent issue of human trafficking. Though the entire month of January has already been recognized as National Slavery and Human Trafficking Prevention Month, this day is specifically dedicated to awareness and prevention of the illegal practice. This holiday is also separate from the World Day Against Trafficking Persons, as established by the United Nations.

Ø 11 जनवरी को राष्ट्रीय मानव तस्करी जागरूकता दिवस मानव तस्करी के विषय में जागरूकता बढ़ाने के लिए मनाया जाता है। यद्यपि जनवरी के पूरे माह को पूर्व में राष्ट्रीय दासता और मानव तस्करी रोकथाम माह के रूप में मान्यता दी जा चुकी है, लेकिन यह दिन विशेष रूप से जागरूकता और अवैध अभ्यास की रोकथाम के लिए समर्पित है। यह दिन, संयुक्त राष्ट्र द्वारा स्थापित व्यक्तियों की तस्करी के विरुद्ध विश्व दिवस से भिन्न है।

8.India and Panama have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to enhance cooperation in the training of diplomats. In a bilateral meeting with Panama’s Foreign Minister Janaina Tewaney Mencomo in Indore, India discussed the opportunities for greater economic, health, finance and people to people linkages. As democracies, both countries have also shared their perspectives on global situations. India appreciated the Panamanian Minister for participating in the Pravasi Bharatiya Divas Convention.

Ø भारत और पनामा ने राजनयिकों के प्रशिक्षण में सहयोग बढ़ाने के लिए समझौता ज्ञापन (एमओयू) पर हस्ताक्षर किए हैं। भारत ने इंदौर में पनामा की विदेश मंत्री जनैना तेवने मेंकोमो के साथ आयोजित हुई इस द्विपक्षीय बैठक में व्यापक आर्थिक, स्वास्थ्य, वित्त और लोगों के बीच संबंधों के अवसरों पर चर्चा की है। लोकतंत्र होने के कारण दोनों देशों ने वैश्विक स्थितियों पर अपने दृष्टिकोण भी साझा किए हैं। भारत ने प्रवासी भारतीय दिवस सम्मेलन में भाग लेने के लिए पनामा के मंत्री की सराहना की है।

9. Squadron leader Avani Chaturvedi, the first female fighter pilot in the Indian Air Force (IAF), is scheduled to participate in the inaugural air exercise Veer Guardian 2023. The exercise is intended to strengthen bilateral air defence cooperation between India-Japan. This would mark the first occasion that women officers would be representing the nation abroad.  Veer Guardian 2023 will be held in Japan from January 16 to January 26 at the Hyakuri Air Base and its surrounding airspace in Omitama, as well as the Iruma Air Base in Sayama.

Ø स्क्वाड्रन लीडर अवनी चतुर्वेदी; जो भारतीय वायु सेना (IAF) में पहली महिला लड़ाकू पायलट हैं, वायु अभ्यास वीर गार्जियन 2023 के उद्घाटन में भाग लेने जा रही हैं। इस अभ्यास का उद्देश्य भारत-जापान के बीच द्विपक्षीय वायु रक्षा सहयोग को मजबूत करना है। यह पहला अवसर होगा जब कोई महिला अधिकारी, विदेश में भारत देश का प्रतिनिधित्व करेंगी। ‘वीर गार्जियन 2023’, जापान में 16 जनवरी से 26 जनवरी तक ओमिटामा में हयाकुरी एयर बेस और इसके आसपास के हवाई क्षेत्र के साथ-साथ सयामा में इरुमा एयर बेस में आयोजित किया जाएगा।

10.  The Union Minister of Ports, Shipping & Waterways and Ayush, Shri Sarbananda Sonowal, along with Dr Manik Saha, Chief Minister, Tripura inaugurated the School of Logistics, Waterways and Communication. The school will enable the rich pool of talent of the region to become world class experts in the transportation and logistics sector. It has been set up under State Institute of Public Administration and Rural Development (SIPARD). SIPARD is an autonomous body funded by the Government of Tripura and partially by the Ministry of Rural Development, Government of India.
