14 November Current Affairs 

1.Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar had a bilateral meeting with the Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen on the side-lines of the ongoing ASEAN Summit in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. Wide-ranging discussions were held on bilateral ties including human resource, de-mining and development projects. The leaders witnessed exchange of 4 MoUs signed in areas of culture, wildlife and health.

Ø उप राष्ट्रपति जगदीप धनखड़ ने कंबोडिया के नोम पेन्ह में चल रहे आसियान शिखर सम्मेलन दौरान कंबोडियाई प्रधानमंत्री हुन सेन के साथ द्विपक्षीय बैठक की है। इसके अंतर्गत मानव संसाधन, डी-माइनिंग और विकास परियोजनाओं सहित द्विपक्षीय संबंधों पर व्यापक चर्चा हुई है। दोनों नेताओं ने संस्कृति, वन्य जीवन और स्वास्थ्य के क्षेत्रों में हस्ताक्षरित 4 समझौता ज्ञापनों का आदान-प्रदान किया।

2.FIFA World Cup 2022 will be played from 20th November to 18th December this year across five cities in Qatar. It is the first football World Cup to be held in winter, as well as the first to be hosted by an Arab country. In the inaugural match, hosts Qatar will take on South American outfit Ecuador at the Al Bayt Stadium on the 20th of November. The tournament will be played across eight venues. 28 teams have been placed in eight groups.

Ø फीफा विश्व कप 2022 इस वर्ष 20 नवंबर से 18 दिसंबर तक कतर के पांच शहरों में खेला जाएगा। यह सर्दियों में आयोजित होने वाला पहला फुटबॉल विश्व कप और इसके साथ ही किसी अरब देश द्वारा आयोजित होने वाला पहला फुटबॉल विश्व कप है। उद्घाटन मैच में, मेजबान कतर 20 नवंबर को अल बेयट स्टेडियम में दक्षिण अमेरिकी संगठन इक्वाडोर से मैच खेलेगा। यह टूर्नामेंट आठ जगहों पर खेला जाएगा और इसमें 28 टीमों को आठ ग्रुप में रखा गया है।

3. Ministry of Rural Development (MoRD) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Gurugram-based Veddis Foundation to support setting up of effective governance systems under the Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana - National Rural Livelihood Mission (DAY-NRLM). The partnership is for three years and is non-financial in nature.  The DAY-NRLM is a flagship programme of the Centre.

Ø ग्रामीण विकास मंत्रालय (एमओआरडी) ने दीनदयाल अंत्योदय योजना - राष्ट्रीय ग्रामीण आजीविका मिशन (डीएवाई-एनआरएलएम) के अंतर्गत प्रभावी शासन प्रणाली स्थापित करने में सहायता के लिए गुरुग्राम स्थित वेदीस फाउंडेशन के साथ एक समझौता ज्ञापन (एमओयू) पर हस्ताक्षर किए हैं। यह समझौता तीन वर्ष के लिए है और गैर-वित्तीय प्रकृति का है। डीएवाई-एनआरएलएम केंद्र सरकार का एक प्रमुख कार्यक्रम है।

4. The seventh edition of the bilateral air exercise between the Indian Air Force (IAF) and the French Air and Space Force (FASF), 'Exercise Garuda-VII' concluded at Air Force Station, Jodhpur on 12 November 2022. Exercise Garuda-VII provided the two Air Forces with the opportunity for professional interaction and sharing of operational knowledge and experience.

Ø भारतीय वायु सेना (IAF) और फ्रांसीसी वायु और अंतरिक्ष बल (FASF) के बीच द्विपक्षीय वायु अभ्यास का सातवां संस्करण, ‘अभ्यास गरुड़-VII' 12 नवंबर 2022 को वायु सेना स्टेशन, जोधपुर में संपन्न हुआ था। अभ्यास गरुड़-VII का उद्देश्य दो वायु सेना के बीच पेशेवर बातचीत, परिचालन ज्ञान और अनुभव को साझा करने का अवसर प्रदान करना है ।

5.National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) has announced the launch of the BHIM App open-source license model. Under the new model, the source code of the BHIM app will be licensed to regulated entities participating in the UPI ecosystem. Further, new features that get launched on BHIM App in the future, will also be extended to these entities for them to continue. UPI transactions rose by 7.7 per cent to 730 crores in the month of October. 

Ø नेशनल पेमेंट्स कॉरपोरेशन ऑफ इंडिया (NPCI) ने BHIM ऐप ओपन-सोर्स लाइसेंस मॉडल लॉन्च करने की घोषणा की है। नए मॉडल के अंतर्गत, BHIM ऐप के सोर्स कोड को UPI इकोसिस्टम में भाग लेने वाली विनियमित संस्थाओं को लाइसेंस रूप में दिया जाएगा। इसके साथ ही, भविष्य में भीम ऐप पर लॉन्च की जाने वाली नई सुविधाओं को भी जारी रखने के लिए इन संस्थाओं तक विस्तारित किया जाएगा। अक्टूबर माह  में यूपीआई ट्रांजेक्शन 7.7 फीसदी बढ़कर 730 करोड़ रुपए हो गया है।

6. Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik announced Odisha will be made slum-free by December, 2023.The chief minister made the announcement while launching a survey using drones to facilitate the process of providing land rights to slum dwellers in five municipal corporations of the state. He also declared Hinjili, his own constituency and Digapahandi town in Ganjam district as ‘slum free’ and dedicated 707 ‘Biju Adarsh Colonies’ in 33 urban areas of the state.

Ø मुख्यमंत्री नवीन पटनायक ने घोषणा की है कि ओडिशा को दिसंबर, 2023 तक झुग्गी मुक्त बना दिया जाएगा। मुख्यमंत्री ने राज्य के पांच नगर निगमों में झुग्गीवासियों को भूमि अधिकार प्रदान करने की प्रक्रिया को सुविधाजनक बनाने के लिए ड्रोन का उपयोग करते हुए एक सर्वेक्षण प्रारम्भ करते हुए यह घोषणा की है। उन्होंने अपने निर्वाचन क्षेत्र हिंजिली और गंजम जिले के दिगापहांडी शहर को 'झुग्गी मुक्त' घोषित किया है और राज्य के 33 शहरी क्षेत्रों में 707 'बीजू आदर्श कॉलोनियों' को समर्पित किया है।

7.The Food Safety and Standard Association of India (FSSAI) awarded Bhopal Railway Station a 4-star ‘Eat Right Station’ certification for providing ‘"high-quality, nutritious food to passengers". The certification is part of the ‘Eat Right India’ movement- a large-scale effort by FSSAI to transform the country’s food system to ensure safe, healthy and sustainable food for all Indians. Chandigarh Railway station was the fifth Indian railway station to receive a 5-star ‘Eat Right Station’ certification in September 2021.

Ø फूड सेफ्टी एंड स्टैंडर्ड एसोसिएशन ऑफ इंडिया (FSSAI) ने भोपाल रेलवे स्टेशन को यात्रियों को "उच्च गुणवत्ता, पौष्टिक भोजन" प्रदान करने के लिए 4-स्टार 'ईट राइट स्टेशन' प्रमाणन से सम्मानित किया है। यह प्रमाणीकरण, 'ईट राइट इंडिया' आंदोलन; जो एफएसएसएआई द्वारा सभी भारतीयों के लिए सुरक्षित, स्वस्थ और टिकाऊ भोजन सुनिश्चित करने के लिए देश की खाद्य प्रणाली को बदलने के लिए बड़े पैमाने पर प्रयास करता है, का हिस्सा है। चंडीगढ़ रेलवे स्टेशन सितंबर 2021 में 5-स्टार 'ईट राइट स्टेशन' प्रमाणन प्राप्त करने वाला पांचवां भारतीय रेलवे स्टेशन था।

8.The year 2022 has been declared as the ASEAN-India Friendship year, as ASEAN and India commemorate 30 years of partnership. As a part of this programme, Indian media delegation is on a visit to Singapore and Cambodia under the ASEAN-INDIA Media exchange programme from 8th November to 13th November.

Ø वर्ष 2022 को आसियान-भारत मैत्री वर्ष के रूप में घोषित किया गया है, क्योंकि आसियान और भारत की साझेदारी के 30 वर्ष पूरे हो रहे हैं। इस कार्यक्रम के एक भाग के रूप में, भारतीय मीडिया प्रतिनिधिमंडल 8 नवंबर से 13 नवंबर तक आसियान-भारत मीडिया विनिमय कार्यक्रम के अंतर्गत सिंगापुर और कंबोडिया की यात्रा जा रहे हैं।

9.World Diabetes Day is celebrated every year on November 14, first created in 1991 by the International Diabetes Foundation and the World Health Organization. It is observed on the birth anniversary of Frederick Banting, who, along with Charles Best, discovered insulin. World Diabetes Day was recognised as a United Nations holiday Day in 2006.

Ø विश्व मधुमेह दिवस प्रत्येक वर्ष 14 नवंबर को मनाया जाता है, जिसे पहली बार 1991 में अंतर्राष्ट्रीय मधुमेह फाउंडेशन और विश्व स्वास्थ्य संगठन द्वारा निर्धारित किया गया था। यह फ्रेडरिक बैंटिंग की जयंती के उपलक्ष्य में मनाया जाता है, जिन्होंने चार्ल्स बेस्ट के साथ इंसुलिन की खोज की थी। विश्व मधुमेह दिवस को 2006 में संयुक्त राष्ट्र अवकाश दिवस के रूप में मान्यता प्रदान की गई थी। 

10. 'Bal Divas' is celebrated on November 14, 2022, to commemorate the birth anniversary of India's first Prime Minister Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru. The day is also recognized across the country to raise awareness about the rights, care, and education of children. Jawaharlal Nehru was born on November 14, 1889, and was known for his affection for children. In 1955, he also established the Children's Film Society to create indigenous cinema for children.

Ø 'बाल दिवस' 14 नवंबर, 2022 को भारत के प्रथम प्रधानमंत्री पंडित जवाहरलाल नेहरू की जयंती के उपलक्ष्य में मनाया जाता है। यह दिन बच्चों के अधिकारों, देखभाल और शिक्षा के बारे में जागरूकता बढ़ाने के लिए पूरे देश में भी मनाया जाता है। जवाहरलाल नेहरू का जन्म 14 नवंबर, 1889 को हुआ था और वे बच्चों के प्रति अपने स्नेह के लिए जाने जाते थे। 1955 में, उन्होंने बच्चों के लिए स्वदेशी सिनेमा बनाने के लिए चिल्ड्रन्स फिल्म सोसाइटी की स्थापना भी की थी।
