1.On the eve of the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup 2022, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik launched ‘Football for All’ campaign to promote the sports in the State. The programme in Odisha has been initiated by FIFA in partnership with KIIT and KISS. Over 43,000 footballs will be distributed in about 2,000 schools of the State. This is the first such programme by FIFA in India that aims at promoting football among school children.

Ø फीफा अंडर-17 महिला विश्व कप 2022 की पूर्व संध्या पर, मुख्यमंत्री नवीन पटनायक ने राज्य में खेलों को प्रोत्साहन देने के लिए 'सभी के लिए फुटबॉल' अभियान प्रारम्भ किया है। फीफा ने केआईआईटी और केआईएसएस के साथ साझेदारी में ओडिशा में इस कार्यक्रम की शुरुआत की है। राज्य के लगभग 2,000 स्कूलों में 43,000 से अधिक फुटबॉल वितरित किए जाएंगे। फीफा द्वारा भारत में यह पहला ऐसा कार्यक्रम है जिसका उद्देश्य स्कूली बच्चों के बीच फुटबॉल को प्रोत्साहन देना है।

2. Former chairperson of Nagaland Women Commission, Padma Shri Dr. Temsüla Ao passed away in Dimapur. She was recipient of the Governor’s Gold Medal (Meghalaya 2009) and Sahitya Akademi Award. She is widely respected as one of the major literary voices in English to emerge from Northeast India and her works have been translated into German, French, Assamese, Bengali and Hindi. Some of her poems are prescribed texts in the M.A. English syllabus of Nagaland University and M. Phil English Syllabus of NEHU.She has an entry on Folklore of Nagaland in the Greenwood Encyclopaedia of World Folklore and Folk Life, Westport Connecticut.

Ø नागालैंड महिला आयोग की पूर्व अध्यक्ष पद्मश्री डॉ. तेम्सुला एओ का दीमापुर में निधन हो गया।  वह राज्यपाल के स्वर्ण पदक (मेघालय 2009) और साहित्य अकादमी पुरस्कार की प्राप्तकर्ता थीं। उन्हें पूर्वोत्तर भारत से उभरने वाली अंग्रेजी की प्रमुख साहित्यिक आवाज़ों में से एक के रूप में व्यापक रूप से सम्मानित किया जाता है और उनकी रचनाओं का जर्मन, फ्रेंच, असमिया, बंगाली और हिंदी में अनुवाद किया गया है। उनकी कुछ कविताएँ नागालैंड विश्वविद्यालय के एमए अंग्रेजी पाठ्यक्रम और एनईएचयू के एम. फिल अंग्रेजी पाठ्यक्रम में निर्धारित ग्रंथ हैं।

3. Union Home Minister Amit Shah paid floral tributes to socialist icon Jayaprakash Narayan on his birth anniversary at his ancestral village at Sitabdiara in the Saran district of Bihar. Mr. Shah also unveiled a 14 feet high statue of Lok nayak Jayprakash Narayan at the JP memorial building at his birthplace, Lala Tola.

Ø केंद्रीय गृह मंत्री अमित शाह ने बिहार के सारण जिले के सीताबदियारा में अपने पैतृक गांव में समाजवादी आइकन जयप्रकाश नारायण को उनकी जयंती पर पुष्पांजलि अर्पित की। श्री शाह ने उनके जन्मस्थान लाला टोला स्थित जेपी स्मारक भवन में लोक नायक जयप्रकाश नारायण की 14 फीट ऊंची प्रतिमा का अनावरण भी किया।

4. Truck and bus maker Ashok Leyland and IIT-M researchers at National Centre for Combustion Research and Development (NCCRD) have entered into a collaboration for the development and commercialisation of ‘Swirl Mesh Lean Direct Injection (LDI) system’ technology for developing a series of hybrid electric vehicles using this turbine technology. This collaboration will enable the development and demonstration of a series of vehicles with a hybrid concept equipped with the Micro Gas Turbine called the ‘Turbine electric vehicle’ (TEV). A collaborative project aims to establish a powertrain that has ultra-low emissions, low cost of ownership, fuel flexibility, and a reliable system for long-range heavy vehicles.

Ø ट्रक और बस निर्माता अशोक लीलैंड और नेशनल सेंटर फॉर कम्बशन रिसर्च एंड डेवलपमेंट (एनसीसीआरडी) के आईआईटी-एम शोधकर्ताओं ने एक श्रृंखला विकसित करने के लिए 'स्वर्ल मेश लीन डायरेक्ट इंजेक्शन (एलडीआई) सिस्टम' तकनीक के विकास और व्यावसायीकरण के लिए एक समझौता किया है।यह समझौता माइक्रो गैस टर्बाइन से लैस हाइब्रिड अवधारणा वाले वाहनों की एक श्रृंखला के विकास और प्रदर्शन को सक्षम करेगा जिसे 'टरबाइन इलेक्ट्रिक वाहन' (टीईवी) कहा जाता है। इस सहयोगी परियोजना का उद्देश्य एक पावरट्रेन स्थापित करना है जिसमें अल्ट्रा-कम उत्सर्जन, स्वामित्व की कम लागत, ईंधन लचीलापन और लंबी दूरी के भारी वाहनों के लिए एक विश्वसनीय प्रणाली शामिल हो।

5. Union Minister for Women and Child Development Smriti Irani has announced to make available special skill sets for girls and boys in all 7000 Child Care Institutions so that they become financially empowered. During the function, Mrs. Irani released an operation manual of Beti Bachao Beti Padhao.

Ø केंद्रीय महिला एवं बाल विकास मंत्री स्मृति ईरानी ने सभी 7000 चाइल्ड केयर संस्थानों में लड़कियों और लड़कों के लिए विशेष कौशल सेट उपलब्ध कराने की घोषणा की है, जिससे कि वे आर्थिक रूप से सशक्त हो सकें। इस समारोह के दौरान श्रीमती ईरानी ने बेटी बचाओ, बेटी पढाओ के ऑपरेशन मैनुअल का विमोचन किया।

6. PM Narendra Modi flagged off the country's fourth Vande Bharat express train today. This express train was launched from Himachal Pradesh's Una. The new Vande Bharat Express will run from Amb Andaura to New Delhi. This train is an advanced version compared to the earlier ones, being much lighter and capable of reaching higher speeds in a shorter duration. The introduction of the train will help boost tourism in the region and provide a comfortable and faster mode of travel.

Ø पीएम नरेंद्र मोदी ने देश की चौथी वंदे भारत एक्सप्रेस ट्रेन को हरी झंडी दिखाई है। इस एक्सप्रेस ट्रेन को हिमाचल प्रदेश के ऊना से लॉन्च किया गया है। नई वंदे भारत एक्सप्रेस अंब अंदौरा से नई दिल्ली के लिए चलेगी। यह ट्रेन पहले की तुलना में एक उन्नत संस्करण है, जो बहुत हल्की है और कम अवधि में उच्च गति तक पहुंचने में सक्षम है। इस ट्रेन के प्रारम्भ होने से क्षेत्र में पर्यटन को बढ़ावा देने और यात्रा का एक आरामदायक और तेज तरीका प्रदान करने में सहायता मिलेगी।

7. President Droupadi Murmu will flag off, from Agartala Railway Station, the special extension of Guwahati-Kolkata-Guwahati train upto Agartala and extension of Agartala-Jiribam-Agartala Jan Shatabdi Express upto Khongsang, Manipur. At IIT Guwahati, the President will virtually inaugurate and lay the foundation stones for various projects of Union Ministries of Electronics and Information Technology and Health and Family Welfare and Government of Assam. These include Supercomputer facility Param Kamrupa.

Ø राष्ट्रपति द्रौपदी मूर्मू अगरतला रेलवे स्टेशन से गुवाहाटी-कोलकाता-गुवाहाटी ट्रेन के विशेष विस्तार को अगरतला तक और अगरतला-जिरीबाम-अगरतला जन शताब्दी एक्सप्रेस को खोंगसांग, मणिपुर तक हरी झंडी दिखाकर रवाना करेंगी। इसके साथ ही आईआईटी गुवाहाटी में, राष्ट्रपति केंद्रीय इलेक्ट्रॉनिक्स और सूचना प्रौद्योगिकी मंत्रालय और स्वास्थ्य और परिवार कल्याण और असम सरकार की विभिन्न परियोजनाओं का उद्घाटन और आधारशिला रखेंगी। इसकेअंतर्गत सुपर कंप्यूटर सुविधा परम कामरूप भी शामिल है।

8. The Offshore Security Exercise, ‘Prasthan’ in the Offshore Development Area (ODA) off Kakinada was conducted by  Eastern Naval Command. The Half Yearly Exercise was conducted in the KG basin to validate SOPs, address various contingencies and strengthen the command & control organisation towards Maritime Security. The exercise is coordinated by the Indian Navy and involves all stakeholders in the maritime domain, including oil and gas operators, the State Marine Police, Dept of Fisheries and the Indian Coast Guard, etc.

Ø पूर्वी नौसेना कमान द्वारा काकीनाडा के अपतटीय विकास क्षेत्र (ओडीए) में अपतटीय सुरक्षा अभ्यास, 'प्रस्थान' का आयोजन किया गया है। यह अर्धवार्षिक अभ्यास केजी बेसिन में एसओपी को मान्य करने, विभिन्न आकस्मिकताओं को संबोधित करने और समुद्री सुरक्षा के लिए कमान और नियंत्रण संगठन को मजबूत करने के लिए आयोजित किया गया था। अभ्यास भारतीय नौसेना द्वारा समन्वित है और समुद्री क्षेत्र में सभी हितधारकों को शामिल करता है, जिसमें तेल और गैस ऑपरेटर, राज्य समुद्री पुलिस, मत्स्य पालन विभाग और भारतीय तट रक्षक आदि शामिल हैं।

9. Union Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports Shri Anurag Singh Thakur has inaugurated a Water Sports Center in Koldam Barmana, Bilaspur, Himachal Pradesh. The centre will be dedicated to training athletes in water sports like Rowing, Canoeing and Kayaking. 40 players will be chosen who will take part in Rowing, Kayaking and Canoeing. There are state of the art equipments and boys and girls will get hostel and training facilities.  The Water Sports Centre, the very first of its kind in Himachal Pradesh, has been jointly initiated by the Sports Authority of India (SAI) and National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC). The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was also exchanged between SAI and NTPC during the event.]

Ø केंद्रीय युवा मामले और खेल मंत्री श्री अनुराग सिंह ठाकुर ने कोल्डम बरमाना, बिलासपुर, हिमाचल प्रदेश में एक जल क्रीड़ा केंद्र का उद्घाटन किया है। यह केंद्र; रोइंग, कैनोइंग और कयाकिंग जैसे पानी के खेलों में एथलीटों को प्रशिक्षण देने के लिए समर्पित होगा। इसके अंतर्गत 40 खिलाड़ियों का चयन किया जाएगा जो रोइंग, कयाकिंग और कैनोइंग में भाग लेंगे। यहाँ अत्याधुनिक उपकरण हैं और लड़कों और लड़कियों को छात्रावास और प्रशिक्षण की सुविधा प्राप्त होगी। हिमाचल प्रदेश में अपनी तरह का पहला वाटर स्पोर्ट्स सेंटर, भारतीय खेल प्राधिकरण (SAI) और राष्ट्रीय ताप विद्युत निगम (NTPC) द्वारा संयुक्त रूप से प्रारम्भ किया गया है। आयोजन के दौरान SAI और NTPC के बीच समझौता ज्ञापन (MoU) का भी आदान-प्रदान किया गया।

10. The 36th National Games came to a close with a glittering ceremony at Surat yesterday evening.  Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar chaired the closing ceremony. On the concluding day yesterday, Services topped the medal tally with a total of 128 medals including 61 Gold, 35 silver, and 32 bronze medals. Maharashtra secured the number 2 position with 140 medals including 39 gold and Haryana number 3 with 116 medals with 38 Gold. Goa will host the 37th National Games in October next year.

Ø 36वें राष्ट्रीय खेलों का समापन सूरत में एक शानदार समारोह के साथ हुआ। समापन समारोह की अध्यक्षता उपराष्ट्रपति जगदीप धनखड़ ने की। खेल के अंतिम दिन, सर्विसेज ने 61 स्वर्ण, 35 रजत और 32 कांस्य पदक सहित कुल 128 पदकों के साथ पदक तालिका में शीर्ष स्थान प्राप्त किया है। महाराष्ट्र ने 39 स्वर्ण सहित 140 पदक के साथ दूसरा और 38 स्वर्ण के साथ 116 पदक के साथ हरियाणा ने तीसरा स्थान प्राप्त किया है। गोवा अगले वर्ष अक्टूबर में 37वें राष्ट्रीय खेलों की मेजबानी करेगा।
