1.The Centre has extended the timeline for disbursement of loans up to March 31 under the ethanol blending programme interest subsidy scheme, notified first in 2018, to facilitate entrepreneurs to complete their projects while availing of government support.

Ø सरकार ने, सरकारी सहायता का लाभ उठाते हुए उद्यमियों को अपनी परियोजनाओं को पूरा करने की सुविधा के लिए; 2018 में पहली बार अधिसूचित इथेनॉल सम्मिश्रण कार्यक्रम ब्याज सब्सिडी योजना के अंतर्गत ऋण के वितरण की समय-सीमा 31 मार्च तक बढ़ा दी है।

2. Ananth Narayan Gopalakrishnan took charge as Whole Time Member, Securities and Exchange Board of India, in Mumbai. Narayan has over 25 years of experience in banking and financial markets and has held various senior positions. Prior to this assignment, he also held the position of Associate Professor, SP Jain Institute of Management & Research, Mumbai.

Ø अनंत नारायण गोपालकृष्णन ने मुंबई में भारतीय प्रतिभूति और विनिमय बोर्ड के पूर्णकालिक सदस्य के रूप में कार्यभार संभाला है। नारायण को बैंकिंग और वित्तीय बाजारों में 25 से अधिक वर्षों का अनुभव है और उन्होंने विभिन्न वरिष्ठ पदों पर कार्य किया है। इस कार्यभार से पहले, उन्होंने एसोसिएट प्रोफेसर, एसपी जैन इंस्टीट्यूट ऑफ मैनेजमेंट एंड रिसर्च, मुंबई के पद पर भी कार्य किया है।

3. Indian travellers to Europe would soon be able to make payments from their Indian bank accounts using the Unified Payments Interface (UPI) with the National Payments Corporation of India’s (NPCI) international arm entering into a pact with payments services operator Worldline. It will be mandatory for users to have an Indian bank account with an UPI activated on their accounts. The users will also need an app to make UPI payments, like the BHIM app. The service will be available at point-of-sale terminals deployed by Worldline.

Ø नेशनल पेमेंट्स कॉरपोरेशन ऑफ इंडिया (एनपीसीआई) की अंतरराष्ट्रीय शाखा ने पेमेंट सर्विस ऑपरेटर वर्ल्डलाइन के साथ समझौता किया है, जिसके साथ ही अबयूरोप जाने वाले भारतीय यात्री शीघ्र ही यूनिफाइड पेमेंट्स इंटरफेस (यूपीआई) का उपयोग करके अपने भारतीय बैंक खातों से भुगतान करने में सक्षम होंगे। उपयोगकर्ताओं के लिए उनके खातों पर सक्रिय UPI के साथ एक भारतीय बैंक खाता होना अनिवार्य होगा। उपयोगकर्ताओं को भीम ऐप की तरह यूपीआई भुगतान करने के लिए एक ऐप की भी आवश्यकता होगी। यह सेवा वर्ल्डलाइन द्वारा स्थापित पॉइंट-ऑफ-सेल टर्मिनलों पर उपलब्ध होगी।

4. Chief Justice of India (CJI) UU Lalit has recommended DY Chandrachud as his successor. Chandrachud will be the 50th CJI and hold the top judicial post for two years till November 10, 2024. According to rules, the retiring CJI names the senior-most judge as successor after recommending their name to the Union Law and Justice Ministry. Lalit will retire on November 8. The outgoing CJI chooses the next CJI based on seniority.Chandrachud was the additional solicitor general of India in 1998 and was sworn-in as the chief justice of the Allahabad High Court in 2013. He has also been a judge at the Bombay High Court. He was elevated to the Supreme Court in 2016.

Ø भारत के मुख्य न्यायाधीश यू० यू० ललित ने डीवाई चंद्रचूड़ को उनके उत्तराधिकारी के रूप में सिफारिश की है। चंद्रचूड़ 50वें CJI होंगे और 10 नवंबर, 2024 तक दो वर्ष के लिए शीर्ष न्यायिक पद पर रहेंगे। नियमों के अनुसार, सेवानिवृत्त CJI केंद्रीय कानून और न्याय मंत्रालय को उनके नाम की सिफारिश करने के बाद उत्तराधिकारी के रूप में सबसे वरिष्ठ न्यायाधीश के नाम की सिफारिश करते हैं। ललित 8 नवंबर को सेवानिवृत्त होंगे। निवर्तमान CJI वरिष्ठता के आधार पर अगले CJI का चयन करते हैं। चंद्रचूड़ 1998 में भारत के अतिरिक्त सॉलिसिटर जनरल थे और उन्होंने 2013 में इलाहाबाद उच्च न्यायालय के मुख्य न्यायाधीश के रूप में शपथ ली थी। वह बॉम्बे उच्च न्यायालय में न्यायाधीश भी रहे हैं। उन्हें 2016 में सुप्रीम कोर्ट में पदोन्नत किया गया था।

5. Chennai Super Kings (CSK) inaugurated the SuperKings academy in Hosur. The facility has been set-up at the MS Dhoni global school. The Hosur centre will the first franchise-based Super Kings academy in the country. The Hosur facility will have a total of eight pitches and also include a turf in the country. This will be the third Super Kings academy in the country with centres already present in Salem and Chennai. The Hosur facility will be functional from January 2023.

Ø चेन्नई सुपर किंग्स (सीएसके) ने को होसुर में सुपरकिंग्स अकादमी का उद्घाटन किया। यह सुविधा एमएस धोनी ग्लोबल स्कूल में स्थापित की गई है। होसुर सेंटर देश की पहली फ्रेंचाइजी आधारित सुपर किंग्स अकादमी होगी। होसुर परिसर में कुल आठ पिचें होंगी और इसमें एक टर्फ भी शामिल होगा। यह देश की तीसरी सुपर किंग्स अकादमी होगी। इसके पहले दो केंद्र सलेम और चेन्नई में स्थापित किये गए हैं। होसुर सुविधा जनवरी 2023 से कार्य करना प्रारम्भ करेगी।

6. The FIFA, in partnership with the AIFF, and the support of the Union Government, on Monday launched the Football for Schools project in the country, which is aimed at broad-basing the beautiful game across India. FIFA Secretary General Fatima Samoura, Union Minister for Education and Skill Development and Entrepreneurship Dharmendra Pradhan, Minister of State for Youth Affairs and Sports Nisith Pramanik and AIFF President Kalyan Chaubey launched the initiative here. The FIFA project, which also aims to reach out to over 700 million children worldwide, would lay special emphasis on reaching out to all the tribal communities of the world.

Ø फीफा ने एआईएफएफ के साथ  समझौते में, और केंद्र सरकार के समर्थन से, देश में स्कूलों के लिए फुटबॉल परियोजना शुरू की, जिसका उद्देश्य पूरे भारत में सुंदर खेल को व्यापक बनाना है। फीफा महासचिव फातिमा समौरा, केंद्रीय शिक्षा और कौशल विकास और उद्यमिता मंत्री धर्मेंद्र प्रधान, युवा मामले और खेल राज्य मंत्री निसिथ प्रमाणिक और एआईएफएफ अध्यक्ष कल्याण चौबे ने इस पहल की शुरुआत की है। फीफा परियोजना, जिसका उद्देश्य विश्व भर में 700 मिलियन से अधिक बच्चों तक पहुंचना है, विश्व के सभी आदिवासी समुदायों तक पहुंचने पर विशेष जोर देगी।

7. The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has cancelled the licence of Pune-based The Seva Vikas Co-operative Bank Ltd. The central bank said that the licence has been cancelled because of the company's earnings prospects and lack of capital. As such, it does not comply with the provisions of Section 11(1) and Section 22 (3) (d) read with Section 56 of the Banking Regulation Act, 1949.

Ø भारतीय रिजर्व बैंक (RBI) ने पुणे स्थित सेवा विकास सहकारी बैंक लिमिटेड का लाइसेंस रद्द कर दिया है। केंद्रीय बैंक के अनुसार कंपनी के आय की संभावनाओं और पूंजी की कमी के कारण लाइसेंस रद्द कर दिया गया है। इस प्रकार, यह बैंकिंग विनियमन अधिनियम, 1949 की धारा 56 के साथ पठित धारा 11(1) और धारा 22 (3)(डी) के प्रावधानों का अनुपालन नहीं करता है।

8. IDBI Bank has signed a memorandum of understanding with Vayana Network as its first fintech partner for end-to-end digitalization services. This partnership aims to contribute in the growth of the supply chain finance penetration in India, which is less than 1% of gross domestic product (GDP) and contributes only 5% of the outstanding banking assets.This platform is expected to reduce paperwork, and transaction processing time while providing a smooth customer experience throughout.

Ø आईडीबीआई बैंक ने वायना नेटवर्क के साथ एंड-टू-एंड डिजिटलाइजेशन सेवाओं के लिए अपने पहले फिनटेक पार्टनर के रूप में एक समझौता ज्ञापन पर हस्ताक्षर किए हैं। इस साझेदारी का उद्देश्य भारत में आपूर्ति श्रृंखला वित्त की उचित संरचना के विकास में योगदान करना है, जो सकल घरेलू उत्पाद (जीडीपी) के 1% से कम है और बकाया बैंकिंग संपत्ति का केवल 5% योगदान देता है। इस प्लेटफॉर्म से कागजी कार्रवाई, और लेनदेन प्रसंस्करण समय को कम करने की उम्मीद है, और इस प्रकार ग्राहक को एक सहज अनुभव प्रदान किया जाएगा।

9. Ministry of Defence is organising the 12th edition of the prestigious biennial defence exhibition - DefExpo 2022 – in Gandhinagar, Gujarat between October 18-22, 2022. This mega defence exhibition is focusing on Land, Air, Naval and Homeland Security systems. The seminars during the event will be held at Mahatma Mandir Convention and Exhibition Centre, Gandhinagar in a hybrid format, enabling the speakers as well as the audience to participate virtually. These will be streamed worldwide. The seminars will be conducted by the leading Industry Associations, Think Tanks, Indian Defence Public Sector Entities, Service Headquarters (SHQs), Defence Research & Development Organisation (DRDO), Directorate General of Quality Assurance (DGQA), Ministry of Civil Aviation and State Government etc.

10. Indian Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT-In) in collaboration with Power-CSIRTs (Computer Security Incident Response Teams in Power sector), successfully designed & conducted the Cyber Security Exercise “PowerEX” for 193 invited Power Sector Utilities, here yesterday. The Objective of the exercise was to “Recognize, Analyse & Respond to Cyber Incident in IT & OT Systems”. The theme of the exercise was “Defending Cyber induced disruption in IT & OT infrastructure”.

Ø इंडियन कंप्यूटर इमरजेंसी रिस्पांस टीम (सीईआरटी-इन) ने पावर-सीएसआईआरटी (पावर सेक्टर में कंप्यूटर सिक्योरिटी इंसीडेंट रिस्पांस टीम) के सहयोग से, 193 आमंत्रित पावर सेक्टर यूटिलिटीज के लिए साइबर सुरक्षा अभ्यास "पॉवरएक्स" का सफलतापूर्वक डिजाइन और संचालन किया है। इस अभ्यास का उद्देश्य "आईटी और ओटी सिस्टम में साइबर घटना को पहचानना, विश्लेषण करना और प्रतिक्रिया देना" है। अभ्यास का विषय "आईटी और ओटी आधारभूत ढांचे में साइबर प्रेरित व्यवधान का बचाव" है।
