1.     India’s trade exhibited an impressive performance with India’s overall export (Merchandise and Services combined) of USD 58.22 Billion in November2022. The exports exhibited a positive growth of 10.97 per cent over the same period last year. Overall import in November 2022 is estimated to be USD 69.33 Billion, exhibiting a positive growth of 5.60 per cent over the same period last year.

Ø भारत के कुल व्यापार ने, नवंबर 2022 में 58.22 बिलियन अमरीकी डालर के भारत के समग्र निर्यात (संयुक्त रूप में वस्तु और सेवा) के साथ एक प्रभावशाली प्रदर्शन किया है । पिछले वर्ष की समान अवधि की तुलना में निर्यात में 10.97 प्रतिशत की धनात्मक वृद्धि प्रदर्शित हुई है। नवंबर 2022 में कुल आयात 69.33 अरब अमेरिकी डॉलर होने का अनुमान है, जो पिछले वर्ष की समान अवधि की तुलना में 5.60 प्रतिशत की सकारात्मक वृद्धि को प्रदर्शित करता है।

2.     The 16th Edition of Indo-Nepal joint training Exercise “SURYA KIRAN-XVI” between India and Nepal will be conducted at Nepal Army Battle School, Saljhandi (Nepal), from 16 - 29 December 2022. Exercise “SURYA KIRAN” is conducted annually between India and Nepal with the aim to enhance interoperability in jungle warfare & counter terrorism operations in mountainous terrain and HADR under UN mandate.

Ø भारत और नेपाल की सेनाओं के बीच भारत-नेपाल संयुक्त सैन्य प्रशिक्षण अभ्यास का 16वां संस्करण "सूर्य किरण-XVI" 16 से 29 दिसंबर 2022 तक नेपाल में सलझंडी के नेपाल आर्मी बैटल स्कूल में आयोजित किया जाएगा। संयुक्त राष्ट्र के अधिदेश के अंतर्गत पहाड़ी इलाकों में जंगल युद्ध तथा आतंकवाद रोधी अभियानों में मानवीय सहायता एवं आपदा राहत कार्यों में अंतर-क्षमता बढ़ाने के उद्देश्य से भारत और नेपाल के बीच प्रतिवर्ष अभ्यास "सूर्य किरण" आयोजित किया जाता है।

3.     The Hon’ble President of India, Smt Droupadi Murmu presented the National Energy Conservation Awards, National Energy Efficiency Innovation Awards and National Painting Competition prizes in New Delhi today (December 14, 2022) on the occasion of National Energy Conservation Day. On this Occasion, Indian Railways were presented with Nine National Energy Conservation Awards for the year 2022. These awards were presented in a function held by the Bureau of Energy Efficiency under the aegis of Ministry of Power, Government of India at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi. These awards are declared for the best energy management practices during the year 2022.

Ø राष्ट्रपति श्रीमती द्रौपदी मुर्मू ने राष्ट्रीय ऊर्जा संरक्षण दिवस के अवसर पर 14 दिसंबर, 2022 को नई दिल्ली में राष्ट्रीय ऊर्जा संरक्षण पुरस्कार, राष्ट्रीय ऊर्जा दक्षता नवोन्मेष पुरस्कार और राष्ट्रीय चित्रकला प्रतियोगिता पुरस्कार प्रदान किए हैं। इस अवसर पर भारतीय रेल को वर्ष 2022 के लिये नौ राष्ट्रीय ऊर्जा संरक्षण पुरस्कार प्राप्त हुए हैं। इन पुरस्कारों को नई दिल्ली के विज्ञान भवन में केंद्रीय विद्युत मंत्रालय के तत्त्वावधान में ऊर्जा दक्षता ब्यूरो द्वारा आयोजित एक समारोह में प्रदान किया गया है। ये पुरस्कार वर्ष 2022 के दौरान सर्वश्रेष्ठ ऊर्जा प्रबंधन के लिये घोषित किए गये थे।

4.     Indian Institute of Technology, Ropar and the Army Training Command (ARTRAC) of the Indian Army signed an agreement for setting up a centre of excellence for studies and applied research in defence and security at the premier institute. The COE (centre of excellence) will be set up with an aim to leverage IIT Ropar's technical expertise and ARTRAC's operational expertise in advanced materials and manufacturing, design and development of deep learning algorithms, multipath and wireless networks, data transmission tools, remote sensing and forecasting, cyber security and some other areas.

Ø भारतीय प्रौद्योगिकी संस्थान, रोपड़ और भारतीय सेना के आर्मी ट्रेनिंग कमांड (ARTRAC) ने प्रमुख संस्थान में रक्षा और सुरक्षा में अध्ययन और अनुप्रयुक्त अनुसंधान के लिए उत्कृष्टता केंद्र स्थापित करने के लिए एक समझौते पर हस्ताक्षर किया है। COE (उत्कृष्टता केंद्र) की स्थापना; IIT रोपड़ की तकनीकी विशेषज्ञता और ARTRAC की उन्नत सामग्री और निर्माण, गहन शिक्षण एल्गोरिदम के डिजाइन और विकास, मल्टीपाथ और वायरलेस नेटवर्क, डेटा ट्रांसमिशन टूल्स, रिमोट सेंसिंग और ARTRAC की पूर्वानुमान, साइबर सुरक्षा और कुछ अन्य क्षेत्र में परिचालन विशेषज्ञता का लाभ उठाने के उद्देश्य से की जाएगी।

5.     HDFC Bank announced the launch of its sixth annual grants program for social startups in partnership with the Government of India’s flagship initiative ‘Startup India’. Known as Parivartan SmartUp Grants, the program aims to identify startups working in the social impact space and support them through monetary grants to their incubators. The grants have been offered under the aegis of Parivartan, the umbrella name for the bank’s social initiatives. It aims to assist start-ups in achieving their goals through the bank’s well renowned and highly advanced smart financial tools, advisory services, and technology.

Ø एचडीएफसी बैंक ने भारत सरकार की प्रमुख पहल 'स्टार्टअप इंडिया' के साथ साझेदारी में सामाजिक स्टार्टअप के लिए अपना छठा वार्षिक अनुदान कार्यक्रम प्रारम्भ करने की घोषणा की है। परिवर्तन स्मार्टअप ग्रांट्स के रूप में प्रसिद्ध इस कार्यक्रम का उद्देश्य सामाजिक प्रभाव क्षेत्र में काम करने वाले स्टार्टअप्स की पहचान करना और उनके इनक्यूबेटरों को मौद्रिक अनुदान के माध्यम से समर्थन देना है। बैंक की सामाजिक पहलों के छत्र नाम परिवर्तन के तत्वावधान में अनुदान की प्रस्तुति की गई है। इसका उद्देश्य स्टार्ट-अप्स को बैंक के प्रसिद्ध और अत्यधिक उन्नत स्मार्ट वित्तीय साधनों, सलाहकार सेवाओं और प्रौद्योगिकी के माध्यम से अपने लक्ष्यों को प्राप्त करने में सहायता करना है।

6.     The future generation of New Zealanders will not be able to get their hands-on cigarettes as a part of a package of new anti-smoking laws which was passed by the parliament on Tuesday. The new law states that anyone who is born after 2008 will not be able to buy a packet of cigarettes or tobacco products. The bill was introduced by New Zealand Health Minister Ayesha Verrall. While introducing the bill, the Health Minister said that it was a step "towards a smoke-free future".

Ø संसद द्वारा पारित किए गए नए धूम्रपान-विरोधी कानूनों के समूहों के अंतर्गत न्यूज़ीलैंड-वासियों की भावी पीढ़ी के  धूम्रपान करने पर रोक लग गयी है। नए कानून के अनुसार, 2008 के बाद जन्म लेने वाला कोई भी व्यक्ति सिगरेट या तंबाकू उत्पादों का एक भी पैकेट नहीं खरीद पाएगा। बिल को न्यूजीलैंड की स्वास्थ्य मंत्री आयशा वेराल ने प्रस्तुत किया था। विधेयक प्रस्तुत करते हुए स्वास्थ्य मंत्री ने कहा कि यह "धूम्रपान मुक्त भविष्य की ओर" एक कदम है।

7.     France will host an International conference "Standing with the Ukrainian People" in Paris with an aim to coordinate international support for civilian resilience in Ukraine and address the Ukrainian people's urgent humanitarian needs. The conference is organised at the initiative of French President Emmanuel Macron and is co-organised with Ukraine. This international conference will gather representatives from 47 countries as well as 22 international organizations and financial institutions.

Ø फ़्रांस, पेरिस में "यूक्रेनी लोगों के साथ खड़े हैं" नामक एक अंतर्राष्ट्रीय सम्मेलन की मेजबानी करेगा, जिसका उद्देश्य यूक्रेन में नागरिक लचीलेपन के लिए अंतर्राष्ट्रीय समर्थन का समन्वय करना और यूक्रेन के लोगों की तत्काल मानवीय आवश्यकताओं को पूरा करना है। यह सम्मेलन फ्रांसीसी राष्ट्रपति इमैनुएल मैक्रॉन की पहल पर आयोजित किया गया है और यूक्रेन के साथ सह-आयोजित है। इस अंतर्राष्ट्रीय सम्मेलन में 47 देशों के प्रतिनिधियों के साथ-साथ 22 अंतर्राष्ट्रीय संगठनों और वित्तीय संस्थानों के प्रतिनिधि एकत्रित होंगे।

8.     The India International Science Festival (IISF)-2022 will be held in Bhopal in January 2023 and incidentally, it is one of the major events to be organized after India assumes the G-20 Presidency. India International Science Festival (IISF)-2022 will be held at the capital city of India's Heart-Bhopal from 21st to 24th January 2023. IISF 2022 is the eighth edition since its inception in 2015. IISF is an initiative of the Ministry of Science and Technology and Ministry of Earth Sciences, Government of India in collaboration with Vigyan Bharati which is a science movement with indigenous spirit led by eminent scientists of the country.

Ø इंडिया इंटरनेशनल साइंस फेस्टिवल (IISF) -2022 जनवरी 2023 में भोपाल में आयोजित किया जाएगा और संयोगवश, यह भारत द्वारा G-20 की अध्यक्षता ग्रहण करने के बाद आयोजित होने वाले प्रमुख कार्यक्रमों में से एक है। इंडिया इंटरनेशनल साइंस फेस्टिवल (IISF)-2022 भारत की राजधानी भोपाल में 21 से 24 जनवरी 2023 तक आयोजित किया जाएगा। IISF-2022, 2015 में अपनी स्थापना के बाद से आठवां संस्करण है। IISF विज्ञान और मंत्रालय की एक पहल है। प्रौद्योगिकी और पृथ्वी विज्ञान मंत्रालय, भारत सरकार ने विज्ञान भारती के सहयोग से देश के प्रतिष्ठित वैज्ञानिकों के नेतृत्व में स्वदेशी भावना के साथ एक वैज्ञानिक भावना का प्रसार किया है।

9.     The Nation is celebrating Vijay Diwas on 16th December to commemorate India's victory over Pakistan in 1971 Bangladesh Liberation war. On this day, the sacrifice of war heroes is remembered and rich tributes are being paid to them. On 16th December 1971, the chief of the Pakistani forces, General Amir Abdullah Khan Niazi, along with 93 thousand troops, surrendered unconditionally to the allied forces led by Lieutenant General Jagjit Singh Aurora, in Dhaka after their defeat.

Ø 1971 के बांग्लादेश मुक्ति संग्राम में पाकिस्तान पर भारत की जीत के उपलक्ष्य में राष्ट्र 16 दिसंबर को विजय दिवस मना रहा है। इस दिन युद्ध नायकों के बलिदान को याद किया जाता है और उन्हें भावभीनी श्रद्धांजलि दी जाती है। 16 दिसंबर 1971 को, पाकिस्तानी सेना के प्रमुख, जनरल अमीर अब्दुल्ला खान नियाज़ी ने 93 हजार सैनिकों के साथ, ढाका में लेफ्टिनेंट जनरल जगजीत सिंह अरोड़ा के नेतृत्व वाली सहयोगी सेना के समक्ष हार के बाद बिना शर्त आत्मसमर्पण कर दिया था।

10.  The 7th Edition of the India Water Impact Summit is underway in the National Capital. In the three-day Summit, experts from the country and abroad are discussing ways to protect the small rivers in large river basins. The theme of the Summit is ‘Restoration and Conservation of Small Rivers in a Large Basin’ with emphasis on the select aspects of ‘Mapping and Convergence of 5Ps’ - People, Policy, Plan, Programme, and Project. The Summit aims at giving an insight into the potential causes for divergence and formulating strategy to achieve convergence.

Ø भारत जल प्रभाव शिखर सम्मेलन का 7वां संस्करण राष्ट्रीय राजधानी दिल्ली में चल रहा है। तीन दिवसीय शिखर सम्मलेन में देश-विदेश के विशेषज्ञ बड़ी नदी घाटियों में छोटी नदियों को बचाने के तरीकों पर चर्चा कर रहे हैं। इस शिखर सम्मेलन का विषय '5Ps का मानचित्रण और अभिसरण' के चयनित आयामों - लोग, नीति, योजना, कार्यक्रम और परियोजना पर जोर देने के साथ 'एक बड़े बेसिन में छोटी नदियों की पुनर्स्थापन और संरक्षण' है। इस शिखर सम्मेलन का उद्देश्य विचलन के संभावित कारणों की जानकारी देना और अभिसरण प्राप्त करने के लिए रणनीति तैयार करना है।
