1.     BVR Subrahmanyam (lAS) has been appointed as the new Chairman & Managing Director of the India Trade Promotion Organization (ITPO). He will be replacing LC Goyal. The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet approved the appointment of Subrahmanyam on September 15. A 1987 batch Indian Administrative Services officer of Chhattisgarh cadre, he is currently working as the Secretary, Department of Commerce, Ministry of Commerce and Industry. Senior IAS Subrahmanyam has been appointed to the post on a contractual basis for two years.

Ø बीवीआर सुब्रह्मण्यम (एलएएस) को भारत व्यापार संवर्धन संगठन (आईटीपीओ) के नए अध्यक्ष और प्रबंध निदेशक के रूप में नियुक्त किया गया है। वह एलसी गोयल का स्थान लेंगे। मंत्रिमंडल की नियुक्ति समिति ने 15 सितंबर को सुब्रह्मण्यम की नियुक्ति को स्वीकृति दी है। सुब्रह्मण्यम, छत्तीसगढ़ कैडर के 1987 बैच के भारतीय प्रशासनिक सेवा के अधिकारी हैं,और वर्तमान में वाणिज्य और उद्योग मंत्रालय के वाणिज्य विभाग के सचिव के रूप में कार्यरत हैं। वरिष्ठ आईएएस सुब्रह्मण्यम को दो वर्ष के लिए अनुबंध के आधार पर इस पद पर नियुक्त किया गया है।

2.     The Sikkim government hiked the minimum wage for unskilled workers by 67 per cent to Rs 500. The daily wage for semi-skilled workers was increased to Rs 520 from Rs 320, while skilled workers will get Rs 535 instead of Rs 335 earlier.

Ø सिक्किम सरकार ने अकुशल श्रमिकों के लिए न्यूनतम वेतन 67 प्रतिशत 300 रुपये से बढ़ाकर 500 रुपये कर दिया है। इसके साथ ही अर्ध-कुशल श्रमिकों के लिए दैनिक वेतन 320 रुपये से बढ़ाकर 520 रुपये, और कुशल श्रमिकों को 335 रुपये के स्थान पर 535 रुपये मिलेंगे।

3.     Axis Bank and Square Yards, an integrated real estate platform on Monday announced the launch of ‘Open Doors’, a co-branded home buyer ecosystem, which offers one-stop solution from searching to buying a home. According to the companies, Open Doors is a first-of-its-kind unified platform, designed to address the entire gamut of customer queries related to residential property.

4.     In football, India clinched the SAFF under-17 Championship title, defeating Nepal 4-0 in the final in Colombo yesterday evening, September 14. In the group league, Nepal defeated India 3-1. However, in the final, India produced a clinical performance, to lift the title for the fourth time.

5.     Canara HSBC Life Insurance has launched iSelect Guaranteed Future, an individual, non-linked, non-participating, savings and protection life insurance plan over company’s digital platform. The product is specifically targeted at new-age customers who are internet savvy and prefer digital platform.

6.     The city of Varanasi has been nominated as the first-ever SCO Tourism and Cultural Capital during the period 2022-2023 at the 22nd Meeting of Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Council of Heads of State in Samarkand, Uzbekistan on September 16, 2022. Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi had participated in the Summit.

7.     Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has launched the National Logistics Policy (NLP). The need for a national logistics policy was felt since the logistics cost in India is high as compared to other developed economies. It is imperative to reduce the logistics cost in India for improving the competitiveness of Indian goods both in domestic as well as export markets. Reduced logistics cost improves efficiency cutting across various sectors of the economy, encouraging value addition and enterprise.

Ø प्रधानमंत्री श्री नरेन्द्र मोदी राष्ट्रीय लॉजिस्टिक्स नीति (एनएलपी) का शुभारंभ किया है। राष्ट्रीय लॉजिस्टिक्स नीति की आवश्यकता इसलिए महसूस की गई, क्योंकि भारत में अन्य विकसित अर्थव्यवस्थाओं की तुलना में लॉजिस्टिक्स की लागत अधिक है। घरेलू और निर्यात; दोनों ही बाजारों में भारतीय वस्तुओं की प्रतिस्पर्धा में सुधार के लिए भारत में लॉजिस्टिक्स लागत को कम करना अनिवार्य है। लॉजिस्टिक्स की कम लागत अर्थव्यवस्था के विभिन्न क्षेत्रों में दक्षता में सुधार करती है एवं मूल्यवर्धन और उद्यम को प्रोत्साहित करती है।

8.     Former President of India Shri Ram Nath Kovind today launched the book ‘Ambedkar and Modi: Reformer's Ideas Performer's Implementation'. Ambedkar & Modi serves as a vital addition to the continuous research on Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar’s thoughts and works and will be an important contribution to the policy landscape of the country.

Ø पूर्व राष्ट्रपति श्री रामनाथ कोविंद ने ‘अम्बेडकर एंड मोदी: रिफॉर्मर्स आइडियाज परफॉर्मर्स इम्प्लीमेंटेशन’ पुस्तक का विमोचन किया। यह पुस्तक डॉ. बाबासाहेब अम्बेडकर के विचारों और कार्यों पर किए जाने वाले निरंतर शोध में एक महत्वपूर्ण संकलन का काम करती है और ये देश के नीतिगत परिदृश्य में भी एक महत्वपूर्ण योगदान के रूप में सिद्ध होगी।

9.     Keeping in view  the observations made by the Hon’ble Supreme Court for coordinated working of NCPCR and SCPCRs and Section 13(2) of CPCR Act, 2005, NCPCR will be providing access to all SCPCRs on the “E-Baal Nidan” portal. , NCPCR will be providing user IDs and Passwords to the State Commissions to enable them to view the complaints registered on the portal to take necessary action. Further, the portal will have an option of transferring the registered complaints from NCPCR to the concerned State Commission.

Ø राष्ट्रीय बाल अधिकार संरक्षण आयोग (एनसीपीसीआर) और राज्य बाल अधिकार संरक्षण आयोग (एससीपीसीआर) के समन्वित कामकाज और बाल अधिकार संरक्षण आयोग (सीपीसीआर) अधिनियम, 2005 की धारा 13(2) के लिए माननीय सर्वोच्च न्यायालय द्वारा की गई टिप्पणियों को ध्यान में रखते हुए, एनसीपीसीआर "ई-बाल निदान" पोर्टल पर सभी एससीपीसीआर तक पहुंच प्रदान करेगा। एनसीपीसीआर राज्य आयोगों को यूजर आईडी और पासवर्ड उपलब्ध कराएगा, जिससे कि वे पोर्टल पर दर्ज शिकायतों को देख सकें और आवश्यक कार्रवाई कर सकें। इसके अतिरिक्त, पोर्टल के पास एनसीपीसीआर से पंजीकृत शिकायतों को संबंधित राज्य आयोग को स्थानांतरित करने का विकल्प होगा, यदि राज्य आयोग पहले ही मामले का संज्ञान ले चुका है।

10.The Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park (PNHZP) in West Bengal's Darjeeling has been adjudged the best zoo in the country, while Kolkata's Alipore Zoological Garden has secured the fourth position. A zoo directors' conference was held in Bhubaneswar on September 10 and the Central Zoo Authority released the ranking list in the Odisha capital. There are around 150 zoos across the country. As per the list, the Arignar Anna Zoological Park in Chennai has secured the second position, followed by the Sri Chamarajendra Zoological Gardens in Mysore, Karnataka.
