1.In a significant development and recognition to the country’s efforts in improving access to modern family planning methods, India is the only country to have received the Leadership in Family Planning (EXCELL) Awards-2022 in the 'country category' at the International Conference on Family Planning held in Pattaya city, Thailand. The International Conference on Family Planning (ICFP) has served as a strategic inflection point for the global reproductive health community, providing a global stage for more than 120 countries worldwide, organizations, and individuals.

2.Recently, 21st World Congress of Accountants has been organised in Mumbai. The WCOA 2022 has been organised by the International Federation of Accountants. IFAC, founded in 1977, is the global organization for the accountancy profession dedicated to serving the public interest by strengthening the profession and contributing to the development of strong international economies. IFAC is comprised of 180 members and associates in 135 countries and jurisdictions, representing more than 3 million accountants in public practice, education, government service, industry, and commerce.

3.   Vikram-S, India’s first privately-developed rocket, lifted off precisely at 11.30 AM on November 18, 2022 from Indian Space Research Organisation’s (ISRO) launchpad in Sriharikota. Developed by Hyderabad-based startup Skyroot Aerospace Private Limited, the 6-metre tall vehicle hit a peak altitude of 89.5 kilometers and then splashed into the Bay of Bengal about five minutes after the launch. This mission was titled Prarambh.

Ø भारत के पहले निजी तौर पर विकसित रॉकेट विक्रम-एस ने 18 नवंबर, 2022 को श्रीहरिकोटा में भारतीय अंतरिक्ष अनुसंधान संगठन (इसरो) के लॉन्चपैड से ठीक 11.30 बजे प्रक्षेपित किया है। हैदराबाद स्थित स्टार्टअप स्काईरूट एयरोस्पेस प्राइवेट लिमिटेड द्वारा विकसित, 6 मीटर लंबे वाहन ने 89.5 किलोमीटर की ऊंचाई तय की और लॉन्च के लगभग पांच मिनट बाद बंगाल की खाड़ी में गिर गया। इस मिशन का नाम 'प्रारंभ' था।

4.The UN General Assembly has adopted a resolution to designate November 18 every year as the World Day for the prevention of and healing from child sexual exploitation, abuse and violence. It encourages commitments to raising public awareness of those affected by child sexual abuse and the need to prevent and eliminate child sexual exploitation, abuse and violence, and the imperative to hold perpetrators to account.

Ø संयुक्त राष्ट्र महासभा ने बाल यौन शोषण, दुर्व्यवहार और हिंसा की रोकथाम और उपचार के लिए प्रत्येक वर्ष 18 नवंबर को विश्व दिवस के रूप में नामित करने का संकल्प लिया है। यह बाल यौन शोषण से प्रभावित लोगों के बारे में सार्वजनिक जागरूकता बढ़ाने और बाल यौन शोषण, दुर्व्यवहार और हिंसा को रोकने और समाप्त करने की आवश्यकता और अपराधियों को जिम्मेदार बताने की अनिवार्यता को प्रोत्साहित करता है।

5.The cultural and art extravaganza “International Gita Mahotsav (IGM)-2022” will be organized at Brahma Sarovar in Kurukshetra. The IGM will be inaugurated with a saras and craft fair on Saturday and over 230 craftsmen, including 48 national and state awardees from across the country, will showcase their art. Besides the craftsmen, around 250 traders will also set up their stalls at Brahma Sarovar.

Ø कुरुक्षेत्र के ब्रह्म सरोवर में सांस्कृतिक और कला महोत्सव "अंतर्राष्ट्रीय गीता महोत्सव (IGM) -2022" का आयोजन किया जा रहा है। आईजीएम का उद्घाटन 19 नवम्बर को सरस और शिल्प मेले के साथ होगा और देश भर के 48 राष्ट्रीय और राज्य पुरस्कार विजेताओं सहित 230 से अधिक शिल्पकार अपनी कला का प्रदर्शन करेंगे। शिल्पकारों के साथ-साथ करीब 250 व्यापारी भी ब्रह्म सरोवर पर अपने स्टॉल स्थापित करेंगे।

6.All Goods & Services Tax (GST) anti-profiteering complaints would be dealt with by the Competition Commission of India (CCI) from December 1 as the extended tenure of National Anti-profiteering Authority (NAA) ends this month. The NAA was set up in November 2017 under Section 171A of the GST law to check unfair profiteering activities by registered suppliers. The GST Council, in its 45th meeting in September last year, gave another one-year extension till November 30, 2022, to NAA and also decided to shift the work to CCI after that.

Ø राष्ट्रीय मुनाफाखोरी-रोधी प्राधिकरण (NAA) का विस्तारित कार्यकाल नवम्बर माह में समाप्त होने के कारण अब 1 दिसंबर से भारतीय प्रतिस्पर्धा आयोग (CCI) द्वारा सभी वस्तु एवं सेवा कर (GST) विरोधी मुनाफाखोरी शिकायतों से निपटा जाएगा। NAA की स्थापना नवंबर 2017 में GST कानून की धारा 171A के अंतर्गत पंजीकृत आपूर्तिकर्ताओं द्वारा अनुचित मुनाफाखोरी गतिविधियों की जांच के लिए की गई थी। जीएसटी परिषद ने पिछले वर्ष सितंबर में अपनी 45वीं बैठक में एनएए को 30 नवंबर, 2022 तक एक वर्ष का और विस्तार दिया और उसके बाद सीसीआई को कार्य सौंपने का भी निर्णय किया था।

7.World Toilet Day is celebrated on November 19 every year to raise awareness about people living without access to safely managed sanitation and initiate action to tackle the global sanitation crisis. The UN General Assembly declared World Toilet Day an official UN day in 2013 after Singapore had tabled the resolution. The theme of World Toilet Day 2022 is "Let’s make the invisible visible."

Ø विश्व शौचालय दिवस प्रत्येक वर्ष 19 नवंबर को सुरक्षित रूप से प्रबंधित स्वच्छता तक पहुंच के बिना रहने वाले लोगों के बारे में जागरूकता बढ़ाने और वैश्विक स्वच्छता संकट से निपटने के लिए कार्य प्रारम्भ करने के लिए मनाया जाता है। संयुक्त राष्ट्र महासभा ने 2013 में सिंगापुर द्वारा प्रस्ताव पेश किए जाने के बाद विश्व शौचालय दिवस को आधिकारिक संयुक्त राष्ट्र दिवस घोषित किया था। विश्व शौचालय दिवस 2022 की थीम "आइए अदृश्य को दृश्य बनाएं” है।

8.  INS Trikand participated in the Combined Maritime Forces (CMF) led Focused Operation "Sea Sword 2" in the Northwest Arabian Sea to counter terrorism, prevent narcotics trade and stop smuggling entities from using the seas for their nefarious activities. The Operation "Sea Sword 2" was held from November 6-14, 2022. Earlier, the 26th edition of the multinational maritime exercise "MALABAR 22" culminated in the seas off Japan on November 15. This edition also marked the 30th anniversary of the exercise.

Ø आईएनएस त्रिकांड ने आतंकवाद का मुकाबला करने, नशीले पदार्थों के व्यापार को रोकने और तस्करी करने वाली संस्थाओं को उनकी अनधिकृत गतिविधियों के लिए समुद्र का उपयोग करने से रोकने के लिए उत्तर पश्चिमी अरब सागर में संयुक्त समुद्री बल (सीएमएफ) के नेतृत्व वाले फोकस्ड ऑपरेशन "सी स्वॉर्ड 2" में भाग लिया है। ऑपरेशन "सी स्वॉर्ड 2" 6-14 नवंबर, 2022 तक आयोजित किया गया था। इससे पहले, बहुराष्ट्रीय समुद्री अभ्यास "मालाबार 22" के 26वें संस्करण का समापन 15 नवंबर को जापान के समुद्र में हुआ था। 

9.The 25th edition of Asia’s largest technology event, the Bengaluru Tech Summit 2022 (BTS 2022) will be virtually inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The silver jubilee edition of the tech event is being held with the theme ‘Tech4NexGen’. On this occasion, over 12 start-ups from Bengaluru that have emerged as unicorns in the last year will be recognised with the ‘Bengaluru Impact’ Award.

Ø एशिया के सबसे बड़े टेक्नोलॉजी इवेंट बेंगलुरु टेक समिट 2022 (बीटीएस 2022) का 25वां संस्करण का प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी द्वारा वर्चुअल माध्यम से उद्घाटन किया जाएगा । टेक इवेंट का सिल्वर जुबली संस्करण 'Tech4NexGen' थीम के साथ आयोजित किया जा रहा है। इस अवसर पर, बेंगलुरु के 12 से अधिक स्टार्ट-अप; जो पिछले वर्ष यूनिकॉर्न के रूप में उभरे हैं, उन्हें 'बेंगलुरु इम्पैक्ट' अवार्ड से सम्मानित किया जाएगा। स्टार्ट-अप पवेलियन में विविध क्षेत्रों के 330 प्रदर्शक होंगे।

10.Two weeks after the departure of former India head Ajit Mohan, Facebook-parent Meta has appointed Sandhya Devanathan as its new top executive for the country. In a statement, Meta said Devanathan will transition to her new role from 1 January 2023. Devanathan currently serves as vice-president of gaming for Meta’s Asia-Pacific (APAC) division.

Ø भारत के पूर्व प्रमुख अजीत मोहन के मेटा से पद-त्याग के दो सप्ताह बाद, फेसबुक-पैरेंट मेटा ने संध्या देवनाथन को भारत के लिए अपना नया शीर्ष कार्यकारी नियुक्त किया है। मेटा के अनुसार, देवनाथन 1 जनवरी 2023 से अपना पदभार ग्रहण करेंगी। देवनाथन वर्तमान में मेटा के एशिया-पैसिफिक (APAC) डिवीजन के लिए गेमिंग के उपाध्यक्ष के रूप में कार्य कर रही हैं।
