1.Civil Accounts Service officer Bharati Das took charge as the Controller General of Accounts (CGA) under the Department of Expenditure, the finance ministry said. A 1988-batch Indian Civil Accounts Service (ICAS) officer, Das has served as Principal Chief Controller of Accounts (Pr. CCA) Central Board of Direct Taxes and Ministries of External Affairs, Home Affairs. Das is the 27th CGA, who is 'the Principal Advisor' on accounting matters to the government of India. CGA is responsible for establishing and managing a technically sound management accounting system and preparation and submission of the accounts of the Union Government and internal audits.

Ø सिविल लेखा सेवा अधिकारी भारती दास ने  व्यय विभाग के अंतर्गत लेखा महानियंत्रक (सीजीए) के रूप में कार्यभार संभाला है। 1988 बैच की भारतीय सिविल लेखा सेवा (आईसीएएस) अधिकारी, दास ने प्रधान मुख्य लेखा नियंत्रक (प्र. सीसीए) केंद्रीय प्रत्यक्ष कर बोर्ड और विदेश मंत्रालय, गृह मंत्रालय के रूप में कार्य किया है। दास 27वें सीजीए हैं, जो भारत सरकार के लेखांकन मामलों पर प्रमुख सलाहकार हैं। सीजीए तकनीकी रूप से सुदृढ़ प्रबंधन लेखा प्रणाली की स्थापना एवं प्रबंधन, केंद्र सरकार के खातों को तैयार करने एवं प्रस्तुत करने और आंतरिक लेखा परीक्षा के लिए उत्तरदायी है।

2. Youth from 70 countries will participate in a Global Youth Climate Summit to be inaugurated on Thursday in Khulna, Bangladesh. The three-day summit between October 20-22 will bring together 650 youth in a hybrid format with 150 youth participating in person and 500 online. The mission of GYLC is to expand youth’s knowledge about climate science, equip them with leadership skills to take individual and collective action, and enable them to launch businesses that contribute to climate mitigation or adaptation.

Ø बांग्लादेश के खुलना में होने वाले ग्लोबल यूथ क्लाइमेट समिट में 70 देशों के युवा भाग लेंगे। 20-22 अक्टूबर के बीच होने वाला तीन दिवसीय शिखर सम्मेलन 650 युवाओं को एक हाइब्रिड प्रारूप में एक साथ लाएगा, जिसमें 150 युवा व्यक्तिगत रूप से भाग लेंगे और 500 ऑनलाइन माध्यम से सम्मिलित होंगे। ग्लोबल यूथ क्लाइमेट समिट का मिशन जलवायु विज्ञान के बारे में युवाओं के ज्ञान का विस्तार करना है, उन्हें व्यक्तिगत और सामूहिक कार्रवाई करने के लिए नेतृत्व कौशल से परिपूर्ण करना है, और उन्हें ऐसे व्यवसाय प्रारम्भ करने में सक्षम बनाना है जो जलवायु परिवर्तन से बचने या अनुकूलन में योगदान करते हैं।

3. Indian Embassy in Seoul, South Korea organized its much sought-after annual flagship cultural program ‘SARANG – The Festival of India in Republic of Korea’ which enthralled the South Korean art and music lovers with a fusion of Indian and Korean dance and music in a grand spectacle running over two weeks. After a two-year COVID hiatus, South Korean audiences enjoyed captivating performances by Indian and Korean musicians, dancers and artists at the 8th edition of the festival which was held from 30 Sept. – 14 Oct. 2022 at various locations across the country. Through this festival, the rich cultural diversity of India is showcased through various art forms including dance, drama, music, films and cuisine to the people of Korea to promote understanding and friendship among the peoples of the two countries.

Ø सियोल, दक्षिण कोरिया में भारतीय दूतावास ने अपने बहुप्रतीक्षित वार्षिक प्रमुख सांस्कृतिक कार्यक्रम 'सारंग - कोरिया गणराज्य में भारत का त्योहार' का आयोजन किया है, जिसने दक्षिण कोरियाई कला और संगीत प्रेमियों को भारतीय और कोरियाई नृत्य और संगीत के संयोजन से मंत्रमुग्ध कर दिया।  दो वर्ष के COVID अंतराल के बाद, दक्षिण कोरियाई दर्शकों ने देश भर के विभिन्न स्थानों पर 30 सितंबर से 14 अक्टूबर 2022 तक आयोजित होने वाले महोत्सव के 8वें संस्करण में भारतीय और कोरियाई संगीतकारों, नर्तकियों और कलाकारों द्वारा आकर्षक प्रदर्शन किया गया। इस त्योहार के माध्यम से, दोनों देशों के लोगों के बीच समझ और दोस्ती को बढ़ावा देने के लिए कोरिया के लोगों को नृत्य, नाटक, संगीत, फिल्मों और व्यंजनों सहित विभिन्न कला रूपों के माध्यम से भारत की समृद्ध सांस्कृतिक विविधता का प्रदर्शन किया जाता है।

4. The Madhya Pradesh government has started an ambitious project wherein now medical students can opt for studying MBBS in Hindi, instead of English, as is the norm for the rest of the country. On Sunday, at an event in state capital Bhopal, Union Home Minister Amit Shah launched the Hindi version of three subjects. The Hindi version of medical biochemistry, anatomy and medical physiology subject textbooks were released by Amit Shah.

Ø मध्य प्रदेश सरकार ने एक महत्वाकांक्षी परियोजना प्रारम्भ की है, जिसके अंतर्गत अब मेडिकल छात्र अंग्रेजी के स्थान पर हिंदी में एमबीबीएस की पढ़ाई का विकल्प चुन सकते हैं, जैसा कि देश के बाकी हिस्सों में होता है। मध्य प्रदेश राज्य की राजधानी भोपाल मेंबी आयोजित एक कार्यक्रम में केंद्रीय गृह मंत्री अमित शाह ने तीन विषयों के हिंदी संस्करण का लोकार्पण किया है। अमित शाह द्वारा मेडिकल बायोकेमिस्ट्री, एनाटॉमी और मेडिकल फिजियोलॉजी विषय की पाठ्यपुस्तकों का हिंदी संस्करण जारी किया गया।

5. Adani Airport Holdings has again rejigged its top management, naming Ericsson veteran Arun Bansal its chief executive.  Bansal, who spent 25 years at the Swedish telecom network company, was most recently its president for Europe and Latin America.

6. The Fifth Assembly of the International Solar Alliance was inaugurated today by Shri Raj Kumar Singh, Minister of Power and New & Renewable Energy.  Republic of India holds the office of the President of the ISA Assembly, with the Government of France as Co-President. Ministers from 20 countries and delegates from across 110 Member and Signatory countries and 18 prospective countries joined the inaugural ceremony of the 5th ISA Assembly. The International Solar Alliance is an international organisation with 110 Member and Signatory countries. It works with governments to improve energy access and security worldwide and promote solar power as a sustainable way to transition to a carbon-neutral future.

Ø अंतर्राष्ट्रीय सौर गठबंधन की पांचवीं विधानसभा का उद्घाटन श्री राज कुमार सिंह, ऊर्जा और नवीन और नवीकरणीय ऊर्जा मंत्री ने किया है। भारत गणराज्य आईएसए असेम्बली के अध्यक्ष का पद धारण करता है और फ्रांस सरकार इसके सह-अध्यक्ष के रूप में कार्य कर रही है। 5वीं आईएसए असेंबली के उद्घाटन समारोह में 20 देशों के मंत्री और 110 सदस्य और हस्ताक्षरकर्ता देशों और 18 संभावित देशों के प्रतिनिधि शामिल हुए हैं। अंतर्राष्ट्रीय सौर गठबंधन 110 सदस्य और हस्ताक्षरकर्ता देशों के साथ एक अंतरराष्ट्रीय संगठन है। यह विश्व भर में ऊर्जा पहुंच और सुरक्षा में सुधार के लिए सरकारों के साथ काम करता है और कार्बन-तटस्थ भविष्य में संक्रमण के लिए एक स्थायी तरीके के रूप में सौर ऊर्जा को प्रोत्साहन देता है।

7. A partial eclipse of the Sun will occur on October 25, 2022 (3 Kartika, 1944 Saka Era). In India the eclipse will begin before sunset in the afternoon and will be seen from most of the places. The ending of the eclipse will not be visible from India as the same will be in progress after sunset. The eclipse is visible in the region covering Europe, the Middle East, north-eastern parts of Africa, western Asia, the North Atlantic Ocean and the North Indian Ocean. The next solar eclipse will be visible from India on August 2, 2027. It will be a total solar eclipse. A solar eclipse occurs on a new moon day when the Moon comes in between the Earth and the Sun and when all the three objects are aligned. A partial solar eclipse will occur when the lunar disk covers the solar disk partially.

Ø 25 अक्टूबर 2022 (3 कार्तिक, शक संवत 1944) को आंशिक सूर्य ग्रहण घटित होगा। भारत में सूर्यास्त के पहले अपराह्न में ग्रहण आरम्भ होगा तथा इसे अधिकांश स्थानों से देखा जा सकेगा। इस ग्रहण का अंत भारत में दिखाई नहीं देगा, क्योंकि वह सूर्यास्त के उपरांत भी जारी रहेगा। यह ग्रहण यूरोप, मध्य पूर्व, अफ्रीका के उत्तर-पूर्वी हिस्सों, पश्चमी एशिया, उत्तर अटलांटिक महासागर तथा उत्तर हिंद महासागर के क्षेत्रों में दिखाई देगा। भारत में अगला सूर्य ग्रहण 2 अगस्त 2027 को दिखाई देगा, जो पूर्ण सूर्य ग्रहण होगा। देश के सभी हिस्सों से वह आंशिक सूर्य ग्रहण के रूप में परिलक्षित होगा। अमावस्या को सूर्य ग्रहण तब घटित होता है जब चंद्रमा पृथ्वी और सूर्य के बीच आ जाता है तथा वे तीनों एक सीध में आ जाते हैं। आंशिक सूर्य ग्रहण तब घटित होता है जब चन्द्र चक्रिका, सूर्य चक्रिका को आंशिक रूप से ही ढक पाती है।

8. Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi will inaugurate ‘Indian Urban Housing Conclave-2022’ (IUHC2022) a three-day event being organised by Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA), Government of India from 19-21 October 2022 at Rajkot, Gujarat. Apart from PMAY-U, other Urban Missions viz. Swachh Bharat Mission, Atal Mission for Rejuvenation and Urban Transformation (AMRUT), Smart Cities Mission, Urban Transport, Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana National Urban Livelihoods Mission (NULM), SVANidhi etc. being implemented by MoHUA will participate in the event. ‘Indian Urban Housing Conclave’ will provide a platform to all stakeholders to demonstrate their technologies as well as deliberate upon various options of technologies, materials and processes for large scale adoption and mainstreaming in different type of housing construction suitable for different Geo-climatic regions of the country.  It will create enabling eco-system for further adoption by Public/Private Agencies, R&D and Technical Institutions, Construction Agencies, Developers, Contractors, Start-ups and other stakeholders.

Ø प्रधानमंत्री श्री नरेन्द्र मोदी 19-21 अक्टूबर 2022 तक आयोजित होने वाले राजकोट, गुजरात में भारत सरकार के आवासन और शहरी कार्य मंत्रालय द्वारा आयोजित तीन-दिवसीय कार्यक्रम 'इंडियन अर्बन हाउसिंग कॉन्क्लेव-2022' (आईयूएचसी-2022) का उद्घाटन करेंगे। आवासन एवं शहरी कार्य मंत्रालय द्वारा कार्यान्वित प्रधानमंत्री आवास योजना - शहरी के अलावा, स्वच्छ भारत मिशन, कायाकल्प और शहरी परिवर्तन के लिए अटल मिशन (अमृत), स्मार्ट सिटी मिशन, शहरी परिवहन, दीनदयाल अंत्योदय योजना, राष्ट्रीय शहरी आजीविका मिशन, स्वनिधि आदि जैसे अन्य शहरी मिशन इस आयोजन में भाग लेंगे। 'इंडियन अर्बन हाउसिंग कॉन्क्लेव' सभी हितधारकों को अपनी प्रौद्योगिकियों का प्रदर्शन करने के साथ-साथ देश के विभिन्न भू-जलवायु क्षेत्रों के लिए उपयुक्त अनेक प्रकार के आवास निर्माण में बड़े पैमाने पर इन्हें अपनाने और मुख्यधारा के लिए प्रौद्योगिकियों, सामग्रियों और प्रक्रियाओं के विभिन्न विकल्पों पर विचार-विमर्श करने के लिए एक मंच प्रदान करेगा। यह सार्वजनिक/निजी एजेंसियों, अनुसंधान एवं विकास और तकनीकी संस्थानों, निर्माण एजेंसियों, डेवलपर, ठेकेदारों, स्टार्ट-अप और अन्य हितधारकों द्वारा भविष्य में अपनाने के लिए सक्षम इको-सिस्टम तैयार करेगा।

9. Ministry of Tourism in co-ordination with Ministry of Home Affairs and Bureau of Police Research and Development (BPR&D) is organizing National Conference of Director Generals/ Inspector Generals (DGs/IGs) of Police Department of all States/UTs in connection with implementation of Uniform Tourist Police Scheme, on 19th October, 2022 at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi. Agenda of the National Conference of DGs/IGs of Police department of all States/UTs is implementation of uniform Tourist Police Scheme at pan India level for developing the tourist specific policing with suitable roles and responsibility and training aspects, to provide safer ecosystem to the foreign and domestic tourists in and around tourist destinations, as safety and security and the first & foremost priority of any tourist. Objective of the National Conference on Tourist Police Scheme is to bring Ministry of Tourism, Ministry of Home Affairs, Bureau of Police Research & Development and State Govts/ UT Administration on the same platform.

Ø गृह मंत्रालय और पुलिस अनुसंधान और विकास ब्यूरो (बीपीआरएंडडी) के समन्वय में पर्यटन मंत्रालय 19 अक्टूबर, 2022 को विज्ञान भवन, नई दिल्ली में एक समान पर्यटक पुलिस योजना के कार्यान्वयन  के लिए सभी राज्यों/केंद्र शासित  प्रदेशों के पुलिस विभाग के महानिदेशकों/ महानिरीक्षकों (डीजी/आईजी) के राष्ट्रीय सम्मेलन का आयोजन कर रहा है।  सभी राज्यों/ संघ शासित प्रदेशों के पुलिस विभाग के महानिदेशकों/ महानिरीक्षकों के राष्ट्रीय सम्मेलन का एजेंडा घरेलू एवं विदेशी लोगों को पर्यटन स्थलों  में और आसपास सुरक्षित  इकोसिस्टम  प्रदान करने के लिए अखिल भारतीय  स्तर पर एक समान पर्यटक पुलिस योजना का कार्यान्वयन  है, क्योंकि  किसी भी पर्यटक की पहली और सबसे महत्वपूर्ण प्राथमिकता  संरक्षा व सुरक्षा होती है।  राष्ट्रीय पर्यटक पुलिस योजना सम्मेलन का उद्देश्य पर्यटन मंत्रालय, गृह मंत्रालय, पुलिस अनुसंधान एवं विकास  ब्यूरो और राज्य सरकारों/ संघ शासित  प्रदेशों के प्रशासन को एक मंच पर लाना है।

10. Union Minister of State Ministry of Science and Technology; Dr Jitendra Singh today launched Single Integrated Pensioners' Portal developed in collaboration with State Bank of India and aimed at “Ease of Living” for the Central Government Pensioners. All the remaining 16 Pension disbursing banks shall now begin their integration with BHAVISHYA. BHAVISHYA, a Portal for Pension Payment and Tracking System,said the Minister, is being integrated with Pension Seva portal of SBI and will enable Pensioners to get all information and services at one place with single login.

Ø केंद्रीय राज्य मंत्री, विज्ञान और प्रौद्योगिकी मंत्रालय; डॉ जितेंद्र सिंह ने भारतीय स्टेट बैंक के सहयोग से विकसित एकल एकीकृत पेंशनभोगी पोर्टल का शुभारंभ किया है। इसका उद्देश्य केंद्र सरकार के पेंशनभोगियों के लिए "जीवन की सुगमता" प्रदान करना है। शेष सभी 16 पेंशन संवितरण बैंक अब BHAVISHYA के साथ अपना एकीकरण प्रारम्भ करेंगे। पेंशन भुगतान और ट्रैकिंग प्रणाली के लिए निर्धारित एक पोर्टल, भविष्य को एसबीआई के पेंशन सेवा पोर्टल के साथ एकीकृत किया गया है और यह पोर्टल पेंशनभोगियों को एक ही लॉगिन के साथ एक ही स्थान पर सभी जानकारी और सेवाएं प्राप्त करने में सक्षम बनाएगा।
