1.The Central Consumer Protection Authority (CCPA) has sent notices to e-commerce players Flipkart and meesho.com for gross violations of norms relating to the sale of acid on their platforms. It has asked two e-commerce entities to furnish detailed responses within 7 days. Any non-compliance by these e-commerce entities with the directions of CCPA’s notices will be strictly dealt with as per the provisions of the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.

Ø सेंट्रल कंज्यूमर प्रोटेक्शन अथॉरिटी (CCPA) ने ई-कॉमर्स विक्रेता Flipkart और meesho.com को उनके प्लेटफॉर्म पर एसिड की बिक्री से संबंधित नियमों के उल्लंघन के लिए नोटिस भेजा है। अथॉरिटी ने दो ई-कॉमर्स संस्थाओं को 7 दिनों के भीतर विस्तृत प्रतिक्रिया प्रस्तुत करने को कहा है। इन ई-कॉमर्स संस्थाओं द्वारा CCPA के नोटिस के निर्देशों का पालन न करने पर उपभोक्ता संरक्षण अधिनियम, 2019 के प्रावधानों के अनुसार कठोरता  से अनुशासित किया जाएगा।

2.National Mathematics Day is celebrated every year on December 22 to mark the birth anniversary of legendary mathematician, Srinivasa Ramanujan. He was born in 1887 in Erode, Tamil Nadu in a humble Iyengar Brahmin family.  In 2012, former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh declared December 22 as National Mathematics Day and the year (2012) was celebrated as the National Mathematics Year. The 2012 India stamp also featured Srinivasa Ramanujan. On this day in 2017, the Ramanujan Math Park was opened in Kuppam, in Chittoor, Andhra Pradesh.

Ø महान गणितज्ञ श्रीनिवास रामानुजन की जयंती के अवसर पर प्रत्येक वर्ष 22 दिसंबर को राष्ट्रीय गणित दिवस मनाया जाता है। उनका जन्म 1887 में तमिलनाडु के इरोड में एक अयंगर ब्राह्मण परिवार में हुआ था। 2012 में, पूर्व प्रधान मंत्री मनमोहन सिंह ने 22 दिसंबर को राष्ट्रीय गणित दिवस के रूप में घोषित किया था और वर्ष (2012) को राष्ट्रीय गणित वर्ष के रूप में मनाया गया था। वर्ष 2012 के भारत के डाक टिकट में श्रीनिवास रामानुजन को भी चित्रित किया गया था। इस दिन 2017 में, आंध्र प्रदेश के चित्तूर में कुप्पम में रामानुजन मठ पार्क खोला गया था।

3.Stock brokerage firm HDFC Securities has launched Roots, a dedicated platform providing comprehensive investor education and market analysis. The site offers multiple forms of valuable information, including articles, bite-sized tips, podcasts by experts, video tutorials and explainers, and live social media feed on the Indian financial markets.

Ø स्टॉक ब्रोकरेज फर्म एचडीएफसी सिक्योरिटीज ने ‘रूट्स’ नामक एक मंच लॉन्च किया है, जो व्यापक निवेशक शिक्षा और बाजार विश्लेषण प्रदान करने वाला एक समर्पित मंच है। यह साइट मूल्यवान जानकारी के कई रूपों की प्रस्तुत करती है, जिसमें लेख, कम समयावधि की युक्तियां/सलाह, विशेषज्ञों द्वारा पॉडकास्ट, वीडियो ट्यूटोरियल और व्याख्याकार, और भारतीय वित्तीय बाजारों पर लाइव सोशल मीडिया फीड शामिल हैं।

4. A first-of-its-kind Tribal Winter Festival was held in the Bandipora district of Jammu and Kashmir. Organised by the district administration in collaboration with various departments at Ketson, the festival witnessed huge public participation. People from the Kashmiri community, Gujjars and Bakerwals danced together to the beats of dhol (drum) in a unique portrayal of cultural unity in diversity. The 'gatka' was another attraction performed by two tribal communities portraying the fighting spirit of the Gujjars amid all geographic, social and political odds.

Ø जम्मू-कश्मीर के बांदीपोरा जिले में अपनी तरह का पहला जनजातीय शीतकालीन महोत्सव आयोजित किया गया है। जिला प्रशासन द्वारा केटसॉन में विभिन्न विभागों के सहयोग से आयोजित इस महोत्सव में भारी जन भागीदारी देखी गई। कश्मीरी समुदाय के लोग, गुर्जर और बकरवाल ने विविधता में सांस्कृतिक एकता के अनूठे चित्रण में ढोल (ढोल) की थाप पर एक साथ नृत्य किया। सभी भौगोलिक, सामाजिक और राजनीतिक बाधाओं के बीच गुर्जरों के युद्ध की भावना को चित्रित करने वाले दो आदिवासी समुदायों द्वारा किया गया 'गतका' एक प्रमुख आकर्षण था।

5. IDFC FIRST Bank on 17 December announced ZERO Fee Banking on savings accounts and waived fees on 25 commonly used banking services. The banking services include savings accounts such as cash deposit and withdrawal at branches, third party cash transactions, demand drafts, IMPS, NEFT, RTGS, cheque book, SMS alerts, interest certificates, insufficient balance for ATM transactions, international ATM usage and so on. The bank has announced the facility on the occasion of its Foundation Day on 18 December.

Ø आईडीएफसी फर्स्ट बैंक ने 17 दिसंबर को बचत खातों पर शून्य शुल्क बैंकिंग की घोषणा की है और सामान्यतः उपयोग की जाने वाली 25 बैंकिंग सेवाओं पर शुल्क माफ कर दिया। बैंकिंग सेवाओं में शाखाओं में नकद जमा और निकासी, तीसरे पक्ष के नकद लेनदेन, डिमांड ड्राफ्ट, आईएमपीएस, एनईएफटी, आरटीजीएस, चेक बुक, एसएमएस अलर्ट, ब्याज प्रमाण पत्र, एटीएम लेनदेन के लिए अपर्याप्त शेष राशि, अंतरराष्ट्रीय एटीएम उपयोग आदि जैसे बचत खाते शामिल हैं। बैंक ने 18 दिसंबर को अपने स्थापना दिवस के अवसर पर इस सुविधा की घोषणा की है।

6.  Steel Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia launched India's first Green Steel Brand - KALYANI FeRRESTA in New Delhi. This first-of-its-kind steel has been manufactured by a Pune-based Steel company, Kalyani group by using renewable energy resources, leaving zero carbon footprints in the environment. The Government has been promoting green steel manufacturing and has put in place a National Steel Policy to achieve zero carbon emissions by the industry.

Ø इस्पात मंत्री ज्योतिरादित्य सिंधिया ने नई दिल्ली में भारत का पहला ग्रीन स्टील ब्रांड - कल्याणी फेरेस्टा लॉन्च किया है। अपनी तरह के इस पहले स्टील का निर्माण पुणे स्थित स्टील कंपनी, कल्याणी समूह द्वारा नवीकरणीय ऊर्जा संसाधनों का उपयोग करके किया गया है, जिससे पर्यावरण में शून्य कार्बन फुटप्रिंट्स मुक्त हुए हैं। सरकार हरित इस्पात निर्माण को प्रोत्साहन दे रही है और उद्योग द्वारा शून्य कार्बन उत्सर्जन प्राप्त करने के लिए राष्ट्रीय इस्पात नीति लागू की गई है।

7.The UAE has been selected to host global trade development talks in February 2024. President Sheikh Mohamed made the announcement that representatives from 164 countries in the World Trade Organisation will convene in the nation's capital. The last time the conference was held in the Gulf was in 2001 in Doha, which resulted in China being approved as the 143rd member. The WTO's 12th Ministerial Conference was held in Geneva, Switzerland, from June 12 to June 17. It was originally meant to be held in Kazakhstan in 2020, but was postponed due to the pandemic. The inaugural Ministerial Conference was held in Singapore in 1996.

Ø यूएई को फरवरी 2024 में वैश्विक व्यापार विकास वार्ता की मेजबानी के लिए चुना गया है। राष्ट्रपति शेख मोहम्मद ने घोषणा की है कि विश्व व्यापार संगठन के 164 देशों के प्रतिनिधि देश की राजधानी में बैठक करेंगे। पिछली बार खाड़ी में सम्मेलन 2001 में दोहा में आयोजित किया गया था, जिसके परिणामस्वरूप चीन को 143वें सदस्य के रूप में अनुमोदित किया गया था। डब्ल्यूटीओ का 12वां मंत्रिस्तरीय सम्मेलन 12 जून से 17 जून तक जिनेवा, स्विट्जरलैंड में आयोजित किया गया था। मूल रूप से इसे 2020 में कजाकिस्तान में आयोजित किया जाना था, लेकिन कोविड महामारी के कारण इसे स्थगित कर दिया गया था। इसका उद्घाटन मंत्रिस्तरीय सम्मेलन 1996 में सिंगापुर में आयोजित किया गया था।

8.Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA) has kickstarted the ground survey of Pey Jal Survekshan  from 15th December 2022.  The Pey Jal Survekshan under Atal Mission for Rejuvenation and Urban Transformation (AMRUT) 2.0 was launched by Minister of Housing and Urban Affairs, Shri Hardeep Singh Puri, on 09th September, 2022 to assess the service level compliance of the city with respect to quality, quantity, and coverage of water supply, sewerage and septage management, extent of reuse & recycle of used water and conservation of water bodies in 500 (485 after merger) AMRUT cities. The Survey will serve as a monitoring tool and an accelerator for the AMRUT Mission while also fostering healthy competition among cities.

Ø आवासन और शहरी कार्य मंत्रालय ने 15 दिसंबर, 2022 से पेयजल सर्वेक्षण की शुरूआत की है। आवासन और शहरी कार्य मंत्री श्री हरदीप सिंह पुरी ने 9 सितंबर, 2022 को अटल नवीकरण और शहरी परिवर्तन मिशन (अमृत) 2.0 के अंतर्गत पेयजल सर्वेक्षण का शुभारंभ किया था, जिससे कि 500 (विलय के बाद 485) अमृत शहरों में जलस्रोतों के संरक्षण तथा उपयोग हो चुके पानी को पुनः उपयोग करने व उसे री-साइकिल करने, सीवर और गंदे पानी के प्रबंधन, जलापूर्ति के सीमा-क्षेत्र तथा पानी की गुणवत्ता व मात्रा के बारे में प्रदान की जाने वाली सेवाओं का मूल्यांकन किया जा सके। यह शहरों के बीच स्वस्थ प्रतिस्पर्धा को प्रोत्साहन देते हुये अमृत मिशन के लिये निगरानी प्रारूप तथा उत्प्रेरक के रूप में सहायक होगा।

9.  Jammu and Kashmir Lt Governor Manoj Sinha today announced three New Schemes- Holistic Development of Agriculture & Allied Sectors, Aspirational Towns, and Aspirational Panchayat for J&K Union Territory. These Projects have been approved by the Administrative Council, chaired by the Lt Governor. The projects which have now been approved by the administrative council, have an outlay of 5013 crore rupees. Over the next five years, these projects would transform the agriculture economy of J&K putting it on a new trajectory of growth with doubling the output of the sectors and making them sustainable and commercially viable.

Ø जम्मू और कश्मीर के उपराज्यपाल मनोज सिन्हा ने तीन नई योजनाओं - कृषि और संबद्ध क्षेत्रों का समग्र विकास, आकांक्षी शहर और जम्मू-कश्मीर केंद्र शासित प्रदेश के लिए महत्वाकांक्षी पंचायत, की घोषणा की है। इन परियोजनाओं को उपराज्यपाल की अध्यक्षता वाली प्रशासनिक परिषद द्वारा अनुमोदित किया गया है। जिन परियोजनाओं को अब प्रशासनिक परिषद ने स्वीकृति दे दी है, उनका परिव्यय 5013 करोड़ रुपये है। अगले पांच वर्षों में, ये परियोजनाएं जम्मू-कश्मीर की कृषि अर्थव्यवस्था को क्षेत्रों के उत्पादन को दोगुना करने और उन्हें सतत और व्यावसायिक रूप से व्यवहार्य बनाने के साथ विकास का मार्ग प्रशस्त करेंगी।

10.SS Rajamouli's film RRR features in the global list of Top 50 films of 2022 curated by Sight and Sound magazine. The list also includes Shaunak Sen's acclaimed documentary All that Breathes. RRR was placed in the 9th spot.  Rajamouli's magnum opus follows a pre-Independence story set in the 1920s that revolves around two real-life Indian revolutionaries - Alluri Sitarama Raju and Komaram Bheem.
