1.UK Prime Minister Liz Truss resigned from the post just six weeks after her appointment.  Ms Truss becomes the shortest-serving prime minister in British history, just for 45 days. George Canning previously held the record, serving 119 days in 1827 when he died.

Ø यूके की प्रधानमंत्री लिज़ ट्रस ने अपनी नियुक्ति के छह सप्ताह बाद ही पद से त्यागपत्र दे दिया है। सुश्री ट्रस केवल 45 दिनों के लिए ब्रिटिश इतिहास में सबसे कम समय तक सेवा करने वाली प्रधानमंत्री बन गई हैं। इससे पहले यह रिकॉर्ड जॉर्ज कैनिंग के नाम पर था, जिन्होनें वर्ष 1827 में 119 दिनों तक पद संभाला था, और इसके दौरान उनकी मृत्यु हो गई थी।

2. Union Education Ministry will organise 'Kashi Tamil Sangamam' - a month-long programme from 16th of next month - to rediscover the centuries-old bond of knowledge and ancient civilisational linakage between Varanasi and Tamilnadu. Over 2400 tamil people in 12 groups from diverse sections of society, including acedemics, spiritualism, philosophy, trade and commerce, agriculture, entrepreneurship, arts and artisanship will visit Kashi for eight days to get familiarised with the ancient knowledge shared by these two ancient cities.

Ø केंद्रीय शिक्षा मंत्रालय वाराणसी और तमिलनाडु के बीच सदियों पुराने ज्ञान और प्राचीन सभ्यता के संबंध को फिर से खोजने के लिए अगले माह की 16 तारीख से 'काशी तमिल संगमम' नामक एक कार्यक्रम आयोजित करेगा। शिक्षाविद, अध्यात्म, दर्शन, व्यापार और वाणिज्य, कृषि, उद्यमिता, कला और कारीगर सहित समाज के विभिन्न वर्गों के 12 समूहों में 2400 से अधिक तमिल लोग इन दो प्राचीन शहरों द्वारा साझा किए गए प्राचीन ज्ञान से परिचित होने के लिए आठ दिनों के लिए काशी का दौरा करेंगे।

3. The central African country, Chad's President Mahamat Idriss Deby declared a state of emergency as the country struggles to deal with exceptional flooding that has affected millions of people. The President said that heavy floods in the Central African country are affecting 636 localities in 18 of its 23 regions. it is causing tens of thousands to flee and decimating thousands of hectares of cultivated land.

Ø मध्य अफ्रीकी देश, चाड के राष्ट्रपति महामत इदरीस डेबी ने आपातकाल की स्थिति घोषित कर दी है, क्योंकि देश असाधारण बाढ़ से निपटने के लिए संघर्ष कर रहा है; जिसने लाखों लोगों को प्रभावित किया है। राष्ट्रपति ने कहा है कि मध्य अफ्रीकी देश में भारी बाढ़ से उसके 23 क्षेत्रों में से 18 में 636 इलाके प्रभावित हो रहे हैं। यह लगभग दस हजार लोगों को पलायन करने के लिए विवश कर रहा है और हज़ारों हेक्टेयर खेती योग्य भूमि को नष्ट कर रहा है।

4. The Fifth Khelo India Youth Games -2022 will be held in Madhya Pradesh. The games will be held from 31st January to 11th February next year. The upcoming edition of the Khelo India Youth Games will feature a total of 27 disciplines.  Water sports being included for the first time in the history of the games.

Ø पांचवें खेलो इंडिया यूथ गेम्स-2022 का आयोजन मध्य प्रदेश में होगा। ये गेम्स अगले वर्ष 31 जनवरी से 11 फरवरी तक खेले जाएंगे। खेलो इंडिया यूथ गेम्स के आगामी संस्करण में कुल 27 विषय होंगे। खेलों के इतिहास में पहली बार वाटर स्पोर्ट्स को भी शामिल किया जा रहा है।

5. India's forex reserves rose by 204 million to 532.868 billion US dollar for the week ended October 7 on an increase in the value of gold holdings. Reserve Bank said that in the previous reporting week, the overall reserves had dropped by 4.854 billion to 532.664 billion US dollars. In October 2021, country's forex kitty had reached an all-time high of 645 billion US dollars.

Ø सोने की होल्डिंग के मूल्य में वृद्धि पर 7 अक्टूबर को समाप्त सप्ताह के लिए भारत का विदेशी मुद्रा भंडार 204 मिलियन बढ़कर 532.868 बिलियन अमेरिकी डॉलर हो गया है। रिजर्व बैंक के अनुसार पिछले रिपोर्टिंग सप्ताह में, कुल भंडार 4.854 अरब घटकर 532.664 अरब अमेरिकी डॉलर हो गया था। अक्टूबर 2021 में, देश की विदेशी मुद्रा भंडार 645 बिलियन अमेरिकी डॉलर के सर्वकालिक उच्च स्तर पर पहुंच गई थी।

6. The government named Financial Services Secretary Sanjay Malhotra as Revenue Secretary. He will succeed Tarun Bajaj, who is retiring on 30 November. The government has appointed Vivek Joshi as the financial services secretary. He is currently the Registrar General of India and Census Commissioner in the Ministry of Home Affairs. He will be appointed as Officer on Special Duty in the Department of Revenue. Nagendra Nath Sinha, currently the rural development secretary, will take charge as the secretary of the Ministry of Steel after Sanjay Kumar Singh, retires on December 31.

Ø केंद्र सरकार ने वित्तीय सेवा सचिव संजय मल्होत्रा को राजस्व सचिव के रूप में नामित किया है। वह तरुण बजाज का स्थान लेंगे, जो 30 नवंबर को सेवानिवृत्त हो रहे हैं। सरकार ने विवेक जोशी को वित्तीय सेवा सचिव नियुक्त किया है। वह वर्तमान में भारत के रजिस्ट्रार जनरल और गृह मंत्रालय में जनगणना आयुक्त हैं। उन्हें राजस्व विभाग में विशेष कार्याधिकारी के पद पर नियुक्त किया जाएगा। नागेंद्र नाथ सिन्हा, जो वर्तमान में ग्रामीण विकास सचिव हैं, संजय कुमार सिंह के 31 दिसंबर को सेवानिवृत्त होने के बाद इस्पात मंत्रालय के सचिव के रूप में कार्यभार संभालेंगे।

7. Madhya Pradesh Wildlife Board approved a new reserve for tigers of Panna Tiger Reserve (PTR), one-fourth of which will get submerged due to the linking of the Ken-Betwa rivers. The 2,339 square kilometres new tiger reserve, to be called Durgavati Tiger Reserve, will spread across Narisinghpur, Damoh and Sagar districts. A green corridor linking PTR with Durgavati will be developed for the natural movement of the tiger to the new reserve. As part of a wildlife management plan for Panna in wake of the Ken-Betwa river linking project, the NTCA had asked Uttar Pradesh and MP governments to notify new tiger reserves. The two state governments, with the Centre, are implementing a ₹44,605 crore river-linking project to end the water crisis in Bundelkhand region.

Ø मध्य प्रदेश वन्यजीव बोर्ड ने पन्ना टाइगर रिजर्व (पीटीआर) के बाघों के लिए एक नए रिजर्व की स्वीकृति  प्रदान कर दी है, जिसमें से एक चौथाई क्षेत्र केन-बेतवा नदियों को जोड़ने के कारण जलमग्न हो जाएगा। 2,339 वर्ग किलोमीटर का नया टाइगर रिजर्व, जिसे दुर्गावती टाइगर रिजर्व कहा जाएगा, नरसिंहपुर, दमोह और सागर जिलों में विस्तृत होगा। पीटीआर को दुर्गावती से जोड़ने वाला एक ग्रीन कॉरिडोर विकसित किया जाएगा, जिससे कि बाघों की प्राकृतिक आवाजाही नए रिजर्व में हो सके। केन-बेतवा नदी जोड़ने की परियोजना के मद्देनजर पन्ना के लिए वन्यजीव प्रबंधन योजना अंतर्गत, एनटीसीए ने उत्तर प्रदेश और एमपी सरकारों को नए बाघ अभयारण्यों को अधिसूचित करने के लिए कहा था। केंद्र के साथ दोनों राज्य सरकारें बुंदेलखंड क्षेत्र में जल संकट को समाप्त करने के लिए 44,605 करोड़ रुपये की नदी-जोड़ने की परियोजना को लागू कर रही हैं।

8. Shri Jaxay Shah, former Chairman of CREDAI and founder Chairman of Savvy Group has been appointed as the Chairman of Quality Council of India (QCI) for a period of three years effective from 21st October 2022. The incumbent chairman succeeds the former McKinsey India Chief Shri Adil Zainulbhai who served as the Chairman of QCI through three terms for a period of eight years from 2014 to 2022. QCI was established in 1997 through a Cabinet Note by the Government of India.

Ø क्रेडाई के पूर्व अध्यक्ष तथा सैवी ग्रुप के संस्थापक अध्यक्ष श्री जक्षय शाह को 21 अक्टूबर, 2022 से तीन वर्षों की अवधि के लिए भारतीय गुणवत्ता परिषद (क्यूसीआई) के नए अध्यक्ष के रूप में नियुक्त किया गया है। वर्तमान अध्यक्ष मैकन्से इंडिया के पूर्व प्रमुख श्री आदिल जैनुलभाई; जिन्होंने 2014 से 2022 तक आठ वर्षों की अवधि के लिए तीन कार्यकालों के माध्यम से क्यूसीआई के अध्यक्ष के रूप में कार्य किया, का स्थान लेंगे। क्यूसीआई की स्थापना 1997 में भारत सरकार के एक कैबिनेट नोट के माध्यम से की गई थी।

9. Global Dignity Day is held on the third Wednesday of October. This year Global Dignity Day is observed on the 19th of October.  It was established in 2008 and continues to grow in popularity. Dignity is an inherent part of the human condition. The day is an initiative to educate and inspire young people and help them to understand their self-worth and goals. It is an initiative celebration day that educates and inspires young people.

Ø ग्लोबल डिग्निटी डे अक्टूबर माह के तीसरे बुधवार को मनाया जाता है। इस वर्ष 19 अक्टूबर को ग्लोबल डिग्निटी डे मनाया जा रहा है। यह 2008 में स्थापित किया गया था। गरिमा मानवीय स्थिति का एक अंतर्निहित हिस्सा है। यह दिन युवाओं को शिक्षित और प्रेरित करने और उन्हें उनके आत्म-मूल्य और लक्ष्यों को समझने में सहायता करने की एक पहल है। यह एक पहल उत्सव दिवस है, जो युवाओं को शिक्षित और प्रेरित करता है।

10. As compared to 40th out of 43 countries in 2021, India ranked 41 out of 44 countries in the Mercer CFS Global Pension Index. Mercer CFS Global Pension Index studies 44 countries that account for 65 per cent of the world's population. The survey was topped by Iceland, the Netherlands and Denmark. Thailand had the lowest rating of 41.7.
