1.The fourth edition of IPRD is scheduled to be held from 23 to 25 Nov 22. The theme of IPRD-2022 is ‘Operationalising the Indo-Pacific Oceans Initiative (IPOI)’, which was articulated by the Hon’ble Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi in Bangkok, at the 14th East Asia Summit (EAS) on 04 November 2019. The IPRD is an apex level international annual conference of Indian Navy, and is principal manifestation of Navy’s engagement at the strategic-level.

Ø आईपीआरडी का चौथा संस्करण 23 नवंबर से 25 नवंबर 2022 तक आयोजित किया जा रहा है। आईपीआरडी -2022 का विषय 'ऑपेरशनलाइज़िंग द इंडो पैसिफिक ओशन्स इनिशिएटिव (आईपीओआई)' है, जिसे प्रधानमंत्री नरेन्द्र मोदी द्वारा 04 नवंबर 2019 को 14वीं पूर्व एशिया शिखर सम्मेलन (ईएएस) में बैंकाक में अभिव्यक्त किया गया था। आईपीआरडी भारतीय नौसेना का एक शीर्ष स्तर का अंतर्राष्ट्रीय वार्षिक सम्मेलन है, और रणनीतिक स्तर पर नौसेना के कार्यकलाप की मुख्य अभिव्यक्ति है।

2.The Ministry of Ayush has formally announced setting up of Ayurveda Academic Chair based at Western Sydney University’s NICM Health Research Institute, with tenure for a period of three years. Dr. Rajagopala S., Associate Professor & Head (Department of Kaumarabhritya) All India Institute of Ayurveda (AIIA), New Delhi has been selected for the post of Academic Chair in Ayurvedic Science at Western Sydney University, Australia. The Academic Chair will undertake academic and collaborative research activities in Ayurveda, including herbal medicine and yoga, as well as design academic standards and short-term/medium-term courses and educational guidelines.

Ø आयुष मंत्रालय ने औपचारिक रूप से वेस्टर्न सिडनी यूनिवर्सिटी के एनआईसीएम हेल्थ रिसर्च इंस्टीट्यूट में तीन वर्ष की अवधि के लिए आयुर्वेद शैक्षणिक पीठ (एकेडमिक चेयर) की स्थापना की घोषणा की है। अखिल भारतीय आयुर्वेद संस्थान (एआईआईए), नई दिल्ली के एसोसिएट प्रोफेसर और प्रमुख (कौमारभृत्य विभाग) डॉ. राजगोपाला एस. को पश्चिमी सिडनी विश्वविद्यालय, ऑस्ट्रेलिया में आयुर्वेदिक विज्ञान अकादमिक पीठ के पद के लिए चुना गया है। यह अकादमिक पीठ (चेयर) आयुर्वेद में शैक्षणिक (अकादमिक) और सहयोगी अनुसंधान गतिविधियों का संचालन करेगा, जिसमें वानस्पतिक औषधियों एवं योग के साथ ही अकादमिक मानकों तथा लघु अवधि / मध्यम अवधि के पाठ्यक्रम और शैक्षिक दिशा-निर्देश भी शामिल हैं।

3.India has been ranked amongst top 5 countries in the world, and the best among the G20 countries, based on its Climate Change performance. India jumps 2 spots higher, and is now ranked 8th as per Climate Change Performance Index (CCPI, 2023) published by German Watch, New Climate Institute and Climate Action Network International based in Germany. The latest report of CCPI, released at COP 27 in November 2022, shows Denmark, Sweden, Chile and Morocco as the only four small countries that were ranked above India as 4th, 5th, 6th and 7th respectively. The first, second and third ranks were not awarded to any country.

Ø जलवायु परिवर्तन के प्रदर्शन के आधार पर भारत को विश्व के शीर्ष 5 देशों में एवं जी-20 देशों में सर्वश्रेष्ठ स्थान दिया गया है। जर्मनी में स्थित जर्मन वॉच, न्यू क्लाइमेट इंस्टीट्यूट तथा क्लाइमेट एक्शन नेटवर्क इंटरनेशनल द्वारा प्रकाशित जलवायु परिवर्तन प्रदर्शन सूचकांक (क्लाइमेट चेंज परफॉर्मेंस इंडेक्स–सीसीपीआई 2023) के अनुसार भारत ने  2 स्थानों की छलांग लगाईं है और अब वह 8वें स्थान पर है। नवंबर 2022 में सीओपी 27 में जारी सीसीपीआई की नवीनतम रिपोर्ट में डेनमार्क, स्वीडन, चिली और मोरक्को को केवल ऐसे चार छोटे देशों के रूप में दिखाया गया है जो क्रमशः भारत से ऊपर चौथे, 5वें, 6वें और 7वें स्थान पर थे। किसी भी देश को पहला, दूसरा और तीसरा स्थान नहीं दिया गया।

4.  Australia’s Parliament passed bilateral free trade agreement with India. The deals are crucial for Australia to diversify its exports from the troubled Chinese market to India and to forge new bilateral trade relations. The bills easily passed the House of Representatives on Monday and the Senate made them law.

Ø ऑस्ट्रेलिया की संसद ने भारत के साथ द्विपक्षीय मुक्त व्यापार समझौता पारित किया है। ऑस्ट्रेलिया के लिए; दुर्लभ चीनी बाजार से अब भारत में अपने निर्यात में विविधता लाने और नए द्विपक्षीय व्यापार संबंधों को बनाने के लिए यह सौदा महत्वपूर्ण है। यह विधेयक प्रतिनिधि सभा में सुलभता से पारित हो गया है और सीनेट ने इसे क़ानून बना दिया है।

5. South Western Command of the Indian Army conducted Integrated Fire Power Exercise, “SHATRUNASH’’ at MFFR in Thar desert of Rajasthan on Monday. The exercise witnessed use of multi farious firing platforms in an integrated manner involving both ground & aerial manoeuvres. Various actions included ion of troops, offensive ground actions involving comprehensive coordination incorporating contemporary technologies in a multi domain environment.

Ø भारतीय सेना के दक्षिण पश्चिमी कमान ने राजस्थान के थार रेगिस्तान में एमएफएफआर में एकीकृत अग्नि शक्ति अभ्यास, "शत्रुनाश" का आयोजन किया है। इस अभ्यास में जमीनी और हवाई युद्धाभ्यास दोनों को शामिल करते हुए एक एकीकृत तरीके से बहुउद्देश्यीय फायरिंग प्लेटफार्मों का उपयोग देखा गया है। इसके अंतर्गत विभिन्न कार्रवाइयों में सैनिकों की अधिकता, आक्रामक जमीनी कार्रवाइयाँ शामिल थीं जिनमें बहु-क्षेत्रीय वातावरण में समकालीन तकनीकों को शामिल करते हुए व्यापक समन्वय शामिल था।

6. Karnataka came at the top position while comparing the total installed capacity of grid-interactive renewable power of all the states of the country. The state had a total installed capacity of 15,463 megawatts (mw), according to an RBI publication. Tamil Nadu, with 15,225 mw, came at the second; Gujarat, with 13,153 mw, was at third position while Maharashtra, with 10,267 mw, was at the fourth, according to Handbook of Statistics on Indian States 2021-22, which was the seventh edition of its statistical publication, released by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI).

7. To facilitate rupee trade with Russia, the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has approved the opening of special vostro accounts by two more lenders, HDFC Bank and Canara Bank. This paves the way for cross-border trade in the Indian currency, especially between New Delhi and Moscow. Three other Indian banks — State Bank of India, IndusInd Bank and UCO Bank — had earlier received the necessary permissions from the regulator to roll out rupee trades. In July, the central bank had introduced a new arrangement for settling international trades in rupees. The mechanism, enabling the invoicing, payment and settlement of exports and imports in rupees, is aimed at promoting trade.

Ø रूस के साथ रुपये के व्यापार को सुविधाजनक बनाने के लिए, भारतीय रिजर्व बैंक (RBI) ने दो और उधारदाताओं, HDFC बैंक और केनरा बैंक द्वारा विशेष वोस्ट्रो खाते खोलने की स्वीकृति प्रदान कर दी है। यह विशेष रूप से भारत और रूस के बीच भारतीय मुद्रा में सीमा पार व्यापार का मार्ग प्रशस्त करता है। तीन अन्य भारतीय बैंकों - स्टेट बैंक ऑफ इंडिया, इंडसइंड बैंक और यूको बैंक - को पूर्व में रुपये के व्यापार को प्रारम्भ करने के लिए भारतीय रिजर्व बैंक से आवश्यक अनुमति प्राप्त हुई थी। जुलाई में, केंद्रीय बैंक ने अंतर्राष्ट्रीय व्यापार को रुपये में निपटाने के लिए एक नई व्यवस्था प्रारम्भ की थी। रुपये में निर्यात और आयात का रसीदीकरण, भुगतान और निपटान को सक्षम करने वाले इस तंत्र का उद्देश्य व्यापार को प्रोत्साहन प्रदान करना है।

8.In a historic election, Prof. Venu Gopal Achanta, Director, CSIR-National Physical Laboratory (CSIR-NPL), New Delhi, has been elected as a member of the prestigious International Committee for Weights and Measures (CIPM). Prof. Gopal was declared an elected Member of CIPM in the recently held 27th General Conference on Weights and Measures (CGPM) meeting during Nov. 15-18, 2022 at Paris, France. CIPM is a supreme international committee, which is responsible for Development and Implementation of Weight and Measures globally. Prof. Venu Gopal Achanta is among 18 members worldwide from different countries. He is the 7th Indian to be in the prestigious international committee.

Ø एक ऐतिहासिक चुनाव में, सीएसआईआर-राष्ट्रीय भौतिक प्रयोगशाला (सीएसआईआर-एनपीएल), नई दिल्ली के निदेशक प्रो. वेणु गोपाल अचंता को प्रतिष्ठित भार एवं माप की अंतर्राष्ट्रीय समिति (सीआईपीएम) का सदस्य चुना गया है। श्री गोपाल को फ्रांस के पेरिस में 15-18 नवंबर, 2022 के दौरान आयोजित भार एवं माप (सीजीपीएम) बैठक में सीआईपीएम का निर्वाचित सदस्य घोषित किया गया है। सीआईपीएम एक सर्वोच्च अंतरराष्ट्रीय समिति है, जो वैश्विक रूप से भार एवं माप के विकास और कार्यान्वयन के लिए उत्तरदायी है। प्रो. वेणु गोपाल अचंता पूरे विश्व के विभिन्न देशों के 18 सदस्यों में से एक हैं। वह प्रतिष्ठित अंतरराष्ट्रीय समिति में शामिल होने वाले 7वें भारतीय हैं।

9.     With an interactive doodle, Google Monday honoured Marie Tharp, an American geologist and oceanographic cartographer who contributed to validating continental drift theory. Marie Tharp was born on July 30 1920. The only child who was born in Ypsilanti, Michigan. Map-making was introduced to Tharp by her father, who worked for the US Department of Agriculture. She pursued a master’s degree in petroleum geology at the University of Michigan, which was especially notable given the dearth of women in science careers at the time.

10.Recently, Axis Bank launches 7th edition of knowledge summit 'Evolve' for MSMEs. The current edition is focused on the broader theme of ‘Indian SMEs: Shifting Gears for Next Level Growth’ with sub-themes such as 'Digitalisation to Building Indian SMEs’ and ‘Export Opportunities for SMEs in the New World Order’.
