1.      The United Nations General Assembly has declared the year 2023 as the International Year of Millets. To commemorate this, the University of Agricultural Sciences, Raichur and NABARD organized a two-day Millets Conclave in collaboration with the Agriculture and allied departments.

Ø  संयुक्त राष्ट्र महासभा ने वर्ष 2023 को अंतर्राष्ट्रीय बाजरा वर्ष के रूप में घोषित किया है। इसके अंतर्गत, कृषि विज्ञान विश्वविद्यालय, रायचूर और नाबार्ड ने कृषि और संबद्ध विभागों के सहयोग से दो दिवसीय बाजरा सम्मेलन का आयोजन किया।

2.      The Ministry of Culture along Sangeet Natak Akademi, the designated nodal agency for ICH, in collaboration with the National Museum and National Museum Institute, organized the celebration of the successful inscription of ‘Durga Puja in Kolkata’ on the Representative List of ICH of Humanity in 2021.‘Durga Puja in Kolkata’ was inscribed on the Representative List of Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity during its 16th session  held in Paris, France from 13th to 18th December 2021.

Ø  संस्कृति मंत्रालय ने संगीत नाटक अकादमी के साथ, आईसीएच के लिए नामित नोडल एजेंसी, राष्ट्रीय संग्रहालय और राष्ट्रीय संग्रहालय संस्थान के सहयोग से 2021 में मानवता की आईसीएच प्रतिनिधि सूची में 'कोलकाता में दुर्गा पूजा' के सफल रूप से शामिल होने के उत्सव का आयोजन किया। फ्रांस के पेरिस में 13 से 18 दिसंबर 2021 तक आयोजित हुए 16वें सत्र के दौरान 'कोलकाता की दुर्गा पूजा' को मानवता की अमूर्त सांस्कृतिक विरासत की प्रतिनिधि सूची में शामिल किया गया था।

3.      As part of the Indian Navy's long-range operational deployment, INS Sumedha deployed to South East Asia, visited Port Klang, Malaysia on 27 August 2022. The ship is on her return passage from Perth, Australia where she participated in the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav celebrations.

Ø  भारतीय नौसेना की लंबी दूरी की परिचालन तैनाती के अंतर्गत, दक्षिण पूर्व एशिया में तैनात आईएनएस सुमेधा ने 27 अगस्त 2022 को पोर्ट क्लैंग, मलेशिया का दौरा किया है। जहाज पर्थ, ऑस्ट्रेलिया से अपने वापसी के मार्ग पर है, जहां उसने आजादी का अमृत महोत्सव समारोह में भाग लिया था।

4.      Association of Renewable Energy Agencies of States (AREAS)'s 8th Foundation Day celebration held in Kochi. Shri Bhagwanth Khuba, Minister of State for New and Renewable Energy inaugurated the function. Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency Ltd. (IREDA) received an award from the Association of Renewable Energy Agencies of States for best performance in the Renewable Energy Sector during 2021-22.

Ø  राज्यों की अक्षय ऊर्जा एजेंसियों का संघ (AREAS) का 8वां स्थापना दिवस समारोह कोच्चि में आयोजित किया गया। नवीन और नवीकरणीय ऊर्जा राज्य मंत्री श्री भगवंत खुबा ने समारोह का उद्घाटन किया। भारतीय अक्षय ऊर्जा विकास एजेंसी लिमिटेड (IREDA) को 2021-22 के दौरान अक्षय ऊर्जा क्षेत्र में सर्वश्रेष्ठ प्रदर्शन के लिए राज्यों की अक्षय ऊर्जा एजेंसियों के संघ से पुरस्कार मिला।

5.      The 13th Edition of India - USA Joint Special Forces Exercise VAJRA PRAHAR 2022 culminated at Bakloh (HP) on 28 August 2022. This annual exercise is hosted alternatively between India and the United States. The 12th edition was conducted at Joint Base Lewis Mc Chord, Washington (USA) in October 2021.

Ø  भारत- अमेरिका संयुक्त विशेष बल अभ्यास वज्र प्रहार- 2022 का 13वां संस्करण 28 अगस्त, 2022 को बकलोह (हिमाचल प्रदेश) में संपन्न हुआ। इस वार्षिक अभ्यास का आयोजन बारी-बारी से भारत और अमेरिका में किया जाता है। इससे पहले इसके 12वें संस्करण को अक्टूबर, 2021 में अमेरिका के वाशिंगटन स्थित जॉइंट बेस लुईस मैक कॉर्ड में आयोजित किया गया था।

6.      Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the pedestrian-only 'Atal Bridge'' on Sabarmati river in Gujarat's Ahmedabad city. This iconic bridge, having an eye-catching design and LED lighting, is nearly 300 meters long and 14 meters wide in the middle and connects the flower garden on the western-end of the riverfront and the upcoming arts and culture centre on the eastern-end.

Ø  प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी गुजरात के अहमदाबाद शहर में साबरमती नदी पर 'केवल पैदल चलने योग्य' 'अटल ब्रिज' का उद्घाटन करेंगे। आकर्षक डिजाइन और एलईडी लाइटिंग से युक्त यह प्रतिष्ठित पुल लगभग 300 मीटर लंबा और बीच में 14 मीटर चौड़ा है और नदी के पश्चिमी छोर पर फूलों के बगीचे और पूर्वी छोर पर कला और संस्कृति केंद्र को जोड़ता है।

7.      Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana PMJDY, the National Mission for Financial Inclusion completed eight years of successful implementation today, August 28th. More than 46.25 crore beneficiaries banked under PMJDY since inception, amounting to over one lakh 73 thousand crore rupees. PMJDY Accounts grew three-fold from 14.72 crore in March 2015 to 46.25 crore as on the 10th of this month.

Ø  प्रधानमंत्री जन-धन योजना PMJDY, वित्तीय समावेशन के राष्ट्रीय मिशन ने 28 अगस्त को सफल कार्यान्वयन के आठ वर्ष पूरे कर लिए। पीएमजेडीवाई के अंतर्गत प्रारंभ से अब तक 46.25 करोड़ से अधिक लाभार्थियों ने एक लाख 73 हजार करोड़ रुपये से अधिक की राशि जमा की है। पीएमजेडीवाई खाते में कुल राशि; मार्च 2015 में 14.72 करोड़ से तीन गुना बढ़कर इस माह की 10 तारीख को 46.25 करोड़ हो गयी है।

8.      PM Modi today dedicated India’s first earthquake memorial, named Smruti Van at Bhuj in Gujarat. Smruti Van is a unique memorial carrying the names of more than 12 thousand people who lost their lives in the devastating earthquake that struck here in January 2001.This novel memorial is spread across 470 acres of land and is built atop Bhujiyo hill. The earthquake simulator will provide real like experience of earthquake tremors to visitors.

Ø  पीएम मोदी ने गुजरात के भुज में भारत के पहले भूकंप स्मारक, स्मृति वन को देश को समर्पित किया है। स्मृति वन एक अनूठा स्मारक है, जिसमें जनवरी 2001 में आए विनाशकारी भूकंप में अपनी जान गंवाने वाले 12 हजार से अधिक लोगों के नाम लिखे गए हैं। यह नया स्मारक 470 एकड़ भूमि में फैला हुआ है और भुजियो पहाड़ी के ऊपर बनाया गया है। भूकंप सिम्युलेटर, आगंतुकों को भूकंप के झटके का वास्तविक अनुभव प्रदान करेगा।

9.      Defence Minister Rajnath Singh has approved the third Positive Indigenisation List of 780 strategically important Line Replacement Units, Sub-systems and Components. They will only be procured from Indian Industry after the timelines indicated in the list. This list is in continuation to the two Positive Indigenisation Lists that were published in December last year and March this year.

Ø  रक्षा मंत्री राजनाथ सिंह ने रणनीतिक रूप से महत्वपूर्ण 780 लाइन रिप्लेसमेंट इकाइयों, उप-प्रणालियों और घटकों की तीसरी सकारात्मक स्वदेशीकरण सूची को स्वीकृति प्रदान कर दी है। इस सूची में दर्शाई गई समय-सीमा के बाद ही उन्हें भारतीय उद्योग से खरीदा जाएगा। यह सूची पिछले वर्ष दिसंबर और इस वर्ष मार्च में प्रकाशित दो सकारात्मक स्वदेशीकरण सूचियों के क्रम के अंतर्गत आते है।

10.  Indian judoka Linthoi Chanambam has made history by clinching the country’s first-ever gold across any age group in the Cadet World Championships held in Sarajevo by defeating Brazil’s Bianca Reis in the women’s 57 kg category. She defeated her Brazillian opponent by 1-0 in the gold medal match. Linthoi is also the reigning Asian Champion in her sport.

Ø  भारतीय जुडोका लिन्थोई चनंबम ने महिलाओं के 57 किग्रा वर्ग में ब्राजील की बियांका रीस को हराकर साराजेवो में आयोजित हुए कैडेट विश्व चैंपियनशिप में किसी भी आयु वर्ग में देश का पहला स्वर्ण जीतकर इतिहास रच दिया है। उन्होंने अपने ब्राजीलियाई प्रतिद्वंद्वी को 1-0 से को गोल्ड मेडल मैच में हराया । लिंथोई अपने खेल में वर्तमान एशियाई चैंपियन भी हैं।
