1.     Centre has appointed Rajesh Kumar Srivastava as the acting chairman of Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC). He is the third interim chief who has been appointed in last 17 months, as the government has not made a full-time appointment yet. Srivastava has been given the chairman’s role for four months instead of the usual practice of three months. He will retire on December 31.

Ø केंद्र सरकार ने राजेश कुमार श्रीवास्तव को तेल और प्राकृतिक गैस निगम (ONGC) का कार्यवाहक अध्यक्ष नियुक्त किया है। पिछले 17 माह में वह तीसरे अंतरिम प्रमुख हैं, क्योंकि सरकार ने अभी तक पूर्णकालिक नियुक्ति नहीं की है। राजेश कुमार श्रीवास्तव को तीन माह की सामान्य प्रथा के स्थान पर चार माह के लिए अध्यक्ष की भूमिका दी गई है। वह 31 दिसंबर को सेवानिवृत्त होंगे।

2.     World Coconut Day is observed every September 2 worldwide since 2009. The day commemorates the formation of the Asian Pacific Coconut Community (APCC) in 1969. APCC was established to ensure sustained development of the coconut industry around the world under the aegis of the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (UN-ESCAP).

Ø विश्व नारियल दिवस 2009 से विश्व भर में प्रत्येक वर्ष 2 सितंबर को मनाया जाता है। यह दिन 1969 में एशियाई प्रशांत नारियल समुदाय (APCC) के गठन के सन्दर्भ में मनाया जाता है। APCC की स्थापना, संयुक्त-राष्ट्र एशिया और प्रशांत के लिए आर्थिक और सामाजिक आयोग (यूएन-ईएससीएपी) के तत्वावधान में विश्व भर में नारियल उद्योग के निरंतर विकास को सुनिश्चित करने के लिए की गई थी।

3.     Senior Indian Information Service officer, Dr. Vasudha Gupta assumed the charge of Director General of News Services Division, All India Radio. A 1989-batch Officer Dr. Gupta has served in various capacities in the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting in an over 32 year long career. Before her appointment as Director General of the News Services Division of All India Radio, she was serving as DG, Press Information Bureau.

Ø वरिष्ठ भारतीय सूचना सेवा अधिकारी डॉ. वसुधा गुप्ता ने आकाशवाणी के समाचार सेवा प्रभाग के महानिदेशक का पदभार ग्रहण किया। 1989 बैच की अधिकारी डॉ. गुप्ता ने 32 वर्ष से अधिक लंबे करियर में सूचना और प्रसारण मंत्रालय में विभिन्न पदों पर कार्य किया है। ऑल इंडिया रेडियो के समाचार सेवा प्रभाग के महानिदेशक के रूप में अपनी नियुक्ति से पहले, वह महानिदेशक, प्रेस सूचना ब्यूरो के रूप में कार्यरत थीं।

4.     SBI Card announced the launch of ‘cashback SBI Card’ that enables cardholders to earn 5% cashback on all online spending without any merchant restrictions. Consumers across India, including those in tier 2 and 3 cities, can apply for ‘cashback SBI Card’ from the comfort of their homes through the digital application platform ‘SBI Card SPRINT’.

Ø एसबीआई कार्ड ने एक 'कैशबैक एसबीआई कार्ड' लॉन्च करने की घोषणा की है, जो कार्डधारकों को बिना किसी मर्चेंट प्रतिबंध के सभी ऑनलाइन खर्चों पर 5% कैशबैक अर्जित करने में सक्षम बनाता है। टियर 2 और 3 शहरों सहित पूरे भारत के उपभोक्ता डिजिटल एप्लिकेशन प्लेटफॉर्म 'एसबीआई कार्ड स्प्रिंट' के माध्यम से अपने घरों में सुलभता से 'कैशबैक एसबीआई कार्ड' के लिए आवेदन कर सकते हैं।

5.     In Odisha, the ‘Nua Khai’ festival is being celebrated. In this festival, celebrated particularly in western odisha, the new rice of the season is offered to the deities even before the crop is harvested. People take the ‘new rice’ so offered to the goddess as ‘Prasad’, thereby symbolising their gratitude to the divine for blessing them with ‘Anna’ or food.

Ø ओडिशा राज्य में, 'नुआ खाई' उत्सव मनाया जा रहा है। विशेष रूप से पश्चिमी ओडिशा में मनाए जाने वाले इस त्योहार में, फसल की कटाई से पहले ही देवताओं को मौसम के नए चावल चढ़ाए जाते हैं। लोग, देवी को चढ़ाए गए 'नए चावल' को 'प्रसाद' के रूप में लेते हैं, जिससे उन्हें 'अन्न' या भोजन के साथ आशीर्वाद देने के लिए परमात्मा के प्रति कृतज्ञता का प्रतीक है।

6.     The Central Council for Research in Ayurvedic Sciences (CCRAS), has taken a unique initiative to support the research efforts of bright young minds of the Country by developing the Studentship Program for Ayurveda Research Ken (SPARK) for Ayurveda (BAMS) students studying in recognised Ayurveda colleges.

Ø केंद्रीय आयुर्वेदिक विज्ञान अनुसंधान परिषद (सीसीआरएएस) ने मान्यता प्राप्त आयुर्वेद कॉलेज संस्थान में अध्ययन कर रहे आयुर्वेद (बीएएमएस) के छात्रों के लिए "आयुर्वेद अनुसंधान केन (स्पार्क) के लिए छात्र कार्यक्रम" विकसित करके देश के उज्ज्वल युवा मष्तिष्क के अनुसंधान प्रयासों का समर्थन करने के लिए एक अनूठी पहल प्रारंभ की है।

7.     Showcasing the country’s growing prowess of indigenous manufacturing and a major milestone in the path towards ‘Aatmanirbhar Bharat’, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi commissioned the country’s first indigenous aircraft carrier Indian Naval Ship (INS) Vikrant at Cochin Shipyard Limited (CSL) on September 02, 2022.  During the event, the Prime Minister also unveiled the new Naval Ensign (Nishaan), doing away with the colonial past and befitting the rich Indian maritime heritage. He dedicated the new ensign to Chhatrapati Shivaji.

Ø प्रधानमंत्री श्री नरेन्द्र मोदी ने 02 सितंबर, 2022 को कोचीन शिपयार्ड लिमिटेड (सीएसएल) में स्वदेशी निर्माण में देश की बढ़ती शक्ति और ‘आत्मनिर्भर भारत’ की दिशा में एक प्रमुख पड़ाव के प्रतीक के रूप में देश के पहले स्वदेशी वायुयान वाहक पोत आईएनएस विक्रांत को राष्ट्र की सेवा में समर्पित किया। इस कार्यक्रम के दौरान औपनिवेशिक अतीत से अलग, प्रधानमंत्री ने नये नौसेना ध्वज का अनावरण किया और इस नए निशान को छत्रपति शिवाजी के प्रति समर्पित किया।

8.     Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has topped amongst all Ministries/Departments for resolving Public Grievances in the ranking report published by Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances (DARPG) for the month of August 2022. UIDAI has been a top performer in resolution of cases received through Centralized Public Grievance Redress and Monitoring System (CPGRAMS).

Ø भारतीय विशिष्ट पहचान प्राधिकरण (यूआईडीएआई) ने अगस्त 2022 के माह के लिए प्रशासनिक सुधार और लोक शिकायत विभाग (डीएआरपीजी) द्वारा प्रकाशित रैंकिंग रिपोर्ट में लोक शिकायतों के समाधान के लिए सभी मंत्रालयों/विभागों में शीर्ष स्थान प्राप्त किया है।

9.     Alappuzha has become the fifth fully digital banking district in the kerala State. A declaration in this regard was made by Reserve Bank of India (RBI. As part of the initiative, at least one digital transaction facility, such as debit-credit card, Internet banking, mobile banking, unified payment interface, and so on, has been enabled in 26 lakh savings/current bank accounts in 29 banks in the district.

Ø अलाप्पुझा राज्य का पांचवां पूर्ण रूप से डिजिटल बैंकिंग जिला बन गया है। इस संबंध में भारतीय रिजर्व बैंक (RBI) द्वारा एक घोषणा की गई है। इस पहल के अंतर्गत, कम से कम एक डिजिटल लेनदेन सुविधा; जैसे डेबिट-क्रेडिट कार्ड, इंटरनेट बैंकिंग, मोबाइल बैंकिंग, एकीकृत भुगतान इंटरफ़ेस, और इसी तरह, जिले के 29 बैंकों में 26 लाख बचत / चालू बैंक खातों में सक्षम किया गया है।

10.After breaching 600 crore level in July, the Unified Payments Interface (UPI) has clocked 657 crore transactions in August, a 5% month-on-month growth compared to the previous month. The transaction volume has crossed Rs 10.72 lakh crore in August.  In June this year, nearly 586 crore transactions were made, totalling 10.14 lakh crore.
