1.The second edition of Naval Commanders' Conference of 2022 is scheduled from 31 Oct to 03 Nov 22 at New Delhi. The conference serves as a platform for Naval Commanders to discuss important maritime matters at the military-strategic level through an institutionalized forum. The conference would also dwell upon the dynamics of the geostrategic situation of the region and the Navy’s readiness to deal with the same.

Ø  वर्ष 2022 में नौसेना कमांडरों के सम्मेलन का दूसरा चरण 31 अक्टूबर से 03 नवंबर, 2022 तक नई दिल्ली में आयोजित किया जायेगा। यह सम्मेलन एक संस्थागत मंच के माध्यम से सैन्य-रणनीतिक स्तर पर समुद्री सुरक्षा सम्बंधी महत्वपूर्ण मुद्दों पर चर्चा करने के लिए नौसेना के कमांडरों को एक अवसर प्रदान करने कार्य करता है। यह सम्मेलन समुद्री क्षेत्र की भू-रणनीतिक स्थिति के सामरिक महत्त्व और गतिशीलता की दृष्टि से इससे निपटने के लिए नौसेना की तत्परता पर भी केंद्रित होगा।

2. The first edition of India-Mozambique-Tanzania Trilateral Exercise (IMT TRILAT), a joint maritime exercise among the Indian, Mozambique and Tanzania navies commenced at Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania on 27 Oct 22. The Indian Navy is represented by the guided missile frigate, INS Tarkash, a Chetak helicopter and MARCOS (Special Forces). The exercise is scheduled over a three-day period from 27 to 29 Oct 22 and includes harbour and sea phases.

Ø  भारत-मोजाम्बिक-तंजानिया के बीच त्रिपक्षीय नौसैन्य अभ्यास (आईएमटी त्रिलाट) का पहला संस्करण 27 अक्टूबर, 2022 को तंजानिया के डार एस सलाम में आयोजित किया गया। इस संयुक्त समुद्री अभ्यास में भारत, मोजाम्बिक और तंजानिया की नौसेनाओं ने हिस्सा लिया। भारतीय नौसेना की तरफ से गाइडेड मिसाइल फ्रिगेट, आईएनएस तरकश, एक चेतक हेलीकॉप्टर और मार्कोस (विशेष नौसैन्य बल) ने अभ्यास में भाग लिया है। यह अभ्यास 27 से 29 अक्टूबर 2022 तक तीन दिन की अवधि में किया जा रहा है। अपनी तरह के इस पहले संयुक्त नौसैनिक अभ्यास में बंदरगाह पर तटीय और समुद्री चरण की कार्रवाई शामिल की गई हैं।

3. FIFA president Gianni Infantino on Sunday kicked off a ‘football for schools’ programme in India. On the sidelines of the Women’s Under-17 World Cup final here, the FIFA supremo inked an Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the national federation (AIFF) to launch the programme. FIFA plans to reach out to 700 million children worldwide, out of which 25 million are from India.

Ø  फीफा अध्यक्ष जियानी इन्फेंटिनो ने भारत में 'स्कूलों के लिए फुटबॉल' कार्यक्रम की शुरुआत की है। यहां महिला अंडर-17 विश्व कप फाइनल से के साथ-साथ फीफा सुप्रीमो ने कार्यक्रम प्रारम्भ करने के लिए राष्ट्रीय महासंघ (एआईएफएफ) के साथ एक समझौता ज्ञापन (एमओयू) पर हस्ताक्षर किया है। फीफा की विश्व भर में 700 मिलियन बच्चों तक पहुंच बनाने की योजना है, जिसमें से 2.5 करोड़ भारत से हैं।

4. World Thrift Day is observed on October 30 every year in India and on October 31 worldwide to promote the habit of savings among people. The day, also known as World Savings Day, was established by the World Society of Savings Banks almost a century ago, on October 31, 1924, at the first International Savings Bank Congress in Milan, Italy. The day also aims to educate people about the importance of putting their savings safely into a bank rather than their home. This year's message is "savings can make all the difference".

Ø  विश्व बचत (मितव्ययता) दिवस भारत में प्रत्येक वर्ष 30 अक्टूबर को मनाया जाता है और विश्व भर में 31 अक्टूबर को लोगों में बचत की आदत को प्रोत्साहन देने के लिए मनाया जाता है। इस दिन की स्थापना वर्ल्ड सोसाइटी ऑफ़ सेविंग्स बैंक द्वारा लगभग एक सदी पहले, 31 अक्टूबर, 1924 को मिलान, इटली में पहली अंतर्राष्ट्रीय बचत बैंक कांग्रेस में की गई थी। इस दिन का उद्देश्य लोगों को अपने घर की जगह अपनी बचत को सुरक्षित रूप से बैंक में डालने के महत्व के बारे में शिक्षित करना है। इस वर्ष का विषय है "बचत, सभी तरह अंतर ला सकती है"।

5. The “Union Home Minister’s Special Operation Medal” for the year 2022 have been awarded for 4 Special Operations. The medal was constituted in 2018 with the objective to recognize those operations, which have high degree of planning, high significance for the security of the country/State/UT and have significant impact on the security of larger sections of the society. The award shall be conferred for Special Operation in the areas such as counter terrorism, border action, arms control, prevention of narcotics smuggling and rescue operations.

Ø  वर्ष 2022 के लिए "केंद्रीय गृह मंत्री का विशेष ऑपरेशन पदक" 4 विशेष अभियानों के लिए प्रदान किया गया है। इस पदक का गठन 2018 में उन कार्यों को मान्यता देने के उद्देश्य से किया गया था, जिनमें उच्च स्तर की योजना, देश / राज्य / केंद्र शासित प्रदेश की सुरक्षा के लिए उच्च महत्व और समाज के बड़े वर्गों की सुरक्षा पर महत्वपूर्ण प्रभाव पड़ता है। यह पुरस्कार आतंकवाद, सीमा कार्रवाई, हथियार नियंत्रण, नशीले पदार्थों की तस्करी की रोकथाम और बचाव कार्यों जैसे क्षेत्रों में विशेष अभियान के लिए दिया जाएगा।

6. The National Unity Day or Rashtriya Ekta Diwas is celebrated every year on October 31st to commemorate the birth anniversary of India’s first Home Minister, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. This year will mark the 147th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, who is also known as the Iron Man of India. The Rashtriya Ekta Diwas or National Unity Day was introduced by the Indian government in 2014 to pay tribute to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel on his birth anniversary for his extraordinary work in keeping India united. The first Rashtriya Ekta Diwas event was inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi who flagged off a program, ‘Run for Unity’ in New Delhi in 2014.

Ø  राष्ट्रीय एकता दिवस प्रत्येक वर्ष 31 अक्टूबर को भारत के पहले गृह मंत्री सरदार वल्लभ भाई पटेल की जयंती के उपलक्ष्य में मनाया जाता है। इस वर्ष सरदार वल्लभ भाई पटेल की 147 वीं जयंती होगी, जिन्हें भारत के लौह पुरुष के रूप में भी जाना जाता है। राष्ट्रीय एकता दिवस, भारत सरकार द्वारा 2014 में सरदार वल्लभभाई पटेल को उनकी जयंती पर भारत को एकजुट रखने में उनके असाधारण कार्य के लिए श्रद्धांजलि देने के लिए प्रस्तुत किया गया था। प्रथम राष्ट्रीय एकता दिवस कार्यक्रम का उद्घाटन प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी ने किया था, जिन्होंने 2014 में नई दिल्ली में 'रन फॉर यूनिटी' कार्यक्रम को हरी झंडी दिखाई थी।

7. World Cities Day is celebrated on October 31 every year to highlight the need for international cooperation to promote global urbanisation and address its challenges. A different city hosts the event each year. Shanghai, China, is hosting the event this year. “Better City, Better Life” has been the general theme of World Cities Day since its inception, but each year, a sub-theme is also announced. The sub-theme this year is “Act Local to Go Global.”

Ø  वैश्विक शहरीकरण को बढ़ावा देने और इसकी चुनौतियों का समाधान करने के लिए अंतर्राष्ट्रीय सहयोग की आवश्यकता को प्रोत्साहित करने के लिए प्रत्येक वर्ष 31 अक्टूबर को विश्व शहर दिवस मनाया जाता है। प्रत्येक वर्ष एक अलग शहर इस कार्यक्रम की मेजबानी करता है। इस वर्ष चीन का शहर शंघाई, इस कार्यक्रम की मेजबानी कर रहा है। अपनी स्थापना के बाद से  "बेहतर शहर, बेहतर जीवन" विश्व शहर दिवस का सामान्य विषय रहा है, लेकिन प्रत्येक वर्ष एक उप-विषय की भी घोषणा की जाती है। इस वर्ष का उप-विषय "एक्ट लोकल टू गो ग्लोबल" है।

8. The Election Commission of India is hosting a two-day international conference on the theme ‘Role, Framework & Capacity of Election Management Bodies’ at New Delhi. The ECI leads the Cohort on Election Integrity – which was established as a follow on to the ‘Summit for Democracy’ held in December, 2021. The two-day conference will be held on October 31 & November 1, 2022 and will be inaugurated by Chief Election Commissioner of India Shri Rajiv Kumar. ‘Summit for Democracy’, was an initiative of the US President and hosted in December 2021.

Ø  भारतीय निर्वाचन आयोग नई दिल्ली में 'चुनाव प्रबंधन निकायों की भूमिका, रूपरेखा और क्षमता' विषय पर दो दिवसीय अंतर्राष्ट्रीय सम्मेलन की मेजबानी कर रहा है। भारत निर्वाचन आयोग दिसंबर, 2021 में आयोजित 'लोकतंत्र के लिए शिखर सम्मेलन' के अनुवर्ती के रूप में स्थापित चुनाव अखंडता पर समूह का नेतृत्व कर रहा है। दो दिवसीय सम्मेलन 31 अक्टूबर और 1 नवंबर, 2022 को आयोजित किया जाएगा और इसका उद्घाटन भारत के मुख्य चुनाव आयुक्त श्री राजीव कुमार द्वारा किया जाएगा। । 'लोकतंत्र के लिए शिखर सम्मेलन', अमेरिकी राष्ट्रपति की एक पहल थी और दिसंबर 2021 में इसकी मेजबानी की गई थी।

9. Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva has been elected as new president of Brazil. He defeated incumbent president Jair Bolsonaro in a close contest. Lula da Silva has secured 50.83 per cent of the votes, whereas his opponent Bolsonaro managed to get 49.17 per cent votes.

Ø  लुइज़ इनासियो लूला डा सिल्वा को ब्राजील के नए राष्ट्रपति के रूप में चुना गया है। उन्होंने एक करीबी मुकाबले में वर्तमान राष्ट्रपति जायर बोल्सोनारो को हराया है। लूला डी सिल्वा को 50.83 फीसदी वोट मिले हैं, जबकि उनके प्रतिद्वंद्वी बोल्सोनारो को 49.17 फीसदी वोट मिले हैं।

10. Maharashtra-based weightlifter Akanksha Vyavahare created three new national records in the 40kg weight category at the Khelo India National Ranking Women's Weightlifting tournament. The weightlifter, who was also a part of the Target Olympic Podium Scheme, created records in Snatch, Clean and Jerk, and Total. Akanksha bettered her existing Snatch national record, by lifting 60kg. She recorded 71kg in the Clean & Jerk, and on the process, registering a total lift of 131kg.

Ø  महाराष्ट्र की भारोत्तोलक आकांक्षा व्यवहारे ने खेलो इंडिया नेशनल रैंकिंग महिला भारोत्तोलन टूर्नामेंट में 40 किग्रा भार वर्ग में तीन नए राष्ट्रीय रिकॉर्ड बनाए हैं । भारोत्तोलक आकांक्षा, जो लक्ष्य ओलंपिक पोडियम योजना का भी हिस्सा थीं, ने स्नैच, क्लीन एंड जर्क और टोटल में रिकॉर्ड बनाए हैं। आकांक्षा ने 60 किग्रा भार उठाकर अपने वर्तमान स्नैच राष्ट्रीय रिकॉर्ड को बेहतर बनाया है। उन्होंने क्लीन एंड जर्क में 71 किग्रा दर्ज किया, और इस खेल-प्रक्रिया में, कुल 131 किग्रा का भार दर्ज किया है।
