1.The 1st Sherpa Meeting of India’s G20 Presidency commenced today, on 04 December 2022, in Udaipur Rajasthan. A series of briefings and interactions with the media and a side event on Transforming Lives at the Midpoint of the 2030 Agenda: Accelerating Achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals in an Era of Cascading and Multiple Crises were organised. 

Ø भारत की G20 अध्यक्षता की पहली शेरपा बैठक 04 दिसंबर 2022 को उदयपुर राजस्थान में प्रारम्भ हुई। मीडिया के साथ ब्रीफिंग और बातचीत की एक श्रृंखला के साथ-साथ 2030 एजेंडा के मिडपॉइंट पर ट्रांसफॉर्मिंग लाइव्स पर एक अतिरिक्त कार्यक्रम: “व्यापक और एकाधिक संकट के युग में सतत विकास लक्ष्यों की त्वरित उपलब्धि” का आयोजन किया गया।

2. Under the aegis of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, Ministry of Culture in association with Department of Post unveiled Daakroom, the renowned letter writing carnival at the Gandhi Darshan at Raj Ghat, New Delhi. The one-of-a-kind letter writing event, supported by India Post, Ministry of Culture and Gandhi Smriti and Darshan Samiti is aimed to give a digital detox with the aim of reviving the art of letter writing in India.

Ø आजादी का अमृत महोत्सव के अंतर्गत, संस्कृति मंत्रालय ने डाक विभाग के सहयोग से नई दिल्ली के राजघाट में गांधी दर्शन में प्रसिद्ध पत्र लेखन कार्निवाल डाकरूम का अनावरण किया है। इंडिया पोस्ट, संस्कृति मंत्रालय और गांधी स्मृति और दर्शन समिति द्वारा समर्थित यह अपनी तरह का अनूठा पत्र लेखन कार्यक्रम है, जिसका उद्देश्य भारत में पत्र लेखन की कला को पुनर्जीवित करने के उद्देश्य से एक डिजिटल सहायता प्रदान करना है।

3. Ministry of culture in collaboration with Ministry of Textile inaugurated Jharokha - Compendium of Indian handicraft, handloom, art and culture” today at Dilli Haat, INA, New Delhi. On its inaugural day a fashion show titled “Crafts of India”; was organised to celebrate traditional crafts from different states of India. A cultural performance of “Korku”- Tribal folk dance of Korku community wasalso performed.  

Ø संस्कृति मंत्रालय ने वस्त्र मंत्रालय के सहयोग से दिल्ली हाट, आईएनए, नई दिल्ली में झरोखा - भारतीय हस्तकला, हथकरघा, कला और संस्कृति का संग्रह" का उद्घाटन किया है। अपने उद्घाटन के दिन "भारत के शिल्प" नामक एक फैशन शो; भारत के विभिन्न राज्यों से पारंपरिक शिल्प का उत्सव मनाने के लिए आयोजित किया गया था। इसके साथ ही कोरकू समुदाय के आदिवासी लोक नृत्य "कोरकू" का सांस्कृतिक प्रदर्शन भी किया गया।

4. On the occasion of 164th birth anniversary of legendary Indian scientist Acharya Jagadish Chandra Bose and as part of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsava, Vijnana Bharati and Ministry of Culture, Govt. of India organized an “International conference on the contributions of J C Bose: A Satyagrahi Scientist”, at Inter-University Accelerator Centre, New Delhi. J C Bose discovered wireless communication and was named the Father of Radio Science by the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineering. He was responsible for the expansion of experimental science in India.

Ø महान भारतीय वैज्ञानिक आचार्य जगदीश चंद्र बोस की 164 वीं जयंती के अवसर पर और आजादी का अमृत महोत्सव के अंतर्गत, विज्ञान भारती और संस्कृति मंत्रालय ने भारत के अंतर-विश्वविद्यालय त्वरक केंद्र, नई दिल्ली में "जे सी बोस: एक सत्याग्रही वैज्ञानिक के योगदान पर अंतर्राष्ट्रीय सम्मेलन" का आयोजन किया था। जेसी बोस ने बेतार संचार की खोज की थी और इलेक्ट्रिकल और इलेक्ट्रॉनिक्स इंजीनियरिंग संस्थान द्वारा उन्हें रेडियो विज्ञान का जनक नामित किया गया है। वह भारत में प्रयोगात्मक विज्ञान के विस्तार के प्रवर्तक थे।

5.Minister of State for Atomic Energy and Space Dr. Jitendra Singh will lead the Indian delegation to United Arab Emirates (UAE) at the “Abu Dhabi Space Debate beginning tomorrow. Dr. Singh will address the Opening Ceremony along with the Israeli President Isaac Herzog. During the two-day International meet, the Minister will also attend the Ministerial Plenary on the ‘Role of Foreign Policy in Enabling Space Diplomacy and International Cooperation.

Ø परमाणु ऊर्जा और अंतरिक्ष राज्य मंत्री डॉ. जितेंद्र सिंह "अबू धाबी स्पेस डिबेट" में संयुक्त अरब अमीरात (यूएई) जाने वाले भारतीय प्रतिनिधिमंडल का नेतृत्व करेंगे। डॉ. सिंह इजराइली राष्ट्रपति इसहाक हर्ज़ोग के साथ उद्घाटन समारोह को संबोधित करेंगे। दो दिवसीय अंतर्राष्ट्रीय बैठक के दौरान, मंत्री 'अंतरिक्ष कूटनीति और अंतर्राष्ट्रीय सहयोग को सक्षम करने में विदेश नीति की भूमिका' पर मंत्रिस्तरीय बैठक में भी भाग लेंगे।

6.India's Ambassador to the US Taranjit Singh Sandhu, December 3, handed over Padma Bhushan to Google and Alphabet CEO, Sundar Pichai in San Francisco. Padma Bhushan which is India's third-highest civilian award has been awarded to Pichai in the Trade and Industry category. The Madurai-born Pichai was named one of the 17 awardees earlier this year.

Ø अमेरिका में भारत के राजदूत तरणजीत सिंह संधू ने 3 दिसंबर को सैन फ्रांसिस्को में गूगल और अल्फाबेट के सीईओ सुंदर पिचाई को पद्म भूषण प्रदान किया है। पद्म भूषण; जो भारत का तीसरा सर्वोच्च नागरिक पुरस्कार है, पिचाई को व्यापार और उद्योग श्रेणी में प्रदान किया गया है। मदुरै में जन्मे पिचाई को इस वर्ष के प्रारंभ में 17 पुरस्कार विजेताओं में से एक नामित किया गया था।

7.India and the US have successfully concluded the 18th edition of joint military exercise 'Yudh Abhyas' in the Auli district of Uttarakhand. Exercise “Yudh Abhyas”, conducted annually between India and USA with the aim of exchanging best practices, tactics, techniques and procedures between the Armies of the two nations. The previous edition of the exercise was conducted at Joint Base Elmendorf Richardson, Alaska (USA) in October 2021.

Ø भारत और अमेरिका ने उत्तराखंड के औली जिले में संयुक्त सैन्य अभ्यास 'युद्ध अभ्यास' के 18वें संस्करण का सफलतापूर्वक समापन किया है। अभ्यास “युद्ध अभ्यास”, दोनों देशों की सेनाओं के बीच सर्वोत्तम प्रथाओं, रणनीति, तकनीकों और प्रक्रियाओं का आदान-प्रदान करने के उद्देश्य से भारत और अमरीका के बीच प्रतिवर्ष आयोजित किया जाता है। इस अभ्यास का पिछला संस्करण अक्टूबर 2021 में संयुक्त बेस एल्मडॉर्फ रिचर्डसन, अलास्का (यूएसए) में आयोजित किया गया था।

8. Indian shuttler Anish Thoppani clinched a silver medal in the under-15 category at the Badminton Asia Junior Championships in Nonthaburi, Thailand. Anish lost the men's singles final against Chinese Taipei's Chung-Hsiang Yih 8-21, 24-22, 19-21 to settle for silver. Player, Unnati created history at Junior Championships by becoming the first Indian to enter the Under-17 singles final.

Ø भारतीय शटलर अनीश थोप्पानी ने थाईलैंड के नोंथबुरी में आयोजित बैडमिंटन एशिया जूनियर चैंपियनशिप में अंडर-15 वर्ग में रजत पदक जीता है। अनीश चीनी ताइपे के चुंग-सियांग यिह के विरुद्ध पुरुष एकल फाइनल में 8-21, 24-22, 19-21 से हारकर रजत पदक से संतोष करना पड़ा। इसके साथ ही खिलाड़ी उन्नति ने अंडर-17 एकल फाइनल में प्रवेश करने वाली पहली भारतीय बनकर जूनियर चैंपियनशिप में इतिहास रच दिया था।

9. Three-day-long music, art, and literature festival Swar Dharohar was inaugurated by the Culture Ministry under Kalanjali. The festival aims at showcasing the iconic art, culture and heritage of the country. The program will facilitate the upcoming local artists to perform with renowned artists on the same platform. The national, as well as local poets, will also exhibit their artistry through Kavi Sammelan. The festival will continue till 4th of this month at Central Vista, New Delhi.

Ø कलंजलि के अंतर्गत संस्कृति मंत्रालय द्वारा तीन दिवसीय संगीत, कला और साहित्य उत्सव स्वर धरोहर का उद्घाटन किया गया। इस उत्सव का उद्देश्य; देश की प्रतिष्ठित कला, संस्कृति और विरासत को प्रदर्शित करना है। यह कार्यक्रम, इसमें आने वाले स्थानीय कलाकारों को एक ही मंच पर प्रसिद्ध कलाकारों के साथ प्रदर्शन करने की सुविधा प्रदान करेगा। कवि सम्मेलन के माध्यम से राष्ट्रीय के साथ-साथ स्थानीय कवि भी अपनी कला का प्रदर्शन करेंगे। यह कार्यक्रम, इस माह की 4 तारीख तक सेंट्रल विस्टा, नई दिल्ली में आयोजित किया जायेगा।

10.Government of India had appointed Rajeeva Laxman Karandikar, Professor Emeritus at CMI, as the part-time chairperson of the National Statistical Commission (NSC) of India for a period of three years. Mr. Karandikar will take up this role as an additional responsibility while continuing as Professor Emeritus at CMI. He joined CMI as a visiting professor in 2010, and officiated as the Director of CMI from January 2011 to April 2021.

Ø भारत सरकार ने सीएमआई में प्रोफेसर एमेरिटस राजीव लक्ष्मण करंदीकर को तीन वर्ष की अवधि के लिए भारत के राष्ट्रीय सांख्यिकी आयोग (एनएससी) के अंशकालिक अध्यक्ष के रूप में नियुक्त किया है। श्री करंदीकर सीएमआई में प्रोफेसर एमेरिटस के रूप में कार्य करते हुए इस भूमिका को अतिरिक्त जिम्मेदारी के रूप में निभाएंगे। उन्होंने 2010 में विजिटिंग प्रोफेसर के रूप में सीएमआई ज्वाइन किया था और जनवरी 2011 से अप्रैल 2021 तक सीएमआई के निदेशक के रूप में कार्य किया था।
