The first Tourism Working Group (TWG) Meeting will be held at Dhordo in Rann of Kutch in Gujarat from 7th to 9th of February, as part of the G-20. Union Minister of Tourism G. Kishan Reddy, Union Minister of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying Parshottam Rupala, and Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel will attend the inaugural session of the meeting on the 8th of February. The meeting will be attended by officials from G-20 Countries, invited countries, and representatives of various international organizations such as ADB, UNDP, etc.

Youth Affairs and Sports Minister Anurag Singh Thakur will launch the Mascot, Theme song and Jersey for the 3rd edition of Khelo India Winter Games in Jammu. The Winter Games are scheduled to be held from the 10th to the 14th February. The Khelo India Winter Games is supported by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports and organised by the Jammu and Kashmir Sports Council as well as the Winter Games Association of Jammu and Kashmir.

As nine states will go to assembly polls this year, the Election Commission of India (ECI) is gearing up for it with an aim to push voter percentage further. As a part of the same initiative, the ECI has produced a song named Main Bharat Hoon, Hum Bharat Ke Matdata Hain to attract the voters. The song is written and composed by film producer Subhash Ghai and it features many other singers and actors pan India. The song appeals the voters to cast vote and fulfill their Constitutional duty. 

Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah will lay the foundation stone of IFFCO Nano urea liquid fertiliser plant in Jharkhand. Nano urea improves crop productivity, soil health, and nutritional quality of produce and aims to address the imbalanced and excessive use of conventional urea. This will be the fifth Nano urea plant in the country. Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the world's first Nano urea plant in Gujarat last year.

Australia is removing the British monarchy from its bank notes. Its new USD 5 bill would feature an Indigenous design rather than an image of King Charles III. But the king is still expected to appear on coins. The USD 5 bill was Australia’s only remaining bank note to still feature an image of the monarch. The British monarch remains Australia’s head of state, although these days that role is largely symbolic. The current USD 5 will continue to be issued until the new design is introduced and will remain legal tender even after the new bill goes into circulation.

India has welcomed Congo to International Solar Alliance. The External Affairs Ministry said Ambassador of Republic of Congo, Raymond Serge Bale signed the International Solar Alliance Framework Agreement in the presence of Joint Secretary. International Solar Alliance is a treaty-based intergovernmental organization whose primary function is to promote solar development by reducing the cost of financing and technology. It is the nodal agency to implement 'One Sun, One World, One Grid'. Headquarter of International Solar Alliance is situated in Gurugram, India.

Azad Engineering Private Limited, a Hyderabad-based market leader in precision engineering, has been approved as the first Indian company to supply critical rotating parts for nuclear turbines. The company has delivered its first set of critical parts. These will now be assembled on nuclear turbines manufactured in Belfort, France. Azad Engineering has signed a long-term supply agreement with General Electric (GE) Steam Power for the supply of nuclear turbine-parts. 

Nagaland government and Patanjali Foods Limited have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for development and area expansion under palm oil cultivation and processing for Zone-II (Mokokchung, Longleng and Mon districts) of Nagaland under the National Mission on Edible Oils-Oil Palm (NMEO-OP).   Patanjali Foods Ltd is already working in the states of Mizoram, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Tripura in the North East. 

The International Day of Human Fraternity is marked on 4 February to promote cultural and religious tolerance and coexistence. The day was first observed in 2021 by the United Nations (UN). The International Day of Human Fraternity aims to promote greater tolerance for cultural and religious diversity. The International Day of Human Fraternity promotes peace and understanding between different religions and cultures. It advances dialogue between these groups and also hopes to promote acceptance of religious and cultural diversity.

The Vice President, Shri Jagdeep Dhankhar inaugurated the 36th Surajkund International Crafts Mela at Faridabad, Haryana from 3rd to 19th February 2023. The Surajkund Mela 2023 features regional and international crafts, handlooms, and customs, as well as cuisines from across the world. The Surajkund Mela attracts over a million tourists from India and throughout the world. This year's theme state is the North Eastern area, and the partner country is the Shanghai Cooperation Organization.
