1.Renowned women's rights activist and one of the last Gandhians, Ela R Bhatt passed away at a hospital in Ahmedabad after a brief illness. She was 89 years old. People closely associated with her described her death as the end of an era. She has left behind a rich legacy of women empowerment through her initiative of Self-Employed Women's Association (SEWA), one of the biggest women's cooperatives.

Ø  प्रसिद्ध महिला अधिकार कार्यकर्ता और अंतिम गांधीवादियों में से एक, इला आर भट्ट का बीमारी के बाद अहमदाबाद के एक अस्पताल में निधन हो गया है। वह 89 वर्ष की थीं। उन्होंने सबसे बड़ी महिला सहकारी समितियों में से एक, स्व-रोजगार महिला संघ (सेल्फ-एम्प्लॉयड वीमेंस एसोसिएशन / सेवा) की अपनी पहल के माध्यम से महिला सशक्तिकरण की एक समृद्ध विरासत को पीछे छोड़ा है।

2. In Kerala, the 15th edition of the Urban Mobility India Conference & Expo opens in Kochi. Union Minister of Housing and Urban Affairs Hardeep Singh Puri and Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan will jointly inaugurate the three-day conference. The meet will focus on the theme, 'Azadi @ 75 -- Sustainable Aatmanirbhar Urban Mobility'.

Ø  अर्बन मोबिलिटी इंडिया कॉन्फ्रेंस एंड एक्सपो का 15वां संस्करण केरल के कोच्चि में प्रारम्भ हुआ है। केंद्रीय आवास और शहरी मामलों के मंत्री हरदीप सिंह पुरी और केरल के मुख्यमंत्री पिनाराई विजयन संयुक्त रूप से इस तीन दिवसीय सम्मेलन का उद्घाटन करेंगे। यह बैठक 'आजादी @ 75 - सतत आत्मानिर्भर शहरी गतिशीलता' विषय पर केंद्रित होगी।

3. The National Mission for Clean Ganga (NMCG), Department of Water Resources, River Development and Ganga Rejuvenation, Ministry of Jal Shakti is organizing Ganga Utsav- The River Festival 2022 on 4th November, 2022 at Major Dhyan Chand Stadium in New Delhi. One of the main objectives of Ganga Utsav 2022 is to celebrate our rivers and spread awareness on the significance of river rejuvenation across river basins in India.

Ø  राष्ट्रीय स्वच्छ गंगा मिशन (एनएमसीजी), जल संसाधन, नदी विकास और गंगा संरक्षण विभाग, जल शक्ति मंत्रालय 4 नवंबर, 2022 को नई दिल्ली के मेजर ध्यानचंद स्टेडियम में गंगा उत्सव- नदी महोत्सव 2022 का आयोजन कर रहा है। गंगा उत्सव 2022 का एक मुख्य उद्देश्य हमारी नदियों की समृद्ध विरासत का उत्सव मनाना है और भारत में नदी घाटियों में नदी के कायाकल्प के महत्व पर जागरूकता फैलाना है।

4. Sharjah International Book Fair opens to the public under the theme Spread the Word. The 41st annual event was inaugurated on by Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Ruler of Sharjah. It’s running until November 13 at Expo Centre Sharjah with 2,213 publishers involved from 95 countries. mThe Sharjah Ruler also honoured Sudanese historian Yusuf Fadl Hasan, the book fair’s Cultural Personality of the Year, at the ceremony. Italy is this year’s guest of honour.

Ø  शारजाह इंटरनेशनल बुक फेयर, स्प्रेड द वर्ड थीम के अंतर्गत लोगों के लिए आयोजित किया गया है। 41वें वार्षिक कार्यक्रम का उद्घाटन शारजाह के शासक शेख डॉ सुल्तान बिन मुहम्मद अल कासिमी ने किया है। यह पुस्तक मेला, एक्सपो सेंटर शारजाह में 13 नवंबर तक चल रहा है, जिसमें 95 देशों के 2,213 प्रकाशक शामिल हो रहे हैं। शारजाह शासक ने समारोह में सूडानी इतिहासकार युसूफ फदल हसन को भी सम्मानित किया है, जो इस पुस्तक मेले के वर्ष के सांस्कृतिक व्यक्तित्व हैं। इटली देश, इस वर्ष का विशिष्ट अतिथि है।

5. The University Grants Commission (UGC) has instructed all the higher educational institutions to observe a Bharatiya Bhasha Divas’ on December 11 every year in order to celebrate language harmony and promote Indian languages. The move came after recommendations of a committee constituted by the ministry of education previous year to emphasise the importance of Indian languages.

Ø  विश्वविद्यालय अनुदान आयोग (यूजीसी) ने सभी उच्च शिक्षण संस्थानों को भाषा सद्भाव का उत्सव मनाने और भारतीय भाषाओं को बढ़ावा देने के लिए प्रत्येक वर्ष 11 दिसंबर को भारतीय भाषा दिवस मनाने का निर्देश दिया है। यह निर्णय, पिछले वर्ष शिक्षा मंत्रालय द्वारा भारतीय भाषाओं के महत्व पर जोर देने के लिए गठित एक समिति की सिफारिशों के बाद आया है।

6. Smt. Droupadi Murmu, the President of India on her visit to Mizoram inaugurates the Campus of IIMC North East located at Mizoram University in virtual mode. The Indian Institute of Mass Communication (IIMC) is an autonomous Institution under the Ministry of I&B. The IIMC North East Campus began functioning in 2011 from a temporary building made available by Mizoram University.

Ø  मिजोरम की अपनी यात्रा पर भारत की राष्ट्रपति श्रीमती द्रौपदी मुर्मू ने वर्चुअल मोड में मिजोरम विश्वविद्यालय में स्थित आईआईएमसी नॉर्थ ईस्ट के परिसर का उद्घाटन किया है। इंडियन इंस्टीट्यूट ऑफ मास कम्युनिकेशन (IIMC), सूचना एवं प्रसारण मंत्रालय के अंतर्गत एक स्वायत्त संस्थान है। IIMC नॉर्थ ईस्ट कैंपस ने 2011 में मिजोरम यूनिवर्सिटी द्वारा उपलब्ध कराई गई एक अस्थायी भवन से अपना कार्य संचालित करना प्रारम्भ किया था।

7. Department of Drinking Water & Sanitation (DDWS), Ministry of Jal Shakti held Technical Session on “Rural WASH Partnerships – the way forward’ on the second day of the 7th India Water Week. Union Minister launched the toolkit for Swachh Survekshan Grameen (SSG) 2023 and the web portal for the ‘Twinpit to Retrofit Abhiyan’ at the session. 

Ø  पेयजल और स्वच्छता विभाग (डीडीडब्ल्यूएस), जल शक्ति मंत्रालय ने सातवें भारत जल सप्ताह के दूसरे दिन "ग्रामीण वॉश पार्टनरशिप - भविष्य का रास्ता" पर तकनीकी सत्र आयोजित किया है। इस अवसर पर, केंद्रीय मंत्री ने सत्र में स्वच्छ सर्वेक्षण ग्रामीण (एसएसजी) 2023 के लिए टूलकिट और 'ट्विनपिट टू रेट्रोफिट अभियान' के लिए वेब पोर्टल लॉन्च किया है।

8. Former Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has made a stunning come back to power as his Likud party and its religious allies emerged victorious in the elections. According to final results released, the coalition has won 64 of 120 Parliament seats in the country’s fifth election in less than four years. 73-year-old Benjamin Netanyahu is the longest-serving Prime Minister, having been elected for five times over the course of 15 years.

Ø  इज़राइल के पूर्व प्रधानमंत्री बेंजामिन नेतन्याहू ने अपनी लिकुड पार्टी और अपने धार्मिक राजनितिक-सहयोगियों के माध्यम से चुनावों में विजयी होकर सत्ता में वापसी की है। अंतिम परिणामों के अनुसार,इस गठबंधन ने चार वर्ष से भी कम समय में देश के पांचवें चुनाव में 120 संसद सीटों में से 64 पर जीत हासिल की है। 73 वर्षीय बेंजामिन नेतन्याहू सबसे लंबे समय तक सेवा करने वाले प्रधानमंत्री हैं, जो 15 वर्षों के दौरान पांच बार चुने गए हैं।

9. US Federal Reserve has hiked the interest rates by another 75 basis points. The reason for the Fed’s hawkish monetary stance this year is inflation. The rate, which was near zero in March, has jumped 3.75 percentage points in the last eight months.

Ø  अमरीका के केन्‍द्रीय बैंक‍ फेडरल रिजर्व ने ब्‍याज दरों में 75 आधार अंकों की वृद्धि की है। इस वर्ष फेड बैंक के कठोर मौद्रिक नीति का कारण मुद्रास्फीति है। पिछले मार्च के बाद आठ महीनों में ब्‍याज दरों के आधार अंकों में 3.75 प्रतिशत की वृद्धि हुई है।

10. Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has announced that a liquidator has been appointed for winding up the affairs of Pune based Rupee Co-operative Bank Limited. RBI had cancelled the banking licence of Rupee Co-operative Bank on 10th August, this year. The bank, however, approached the Bombay High Court which stayed the order until the conclusion of appeal before the Appellate Authority.

Ø  भारतीय रिजर्व बैंक (RBI) ने घोषणा की है कि पुणे स्थित रुपया सहकारी बैंक लिमिटेड के मामलों को बंद करने के लिए एक परिसमापक नियुक्त किया गया है। आरबीआई ने इस वर्ष 10 अगस्त को रुपया सहकारी बैंक का बैंकिंग लाइसेंस रद्द कर दिया था। हालाँकि, बैंक ने बॉम्बे हाईकोर्ट का दरवाजा खटखटाया, जिसने अपीलीय प्राधिकारी के समक्ष अपील के समापन तक आदेश पर रोक लगा दी।
