1.  Canara Bank has won the "Banker's Bank of the Year Award 2022" for the Indian segment of the Global Banking Summit. The event took place in London from November 29 to December 1, 2022. The Bankers’ Bank of the Year Award is considered to be like Oscar award for the banking sector and the winners are judged on their ability to deliver returns, strategy, innovation, technology and product and services in their respective geographies in the last 12 months.

2. Noise, India’s consumer tech brand has roped in the youth icon cricketer- Virat Kohli as its new brand ambassador for their smartwatch series. The partnership will further help in deepening consumer trust and allegiance, claims the company. Noise has claimed to have emerged as one of the strongest Indian brands in the smartwatch segment, reiterating its leadership for nine quarters.

3.Indian shooter Rudrankksh Patil has clinched the International Shooting Sport Federation (ISSF) President’s Cup held in Cairo, Egypt. He defeated Italy’s Danilo Sollazzo in the 10-metre rifle play-off by 16-8. Athletes from 42 nations representing 43 ISSF Member Federations from all continents are taking part in this competition, which is being held since November 28.

Ø भारतीय निशानेबाज रुद्राक्ष पाटिल ने मिस्र के काहिरा में आयोजित इंटरनेशनल शूटिंग स्पोर्ट फेडरेशन (ISSF) प्रेसिडेंट्स कप जीता है। उन्होंने 10 मीटर राइफल प्ले-ऑफ में इटली के डेनिलो सोलाजो को 16-8 से हराया है। सभी महाद्वीपों के 43 आईएसएसएफ सदस्य संघों का प्रतिनिधित्व करने वाले 42 देशों के एथलीट इस प्रतियोगिता में भाग ले रहे हैं, जो 28 नवंबर से आयोजित हुई थी।

4. The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has put in place a framework to allow overseas subsidiaries and branches of Indian banks and financial institutions to undertake activities not specifically permitted in the Indian domestic market. The framework also specifies the applicability of these instructions to International Financial Services Centres in India, including Gujarat International Finance Tec-City (GIFT City).

5.  International Day of Banks is celebrated on 19 December. On 19 December 2019, the UN General Assembly adopted, which designated 4 December as the International Day of Banks in recognition of the significant potential of multilateral development banks and other international development banks in financing sustainable development and providing know-how.

Ø बैंकों का अंतर्राष्ट्रीय दिवस 19 दिसंबर 2019 को मनाया जाता है। 19 दिसंबर 2019 को, संयुक्त राष्ट्र महासभा ने बैंकों के अंतर्राष्ट्रीय दिवस को अपनाया और सतत विकास के वित्तपोषण और जानकारी प्रदान करने में बहुपक्षीय विकास बैंकों और अन्य अंतर्राष्ट्रीय विकास बैंकों की महत्वपूर्ण क्षमता को मान्यता प्रदान करते हुए 4 दिसंबर को बैंकों के अंतर्राष्ट्रीय दिवस के रूप में नामित किया था।

6.The National Payments Corporation of India has extended the deadline for payment aggregators to meet the guidelines on volumes of UPI (Unified Payments Interface) transactions by two years till December 31, 2024. The guidelines, introduced in November 2020, mandated that the UPI volume of transactions initiated through a payment service provider do not exceed 30 per cent of the overall volume of transactions processed in UPI during the preceding three months.

Ø भारतीय राष्ट्रीय भुगतान निगम ने यूपीआई (यूनिफाइड पेमेंट्स इंटरफेस) लेन-देन की मात्रा पर दिशा-निर्देशों को पूरा करने के लिए भुगतान एग्रीगेटर्स की समय सीमा को 31 दिसंबर, 2024 तक दो वर्ष के लिए बढ़ा दिया है। भुगतान सेवा प्रदाता के माध्यम से प्रारंभ किए गए लेन-देन पिछले तीन माह के दौरान यूपीआई में संसाधित लेनदेन की कुल मात्रा के 30 प्रतिशत से अधिक नहीं होने चाहिए।

7. The first annual State of Global Water Resources Report was launched at a hybrid event on 29 November at WMO headquarters in Geneva. WMO has published its first State of Global Water Resources report in order to assess the effects of climate, environmental and societal change on the Earth’s water resources. The aim of this annual stocktake is to support the monitoring and management of global freshwater resources in an era of growing demand and limited supplies.

Ø वैश्विक जल संसाधन रिपोर्ट की पहली वार्षिक स्थिति 29 नवंबर को जिनेवा में डब्ल्यूएमओ मुख्यालय में एक हाइब्रिड कार्यक्रम में लांच की गई है। WMO ने पृथ्वी के जल संसाधनों पर जलवायु, पर्यावरण और सामाजिक परिवर्तन के प्रभावों का आकलन करने के लिए अपनी पहली वैश्विक जल संसाधन रिपोर्ट प्रकाशित की है। इस वार्षिक रिपोर्ट का उद्देश्य बढ़ती मांग और सीमित आपूर्ति के युग में वैश्विक मीठे पानी के संसाधनों की निगरानी और प्रबंधन का समर्थन करना है।

8. Filmmaker SS Rajamouli has bagged the best director award at the New York Film Critics Circle. The winners were announced by the New York Film Critics Circle (NYFCC). A pre-Independence fictional story, "RRR" stars Ram Charan and Jr NTR as real-life Indian revolutionaries in the 1920s Alluri Sitarama Raju and Komaram Bheem, respectively.

9.A Greenhouse-in-a-Box sustainable solution for small farmers devised by Telangana startup Kheyti has won the 1 million pounds Earthshot Prize, founded by Britain's Prince William and dubbed the Eco Oscars'. Plants in the greenhouse require 98 per cent less water than those outdoors and yields are seven-times higher.

Ø तेलंगाना स्टार्टअप ‘खेती’ द्वारा तैयार किए गए छोटे किसानों के लिए स्थापित एक ग्रीनहाउस-इन-द-बॉक्स टिकाऊ समाधान ने ब्रिटेन के प्रिंस विलियम द्वारा स्थापित 1 मिलियन पाउंड का अर्थशॉट पुरस्कार जीता है और इसे इको ऑस्कर नाम दिया  गया है। ग्रीनहाउस में पौधों को बाहरी-पर्यावरण की तुलना में 98 प्रतिशत कम पानी की आवश्यकता होती है और इसमें पैदावार सात गुना अधिक होती है।

10.The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) and the Financial Services Agency (FSA) of Japan on Wednesday exchanged letters of cooperation in the field of central counterparties (CCPs) with the expressed aim of improving mutual cooperation. The derecognition of CCIL will mean that financial transactions will not be settled through CCIL, leaving room for just bilateral transactions between banks.

Ø भारतीय रिजर्व बैंक (RBI) और जापान की वित्तीय सेवा एजेंसी (FSA) ने पारस्परिक सहयोग में सुधार के उद्देश्य से केंद्रीय प्रतिपक्षों (CCPs) के क्षेत्र में सहयोग-पत्रों का आदान-प्रदान किया। सीसीआईएल की मान्यता रद्द करने का अर्थ यह होगा कि बैंकों के बीच होने वाले सिर्फ द्विपक्षीय लेनदेन को छोड़कर अन्य वित्तीय लेनदेन, सीसीआईएल के माध्यम से नहीं निपटाए जाएंगे।
