1.The Nobel Prize in Chemistry has been jointly awarded to Carolyn Bertozzi, Morton Meldal and Barry Sharpless for their work on snipping molecules together, known as click chemistry. "Click" chemistry is about linking together molecules like those in living cells. Their work is used to explore cells and track biological processes and can be applied in cancer treatment drugs.

Punjab National Bank (PNB) has introduced banking services through WhatsApp for both customers and non-customers.In order to activate banking facility on WhatsApp, customers need to save the official PNB's WhatsApp number 919264092640 and initiate a conversation (on WhatsApp) by sending a hi/hello to this number.

3. Pullampara grama panchayat in Thiruvananthapuram has become the first digitally literate panchayat in Kerala. The initiative was launched in August 2021, with the plans to impart digital literacy to all residents of the panchayats under the Digi Pullampara project. The panchayat has trained 3,174 persons in using digital equipment in the local body in Thiruvananthapuram.

4. Indian-origin, Dr. Vivek Lall has been honoured with the Lifetime Achievement Award by US President Joe Biden with the citation of 'With Grateful Recognition'. The citation was given to Dr. Lall by the AmeriCorps, which is a part of the US Government and aims to foster activities that bring Americans closer together to "serve communities."

5. In a significant move to boost India's defence export, the country has signed an export order for missiles, rockets, and ammunition to Armenia because the Asian nation is engaged in a border conflict with Azerbaijan. he values of the contracts has not been revealed yet, however, it is estimated that military equipment worth over ₹2,000 crore will be exported to the country in the coming months

6. Antim Panghal, the World under-20 champion, made an impressive debut at the National Games 2022 as she won the gold medal in women's 53kg wrestling. Gujarat's Hina Khalifa and Swati Sanjay of Maharashtra won the bronze medals in the women's 53kg.

7. Adani Green Energy has commissioned a 600 MW wind-solar hybrid power plant in the Indian state of Rajasthan. The plant will supply electricity under 25-year power purchase agreements with Solar Energy Corp. of India (SECI) at a rate of INR 2.69/kWh. The plant includes 600 MW of solar and 150 MW of wind capacity.

Ø अडानी ग्रीन एनर्जी ने राजस्थान में 600 मेगावाट का पवन-सौर हाइब्रिड पावर प्लांट प्रारम्भ किया है। यह संयंत्र 25 वर्ष के बिजली खरीद समझौते के अंतर्गत सोलर एनर्जी कार्पोरेशन ऑफ इंडिया (एसईसीआई) के साथ 2.69 रुपये/केडब्ल्यूएच की दर से बिजली की आपूर्ति करेगा। संयंत्र में 600 मेगावाट सौर और 150 मेगावाट पवन क्षमता शामिल है।

8. October 5 is celebrated as Teachers Day or World Teachers Day around the world. It is observed to express gratitude for the contributions of teachers, who prepare children to face the world. The theme for World Teachers' Day 2022 is "The change of education begins with teachers"

9. The ships of First Training Squadron (1TS) comprising INS Tir, Sujata and CGS Sarathi arrived at Port Al-Shuwaikh, Kuwait on 04 Oct 22. The ships are deployed in the Persian Gulf as part of their training deployment.  The ships were accorded a warm welcome by senior officers of the Kuwaiti Naval forces, Border Guard and the Embassy of India officials besides school children.

10. The 6th edition of Asia’s largest telecom festival, India Mobile Congress 2022 concluded with grand success here at Pragati Maidan in New Delhi. IMC 2022 showcased developments and efforts around 5G technology in India and how they can contribute in the digital transformation by making communication, connection and commerce seamless. During the event, PM Modi virtually spoke with the students of Ropad Primary School in Ahmedabad on benefits of 5G technology in education.
