The Union Minister Shri Anurag Singh Thakur chaired the first High-Level Committee Meeting for Paris Olympics 2024. The meeting which was attended by representatives from the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, the Sports Authority of India, and the Indian Olympic Association.
केंद्रीय मंत्री श्री अनुराग सिंह ठाकुर ने पेरिस ओलंपिक 2024 के लिए उच्च स्तरीय समिति की पहली बैठक की अध्यक्षता की है। इस बैठक में युवा कार्यक्रम एवं खेल मंत्रालय, भारतीय खेल प्राधिकरण और भारतीय ओलंपिक संघ के प्रतिनिधियों ने भाग लिया।
NITI Aayog in collaboration with Asian Development Bank’s IED organized a panel discussion, titled Bridge Over Troubled Waters, on ways to strengthen water security and reduce risks. The session was chaired by NITI Aayog Vice Chair Shri Suman Bery.

The 23rd Commonwealth Law Conference was inaugurated by Goa Governor P.S. Sreedharan Pillai. The five-day conference was also attended by Union Minister for Law and Justice Kiren Rijiju and Chief Minister of Goa Dr. Pramod Sawant.

Shri S.S. Dubey took charge as the Controller General of Accounts (CGA) here. Shri Dubey is the 28th Controller General of Accounts, Ministry of Finance, Government of India. Controller General of Accounts is ‘the Principal Advisor’ on Accounting matters to the Union Government.

The maiden Joint Military Exercise FRINJEX-23 between Indian Army and French Army will be conducted at Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala. The exercise is aimed at enhancing inter-operability, coordination and cooperation between both forces.

The National Anti-Doping Agency; and the National Council of Educational Research and Training signed an MoU to strengthen value-based sports education amongst school children and teachers. The UNESCO Value-Based Sports Education toolkit will also be promoted in every classroom under the MoU.

Tokyo Olympic Games silver-medallist weightlifter Mirabai Chanu has bagged the 2022 ‘BBC Indian Sportswoman of The Year’ award. The 28-year-old weightlifter from Manipur became the first athlete to win the award twice in a row after bagging it in 2021 as well.
टोक्यो ओलंपिक खेलों की रजत-पदक विजेता भारोत्तोलक मीराबाई चानू ने 2022 का 'बीबीसी इंडियन स्पोर्ट्सवुमेन ऑफ द ईयर' पुरस्कार जीता है। मणिपुर की 28 वर्षीय वेटलिफ्टर 2021 में भी इसे प्राप्त करने के बाद लगातार दो बार पुरस्कार जीतने वाली पहली एथलीट बन गईं हैं।
