1.Shri R.K Singh, Union Minister for Power and New and Renewable Energy today unvieled the curtain raiser to the Fifth Assembly of the International Solar Alliance along with side events to be held in New Delhi from 17th - 20th October, 2022. The International Solar Alliance is an international organisation with 109 member and signatory countries. It works with governments to improve energy access and security worldwide and promote solar power as a sustainable way to transition to a carbon-neutral future. With the signing and ratification of the ISA Framework Agreement by 15 countries, on 6 December, 2017, ISA became the first international intergovernmental organization to be headquartered in India.

Ø केंद्रीय विद्युत और नवीन एवं नवीकरणीय ऊर्जा मंत्री श्री आर.के. सिंह ने 17-20 अक्टूबर, 2022 तक नई दिल्ली में आयोजित होने वाले कार्यक्रमों के साथ-साथ अंतर्राष्ट्रीय सौर गठबंधन की पांचवीं विधानसभा के लिए एक अनावरण कार्यक्रम का शुभारम्भ किया। अंतर्राष्ट्रीय सौर गठबंधन 109 सदस्य और हस्ताक्षरकर्ता देशों वाला एक अंतरराष्ट्रीय संगठन है। यह विश्व भर में ऊर्जा पहुंच और सुरक्षा में सुधार के लिए सरकारों के साथ काम करता है और कार्बन-तटस्थ भविष्य में संक्रमण के लिए एक स्थायी तरीके के रूप में सौर ऊर्जा को प्रोत्साहित करता है। 15 देशों द्वारा आईएसए फ्रेमवर्क समझौते पर हस्ताक्षर और अनुसमर्थन के साथ, 6 दिसंबर, 2017 को, आईएसए भारत में मुख्यालय वाला पहला अंतर्राष्ट्रीय अंतर-सरकारी संगठन बन गया था।

2. On the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti, the State Bank of India announced that it will adopt 30 remote villages across India under the 4th phase of the ‘SBI Gram Seva’ program. Under the flagship scheme of the SBI Foundation, the bank will adopt remote villages across Aspirational Districts in Haryana, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Punjab, Tamil Nadu, and West Bengal. Launched under the Corporate Social Responsibility of the bank, the program emphasises a comprehensive development of villages by active intervention in areas like education, healthcare, livelihoods, and infrastructure. As of now, the program has adopted 100 villages across 16 States in 3 phases.

Ø गांधी जयंती के अवसर पर, भारतीय स्टेट बैंक ने  'एसबीआई ग्राम सेवा' कार्यक्रम के चौथे चरण के अंतर्गत पूरे भारत के 30 दूरदराज के गांवों को गोद लेने की घोषणा की है। एसबीआई फाउंडेशन की प्रमुख योजना के अंतर्गत, बैंक हरियाणा, गुजरात, महाराष्ट्र, पंजाब, तमिलनाडु और पश्चिम बंगाल के आकांक्षी जिलों के दूरदराज के गांवों को गोद लेगा। बैंक के कॉर्पोरेट सामाजिक उत्तरदायित्व के अंतर्गत शुरू किया गया यह कार्यक्रम शिक्षा, स्वास्थ्य देखभाल, आजीविका और आधारभूत ढांचे जैसे क्षेत्रों में सक्रिय हस्तक्षेप से गांवों के व्यापक विकास पर जोर देता है। अब तक, इस कार्यक्रम के अंतर्गत 3 चरणों में 16 राज्यों के 100 गांवों को गोद लिया है।

3. President Joe Biden has nominated US Surgeon General Dr Vivek Murthy to serve as the country's representative on the executive board of the World Health Organisation. Dr Murthy, 45, will serve in the new position alongside his continued duties as the US Surgeon General, the White House said in a statement. He was confirmed by the US Senate in March 2021 to serve as the 21st Surgeon General of the country. He previously served as the 19th Surgeon General under President Barack Obama.

Ø राष्ट्रपति जो बिडेन ने विश्व स्वास्थ्य संगठन के कार्यकारी बोर्ड में देश के प्रतिनिधि के रूप में काम करने के लिए अमेरिकी सर्जन जनरल डॉ० विवेक मूर्ति को नामित किया है। व्हाइट हाउस के अनुसार 45 वर्षीय डॉ० मूर्ति अमेरिकी सर्जन जनरल के रूप में अपने निरंतर कर्तव्यों के साथ नई स्थिति में काम करेंगे। मार्च 2021 में अमेरिकी सीनेट ने उन्हें देश के 21वें सर्जन जनरल के रूप में सेवा देने की पुष्टि की थी। उन्होंने पहले राष्ट्रपति बराक ओबामा के अधीन 19वें सर्जन जनरल के रूप में कार्य किया।

4. SpaceX successfully launched four astronauts to the International Space Station on the Crew-5 mission for NASA.  SpaceX is sending four people to the International Space Station (ISS), including the first Native American woman in space and the first Russian cosmonaut to take a seat on a commercial spacecraft.

Ø स्पेसएक्स ने नासा के लिए क्रू-5 मिशन पर चार अंतरिक्ष यात्रियों को अंतर्राष्ट्रीय अंतरिक्ष स्टेशन में सफलतापूर्वक लॉन्च किया है। स्पेसएक्स चार लोगों को अंतर्राष्ट्रीय अंतरिक्ष स्टेशन (आईएसएस) भेज रहा है, जिसमें अंतरिक्ष में पहली अमेरिकी मूल-निवासी महिला और एक वाणिज्यिक अंतरिक्ष यान पर बैठने वाली पहली रूसी अंतरिक्ष यात्री शामिल हैं। कंपनी के क्रू-5 मिशन ने दोपहर 12 बजे सफलतापूर्वक उड़ान भरी थी।

5. Minister of State for External Affairs and Parliamentary Affairs V Muraleedharan will pay a four-day official visit to the US, starting today. According to a statement issued by the Ministry of External Affairs, the Union Minister will be in the US from October 6-9. In the first part of his visit, Muraleedharan will go to New York from Oct 6-7, where he will participate in the high-level UN Security Council debate, on “Peace and Security in Africa: Strengthening the fight against the financing of armed groups and terrorists through the illicit trafficking of natural resources.” The UNSC meeting is a signature initiative of Gabon’s Presidency of the Security Council and is likely to be presided over by the Foreign Minister of Gabon. On the second day, MoS will attend an event to commemorate the fifth anniversary of the India-UN Development Partnership Fund.

Ø विदेश और संसदीय मामलों के राज्य मंत्री वी मुरलीधरन चार दिवसीय आधिकारिक अमेरिका यात्रा पर जाएंगे। विदेश मंत्रालय अनुसार, केंद्रीय मंत्री 6-9 अक्टूबर तक अमेरिका में रहेंगे। अपनी यात्रा के पहले भाग में, मुरलीधरन 6-7 अक्टूबर तक न्यूयॉर्क जाएंगे, जहां वह "प्राकृतिक संसाधनों की अवैध तस्करी के माध्यम से सशस्त्र समूहों और आतंकवादियों के वित्तपोषण के खिलाफ लड़ाई को मजबूत करना।" विषय पर संयुक्त राष्ट्र सुरक्षा परिषद की उच्च स्तरीय चर्चा में भाग लेंगे। UNSC की बैठक, सुरक्षा परिषद के गैबॉन की अध्यक्षता की एक हस्ताक्षर पहल है और इसकी अध्यक्षता गैबॉन के विदेश मंत्री द्वारा किए जाने की संभावना है। दूसरे दिन, राज्य मंत्री भारत-संयुक्त राष्ट्र विकास भागीदारी कोष की पांचवीं वर्षगांठ मनाने के लिए एक कार्यक्रम में भाग लेंगे।

6. Sanjeev Kishore, a 1985 batch officer of the Indian Ordnance Factory Service (IOFS), has taken over as the director general ordnance (C&S). Kishore assumed charge of the new role on 1 October, 2022. He replaced M K Garg. Before taking over the charge of DGO (C &S), Kishore was the additional director general ordnance at the Directorate of Ordnance (Coordination & Services), Kolkata, the mininstry said. Kishore has held many senior positions including that of the first CMD of Armoured Vehicles Nigam Ltd (AVNL), one of the seven new DPSUs formed by the Government of India in 2021.

Ø 1985 बैच के अधिकारी संजीव किशोर ने भारतीय आयुध निर्माणी सेवा (आईओएफएस) केआयुध महानिदेशक (सी एंड एस) के रूप में पदभार ग्रहण किया है। किशोर ने 1 अक्टूबर, 2022 को नई भूमिका का प्रभार ग्रहण किया है। उन्होंने एम के गर्ग का स्थान लिया है। डीजीओ (सी एंड एस) का पदभार संभालने से पहले श्री किशोर कोलकाता के आयुध निदेशालय (समन्वय एवं सेवा) में अतिरिक्त महानिदेशक (आयुध) थे। किशोर ने 2021 में भारत सरकार द्वारा गठित सात नए डीपीएसयू में से एक, बख्तरबंद वाहन निगम लिमिटेड (एवीएनएल) के पहले सीएमडी सहित कई वरिष्ठ पदों पर कार्य किया है।

7. State-run GAIL on Monday said that Sandeep Kumar Gupta has assumed the charge of Chairman and Managing Director of the country’s largest gas utility. Before joining GAIL, he held the position of Director (Finance), from August 2019, on the Board of Indian Oil Corporation. Gupta has a wide experience of over 34 years in the oil and gas Industry and has handled finance and accounts F&A, treasury, pricing, international trade, optimisation, information systems, corporate affairs, legal, risk management, GAIL said in a statement.

Ø सार्वजनिक क्षेत्र की कंपनी गेल  के अनुसार संदीप कुमार गुप्ता ने देश की सबसे बड़ी गैस कंपनी के अध्यक्ष एवं प्रबंध निदेशक का पदभार ग्रहण करेंगे। गेल में शामिल होने से पहले, उन्होंने इंडियन ऑयल कॉर्पोरेशन के बोर्ड में अगस्त 2019 से निदेशक (वित्त) का पद संभाला था। श्री संदीप गुप्ता के पास तेल और गैस उद्योग में 34 से अधिक वर्षों का व्यापक अनुभव है और उन्होंने वित्त और लेखा एफ एंड ए, ट्रेजरी, मूल्य निर्धारण, अंतर्राष्ट्रीय व्यापार, अनुकूलन, सूचना प्रणाली, कॉर्पोरेट मामलों, कानूनी, जोखिम प्रबंधन जैसे विषयों को संभाला है।

8. Union Home Minister Amit Shah has announced Scheduled Tribe (ST) status for the Pahari community in Jammu and Kashmir. The announcement was made at a rally in Rajouri. Mr Shah said, Justice GD Sharma Commission has recommended reservation for Paharis in the report submitted to the government.

Ø केंद्रीय गृह मंत्री अमित शाह ने जम्मू-कश्मीर में पहाड़ी समुदाय को अनुसूचित जनजाति (एसटी) का दर्जा देने की घोषणा की है।श्री शाह ने कहा, न्यायमूर्ति जीडी शर्मा आयोग ने सरकार को सौंपी गई रिपोर्ट में पहाड़ी लोगों के लिए आरक्षण की सिफारिश की है। गृह मंत्री ने कहा, प्रशासनिक औपचारिकताएं पूरी करने के बाद आरक्षण शुरू किया जाएगा।

9. Actor Pankaj Tripathi has been roped-in as the National Icon by the Election Commission of India (ECI). The actor was already State Icon of Bihar to create awareness and encourage youth to participate in elections. The ECI is launching a special programme in collaboration with All India Radio (AIR), which will include a series titled Matdata Junction with 52 episodes of 15 minutes, each to be broadcast every Friday on Vividh Bharti stations, and other primary radio channels of AIR. The programme will be broadcast in 23 languages across 230 AIR channels. Pankaj Tripathi will join the launch of Matdata Junction as the National Icon.

10. Aditya Birla Health Insurance Co. Limited.
