1.Since its creation in 2006, World Migratory Bird Day has been commemorated twice a year. It is supposed to be celebrated on the second Saturday of May and the second Saturday of October. This year, it was previously celebrated on 14 May and for the second time, the world marks this day again on 8 October. At least 4,000 different bird species travel long distances, making up about 40% of the world’s bird population. They migrate in search of food. Twice a year, these birds spend the winter in warmer regions before coming home to reproduce. The purpose of World Migratory Bird Day is to increase public awareness on the issues migrating birds encounter, their ecological importance, and the need for global cooperation to safeguard them.

Ø विश्व प्रवासी पक्षी दिवस को वर्ष में दो बार मनाया जाता है, और इसे वर्ष 2006 में स्थापित किया गया था। यह दिवस मई के दूसरे शनिवार और अक्टूबर के दूसरे शनिवार को मनाया जाता है। इस वर्ष, यह पहले 14 मई को मनाया गया था और दूसरी बार, 8 अक्टूबर को मनाया जा रहा है। कम से कम 4,000 विभिन्न पक्षी प्रजातियां लंबी दूरी तय करती हैं, जो विश्व की पक्षी आबादी का लगभग 40% है। वे भोजन की खोज में प्रवास करते हैं। वर्ष में दो बार, ये पक्षी प्रजनन के लिए अपने आवास में आने से पहले गर्म क्षेत्रों में सर्दी बिताते हैं। विश्व प्रवासी पक्षी दिवस का उद्देश्य प्रवासी पक्षियों के शिकार के मुद्दों, उनके पारिस्थितिक महत्व और उनकी सुरक्षा के लिए वैश्विक सहयोग की आवश्यकता के बारे में जन जागरूकता बढ़ाना है।

2. Veteran actor Arun Bali died at the age of 79 on 07th October in Mumbai.  His last film, Goodbye, released in theatres on October 7.   Following the news of his death, fans paid tribute to the late actor.  In the 2000s, he became known for his 'grandfatherly' roles like that of Harshvardhan Wadhwa in 'Kumkum' and has even garnered popular awards for the same. He is also a National Award-winning producer. He also made a mark with his roles in '3 Idiots', 'Kedarnath', 'Panipat', 'Policewala Gunda', 'Phool Aur Angaar', 'Raam Jane', among many other films. 

Ø अनुभवी अभिनेता अरुण बाली का 07 अक्टूबर को 79 वर्ष की आयु में मुंबई में निधन हो गया है।  उनकी आखिरी फिल्म अलविदा 7 अक्टूबर को सिनेमाघरों में प्रदर्शित हुई थी। उनके निधन की खबर के बाद प्रशंसकों ने दिवंगत अभिनेता को श्रद्धांजलि दी। 2000 के दशक में, वह 'कुमकुम' में हर्षवर्धन वाधवा की तरह अपनी 'दादाजी' भूमिकाओं के लिए जाने गए और इसके लिए उन्हें लोकप्रिय पुरस्कार भी मिले। वह एक राष्ट्रीय पुरस्कार प्राप्त निर्माता भी हैं। कई फिल्मों और टेलीविजन श्रृंखलाओं में काम करने वाले बाली ने 1991 के पीरियड ड्रामा 'चाणक्य' में किंग पोरस, दूरदर्शन के सोप ओपेरा 'स्वाभिमान' में कुंवर सिंह और अविभाजित बंगाल के मुख्यमंत्री हुसैन शहीद सुहरावर्दी की भूमिका निभाई थी। उन्होंने कई अन्य फिल्मों में '3 इडियट्स', 'केदारनाथ', 'पानीपत', 'पुलिसवाला गुंडा', 'फूल और अंगार', 'राम जाने' में अपनी भूमिकाओं के साथ पहचान बनाई।

3. Delhi high court judge Dinesh Kumar Sharma has been named head of the UAPA tribunal related to the ban on the Popular Front of India (PFI) and its affiliates. Justice Sharma was appointed by Delhi high court Chief Justice S C Sharma. Once an organisation is banned under the UAPA, a tribunal is set up by the government to adjudicate whether there is sufficient ground for the decision. According to procedure, the Union Home Ministry requests the Law Ministry to name a sitting judge of high court as presiding officer of the tribunal.

Ø दिल्ली उच्च न्यायालय के न्यायाधीश दिनेश कुमार शर्मा को पॉपुलर फ्रंट ऑफ इंडिया (पीएफआई) और उसके सहयोगियों पर प्रतिबंध से संबंधित यूएपीए ट्रिब्यूनल का प्रमुख बनाया गया है। न्यायमूर्ति शर्मा को दिल्ली उच्च न्यायालय के मुख्य न्यायाधीश एस सी शर्मा ने नियुक्त किया था। यूएपीए के अंतर्गत एक बार किसी संगठन पर प्रतिबंध लगाने के बाद, सरकार द्वारा निर्णय के लिए पर्याप्त आधार है या नहीं, यह निर्धारित करने के लिए एक न्यायाधिकरण का गठन किया जाता है। इस प्रक्रिया के अनुसार, केंद्रीय गृह मंत्रालय कानून मंत्रालय से उच्च न्यायालय के एक वर्तमान न्यायाधीश को न्यायाधिकरण के पीठासीन अधिकारी के रूप में नामित करने का अनुरोध करता है।

4. The Union government has formed a three-member Commission of Inquiry headed by former Chief Justice of India, Justice K.G. Balakrishnan, to examine the issue of whether Scheduled Caste (SC) status can be accorded to Dalits who have over the years converted to religions other than Sikhism or Buddhism.  Currently, the Constitution (Scheduled Castes) Order, 1950 provides for only those belonging to Hindu, Sikh or Buddhist communities to be categorised as SCs. When enacted, the Order only allowed for Hindu communities to be classified as SCs based on the social disabilities and discrimination they faced due to untouchability. It was amended in 1956 to include Sikh communities and again in 1990 to include Buddhist communities as SCs.

Ø केंद्र सरकार ने भारत के पूर्व मुख्य न्यायाधीश न्यायमूर्ति के.जी. बालकृष्णन अध्यक्षता वाली तीन सदस्यीय जांच आयोग का गठन किया है, जो इस मुद्दे की जांच करने के लिए है कि क्या दलितों को अनुसूचित जाति (एससी) का दर्जा दिया जा सकता है, जिन्होंने वर्षों से सिख धर्म या बौद्ध धर्म के अतिरिक्त अन्य धर्मों में धर्मांतरण किया है। वर्तमान में, संविधान (अनुसूचित जाति) आदेश, 1950 केवल हिंदू, सिख या बौद्ध समुदायों से संबंधित लोगों को अनुसूचित जाति के रूप में वर्गीकृत करने का प्रावधान करता है। जब इसे अधिनियमित किया गया, उस समय अधिनियम ने केवल हिंदू समुदायों को सामाजिक अक्षमताओं और अस्पृश्यता के कारण होने वाले भेदभाव के आधार पर अनुसूचित जाति के रूप में वर्गीकृत करने की अनुमति दी थी। सिख समुदायों को शामिल करने के लिए 1956 में और फिर 1990 में बौद्ध समुदायों को अनुसूचित जाति के रूप में शामिल करने के लिए इसमें संशोधन किया गया था।

5. Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency Ltd. (IREDA) observed the "Cyber Jaagrukta Diwas" yesterday, to create cybersecurity awareness among all employees. Cyber Jaagrukta Diwas is an initiative launched by the Ministry of Home Affairs that requires all government organizations to spread cybersecurity awareness. It is observed on first Wednesday of every month. The purpose is to create awareness and sensitize the Internet users on safeguarding against cyber frauds and cybercrimes.

Ø इंडियन रिन्यूएबल एनर्जी डेवलपमेंट एजेंसी लिमिटेड (IREDA) ने सभी कर्मचारियों के बीच साइबर सुरक्षा जागरूकता पैदा करने के लिए "साइबर जागृति दिवस" आयोजित किया था। साइबर जागृति दिवस गृह मंत्रालय द्वारा प्रारम्भ की गई एक पहल है, जिसके लिए सभी सरकारी संगठनों को साइबर सुरक्षा जागरूकता फैलाने की आवश्यकता है। यह हर महा के पहले बुधवार को मनाया जाता है। इसका उद्देश्य साइबर धोखाधड़ी और साइबर अपराधों से बचाव के लिए इंटरनेट उपयोगकर्ताओं को जागरूकता पैदा करना और उन्हें संवेदनशील बनाना है।

6. At the 36th National Games, Pooja Patel of Gujarat has become the first athlete to win gold in Yogasana. Yogasana is one of the five sports to be played at the National Games this year for the first time. This Indian indigenous sport made its debut at the Khelo India University Games earlier this year. In other events today, Maharashtra won gold in the women’s diving 1-meter springboard event.

Ø 36वें राष्ट्रीय खेलों में गुजरात की पूजा पटेल योगासन में स्वर्ण जीतने वाली पहली एथलीट बन गई हैं। योगासन इस वर्ष पहली बार राष्ट्रीय खेलों में खेले जाने वाले पांच खेलों में से एक है। इस वर्ष के प्रारम्भ में खेलो इंडिया यूनिवर्सिटी गेम्स में इस भारतीय स्वदेशी खेल की शुरुआत की गयी थी। अन्य स्पर्धाओं में महाराष्ट्र ने महिला डाइविंग 1 मीटर स्प्रिंगबोर्ड स्पर्धा में स्वर्ण पदक जीता था।

7. The All India Institute of Ayurveda (AIIA), the apex institute of Ayurveda in India under the Ministry of AYUSH, and the National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (AIST), Japan have signed an MoU for academic establishment. AIST is a reputed and one of the largest public research organizations in Japan, focusing on technologies and on “bridging” the gap between innovative technological seeds and commercialisation.

Ø आयुष मंत्रालय के अंतर्गत आने वाले भारत में आयुर्वेद के शीर्ष संस्थान अखिल भारतीय आयुर्वेद संस्थान (एआईआईए) और राष्ट्रीय उन्नत औद्योगिक विज्ञान तथा प्रौद्योगिकी संस्थान (एआईएसटी), जापान ने अकादमिक स्थापना के लिए एक समझौता ज्ञापन पर हस्ताक्षर किए हैं। एआईएसटी जापान का प्रतिष्ठित और सबसे बड़े सार्वजनिक अनुसंधान संगठनों में से एक है, जो प्रौद्योगिकियों पर और इनोवेटिव तकनीकी बीजों तथा व्यावसायीकरण के बीच की खाई को "पाटने" पर ध्यान केंद्रित करता है।

8. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the first phase of Shri Mahakaleshwar Temple Extension project at Ujjain in Madhya Pradesh on October 11. Mr. Modi will also address a public meeting in Ujjain. Mahakaleshwar Jyotirling in Ujjain is one of the twelve Jyotirlingas located in the country.  the Mahakal temple complex expansion project was planned in the year 2017. The 800 crore Rs works of this expansion project are being conducted in two phases. In the first phase, works worth Rs 351 crore have been completed. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate these works of the first phase on October 11.

Ø प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी 11 अक्टूबर को मध्य प्रदेश के उज्जैन में श्री महाकालेश्वर मंदिर विस्तार परियोजना के पहले चरण का उद्घाटन करेंगे। श्री मोदी उज्जैन में एक जनसभा को भी संबोधित करेंगे. उज्जैन में स्थित महाकालेश्वर ज्योतिर्लिंग देश में स्थित बारह ज्योतिर्लिंगों में से एक है। महाकाल मंदिर परिसर विस्तार परियोजना की योजना वर्ष 2017 में बनाई गई थी। इस विस्तार परियोजना के 800 करोड़ रुपये के कार्य दो चरणों में किए जा रहे हैं। पहले चरण में 351 करोड़ रुपये के काम पूरे हो चुके हैं। पहले चरण के इन कार्यों का प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी 11 अक्टूबर को उद्घाटन करेंगे। दूसरा चरण 2023-24 में पूरा होगा।

9. Reserve Bank of India has released a Concept Note on Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC) to create awareness about the Digital Rupee. It explains the objectives, choices, benefits, and risks of issuing a digital currency in India. The concept note also discusses issues such as technology and design choices, possible uses of the Digital Rupee, issuance mechanisms, and role of RBI in introduction of the CBDT. It also examines the implications of the introduction of digital currency on the banking system, monetary policy, financial stability, and privacy. RBI will soon commence the launch of the Digital Rupee on a pilot basis for specific use.

Ø भारतीय रिजर्व बैंक ने डिजिटल रुपये के बारे में जागरूकता पैदा करने के लिए सेंट्रल बैंक डिजिटल करेंसी (CBDC) पर एक कॉन्सेप्ट नोट जारी किया है। यह भारत में डिजिटल मुद्रा जारी करने के उद्देश्यों, विकल्पों, लाभों और जोखिमों की व्याख्या करता है। अवधारणा नोट में प्रौद्योगिकी और डिजाइन विकल्प, डिजिटल रुपये के संभावित उपयोग, जारी करने की व्यवस्था और सीबीडीटी की शुरूआत में आरबीआई की भूमिका जैसे मुद्दों पर भी चर्चा की गई है। यह बैंकिंग प्रणाली, मौद्रिक नीति, वित्तीय स्थिरता और गोपनीयता पर डिजिटल मुद्रा की शुरूआत के प्रभावों की भी जांच करता है। आरबीआई जल्द ही विशिष्ट उपयोग के लिए पायलट आधार पर डिजिटल रुपये का शुभारंभ शुरू करेगा।

10. Bank of India Investment Managers Private Ltd has appointed Mohit Bhatia as its chief executive officer. Bhatia has over 26 years of professional experience in mutual funds and financial services industry in areas of sales and distribution, team building, marketing & branding, building of digital eco-system. His last assignment was with Canara Robeco Asset Management Company Ltd. as head-sales and marketing.

Ø बैंक ऑफ इंडिया इन्वेस्टमेंट मैनेजर्स प्राइवेट लिमिटेड ने  मोहित भाटिया को अपना मुख्य कार्यकारी अधिकारी नियुक्त किया है। भाटिया को म्युचुअल फंड और वित्तीय सेवा उद्योग में बिक्री और वितरण, टीम निर्माण, विपणन और ब्रांडिंग, डिजिटल इको-सिस्टम के निर्माण के क्षेत्रों में 26 वर्षों से अधिक का पेशेवर अनुभव है। उनका अंतिम कार्य केनरा रोबेको एसेट मैनेजमेंट कंपनी लिमिटेड के साथ बिक्री और विपणन प्रमुख के रूप में था।
