The Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) is a national-level engineering entrance examination in India conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). It is one of the most competitive exams in India and is used for admission to undergraduate engineering programs at the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs), National Institutes of Technology (NITs), and other top engineering colleges in India.

The JEE is a two-stage exam: JEE Main and JEE Advanced. JEE Main is a qualifying exam for JEE Advanced. JEE Advanced is a more difficult exam and is used for admission to the top IITs.

The syllabus for JEE Main and JEE Advanced is the same and covers the following subjects:

  • Physics
  • Chemistry
  • Mathematics

The syllabus for each subject is divided into two parts:

  • Class 11th syllabus
  • Class 12th syllabus

The following are the topics covered in each subject:

Physics:

  • Mechanics
  • Electromagnetism
  • Optics
  • Thermodynamics
  • Modern Physics

Chemistry:

  • Basic Concepts of Chemistry
  • Atomic Structure and Chemical Bonding
  • States of Matter
  • Chemical Thermodynamics
  • Solutions
  • Equilibrium
  • Redox Reactions and Electrochemistry
