The eligibility for becoming a UP Police Constable varies according to the recruitment process. As an UP Police Constable, the responsibilities include patrolling designated areas, responding to emergency calls, investigating crimes, gathering evidence, arresting suspects, providing security at public events, and assisting the public. They may also be assigned to special duties such as crowd control or traffic management.  

The constables are required to undergo regular training to stay updated with the latest techniques and procedures of policing. They also need to maintain their physical fitness through regular exercise and drills. The UP Police Constable plays an important role in maintaining law and order in the state, contributing to the safety and security of the population. They serve as the first line of defense, safeguarding the lives and property of citizens.

Pattern of Examination:

The time allowed for the examination is 120 minutes.

There will be a total of 150 questions in this written examination, in which 02 marks are prescribed for each correct answer.

There is a negative marking of 0.50 Marks for each wrong answer.
