Overview

Camphor is a natural product derived from the wood of the camphor laurel (Cinnamomum camphora L.) trees through steam distillation and purification by sublimation; the trees used should be at least 50 years old.

Camphor Tablets are used to help reduce pain and swelling, relax weary muscles, and lower congestion and cough in a broad range of medical conditions. They are used in the production of different medicines.

Camphor used to be made by distilling the bark and wood of the camphor tree. Today, camphor is chemically manufactured from turpentine oil. It is used in products such as Vicks VapoRub. Camphor products can be rubbed on the skin (topical application) or inhaled.
