SBI PO Examination
The SBI PO exam is one of the most competitive exams in India, and it attracts thousands of aspirants every year. The exam is conducted by the State Bank of India to recruit candidates for the position of Probationary Officer. The role of a Probationary Officer in SBI is to manage various banking operations, including customer relations, account management, and loan processing.
The selection process of SBI PO exam comprises of three stages- preliminary exam, mains exam, and interview. The preliminary exam is conducted online and consists of objective-type questions. The duration of the exam is one hour, and the maximum marks are 100. Candidates who clear the preliminary exam are eligible to appear for the mains exam.
The mains exam consists of four sections, and the duration of the exam is three hours and 30 minutes. The maximum marks for the mains exam are 200. Candidates who qualify the mains exam are called for the interview round, which carries a weightage of 25%.
The final selection of candidates is based on their performance in the mains exam and the interview round. The candidates who are selected as Probationary Officers in SBI undergo a training period of two years before they are posted as Assistant Managers.
The SBI PO exam is a highly competitive exam, and candidates need to prepare well to crack it. They should have a thorough knowledge of the banking sector and general awareness. They should also have good communication skills, logical reasoning abilities, and quantitative aptitude.
