The Staff Selection Commission will conduct an open competitive examination for recruitment to the posts of Constable (General Duty) in Border Security Force (BSF), Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Indo Tibetan Border Police (ITBP), Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB), Secretariat Security Force (SSF), Rifleman (General Duty) in Assam Rifles (AR) and Sepoy in NCB (Narcotics Control Bureau as per the Recruitment Scheme formulated by the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) and as per the Memorandum of Understanding signed between Ministry of Home Affairs and the Staff Selection Commission. The details of the examination are as follows:
Vacancies:
There are 45,284 vacancies. The
vacancies are Tentative. Any change in the number of vacancies will be
intimated through the website of the Commission. Updated vacancies, if any,
along with Post-wise& category-wise vacancies will be made available on the
website of the Commission (https://ssc.nic.in> Candidate’s Corner >

1. Scheme
of Computer Based Examination:
SSC GD 2022 - Computer Based Examination-Objective
paper- Medium Hindi/English:

The Computer based examination will
consist of one objective type paper containing 80 questions carrying 2 marks
each.
·
·All questions will be of Objective
Multiple-Choice Type. The computer-based examination will be conducted in
English and Hindi only.
·

2.Scheme of Physical Efficiency Test &
Physical Standard Test Examination:
·
Based on the performance in CBE,
candidates will be shortlisted for PET/ PST by the Commission.
·
Physical Efficiency Test (PET) and
Physical Standard Test (PST) will be conducted at various centres finalized by
the CAPFs.
·
Detailed scrutiny of candidates’
eligibility/ documents will be undertaken at the time of DME.
· Candidates shortlisted for PET/PST will be asked to go through biometric verification followed by PET&PST. The PST shall include measurement of height, weight & Chest (as applicable).
Physical Efficiency Test (PET): Candidates have to
clear the race within the following time limits:

Mode of selection:

The recruitment process will consist of
Computer Based Examination (CBE), Physical Efficiency Test (PET), Physical
Standard Test (PST), Medical Examination (DME/ RME) and Document Verification.
·
Candidates scoring following cut-off
marks (without adding bonus marks to NCC certificate holders) will be
considered eligible for short-listing to the next stage i.e. PET/ PST

Male and female candidates will be
shortlisted State/ Area-wise and category-wise on the basis of their merit in
the Computer Based Examination (including NCC bonus marks, if applicable) for
appearing in the PET/ PST.
·
The number of candidates shortlisted for
PET/ PST on the basis of their merit in the Computer Based examination will be
about 8 (Eight) times of the number of vacancies.
·
More number of candidates can be
shortlisted against the vacancies of SSF.
·
The candidates who are successful in the
PET/ PST will be considered eligible for short-listing to the next stage i.e.
Detailed Medical Examination (DME) and Document Verification (DV).
·
Male and female candidates who qualify in
the PET/ PST will be shortlisted State/ Area-wise and category-wise on the
basis of their merit in the Computer Based Examination (including NCC bonus
marks, if applicable) for appearing in the DME/ DV. The number of candidates
shortlisted for the DME/ DV on the basis of their merit in the Computer Based
examination will be about 2 (Two) times of the number of vacancies. More number
of candidates can be shortlisted against the vacancies of SSF.
Essential Educational Qualifications (As on
01-01-2023):
·
The candidates must have passed
Matriculation or 10th Class Examination from a recognized Board/ University.
·
Candidates who have not acquired the
essential educational qualification as on the stipulated date will not be
eligible and need not apply.
Age limit (As on 01-01-2023):
·
Candidates should not have been born
earlier than 02-01-2000 and later than 01-01-2005 in normal course.
· After relaxation of three (03) years in upper age, the candidate should not have been born earlier than 02-01-1997.
Nationality/ Citizenship:
·
Candidate must be a citizen of India.
·
Vacancies in CAPFs & AR are
state/UT/area wise hence a candidate must submit domicile/ PRC against his
state/ UT.

Apply:

Login to online system through your
‘Registration-Number’ and password.
·
Click ‘Apply’ link in ‘Constable (GD) in
CAPFs, SSF, Rifleman (GD) in Assam Rifles and Sepoy in Narcotics Control Bureau
Examination 2022’ section under ‘Latest Notifications’ tab.
·
Applications must be submitted only in
online mode at the website of SSC Headquarter i.e. https://ssc.nic.in.
·
candidates are required to upload the
scanned colour passport size photograph in JPEG format (20 KB to 50 KB).
·
Image dimension of the photograph should
be about 3.5 cm (width) x 4.5 cm (height).
·
Scanned signature in JPEG format (10 to
20 KB). Image dimension of the signature should be about 4.0 cm (width) x 2.0
cm (height).
·
Details of qualifying educational
qualification like passing year, roll number, percentage/ CGPA, name of Board,
etc are required.
·
Last date and time for submission of
online applications is 30-11-2022 (23:00).
·
Before submission of the online
application, candidates must check through Preview/ Print option that they have
filled correct details in each field of the form.
Application Fee:
·
Fee can be paid online through BHIM UPI,
Net Banking, by using Visa, Mastercard, Maestro, RuPay Credit or Debit cards or
through cash in SBI Branches by generating SBI Challan.
·
Online fee can be paid by the candidates
up to 01-12-2022 (23:00 hours).
·
However, candidates who wish to make the
cash payment through Challan of SBI, may make the payment in cash at the
Branches of SBI within the working hours of the bank up to 01-12-2022 provided
the Challan has been generated by them before 30-11-2022 (23:00 hours).
