India Coast Guard Examination 2023:
Indian Coast Guard (ICG) invites
online applications form for the recruitment post of Navik (GD) and Navik
(DB) through Coast Guard Enrolled Personnel Test (CGEPT) 02/2023
Batch. All eligible and interested male Indian Citizens can apply.
The details of the examination are as follows:
Vacancies:
There are approx. 255 vacancies. These vacancies are tentative
and may change depending on the availability of training slots. Even if there
is no vacancy reserved for SC/ST/OBC (non-creamy)/EWS category candidates, such
candidates can still apply. However, they will not be eligible for any age and
passing marks concession/relaxation, etc. SC/ST candidates are exempt from
payment of the application fee even in such cases. The tentative number of

of Stage -I Examination:
CGEPT Stage-I - Computer Based Online Examination-
Objective paper:
·
The question paper for section I and II
will be objective type with four options.
·
The candidate has to take the following
tests depending on the post applied: -

Scheme of Stage -II Examination:
CGEPT Stage-II - Physical Fitness Test:
·
Based on the performance in the
Computer Based Online Examination, a merit list will be prepared and a
provisional E-admit card for Stage II will be issued as per the vacancies
available and ratio decided by ICG.
·
If the candidate is shortlisted for
Stage -II then he will be required to upload additional documents as
required.
·
Failure to upload the additional
documents within the time frame promulgated by ICG will lead to the
cancellation of the candidature.
·
Stage-II involves following test which
are only qualifying in nature.
·
Candidates undergoing PFT will do so at
their own risk. All candidates are advised to be in possession of sports rig
(Shoe, T-shirt, Trouser etc).
·
The PFT consists of: -
·
1.6 Km run to be completed in 7
minutes.
·
20 Squat ups (Uthak-Baithak).
·
10 Push-up.

Nationality/Citizenship:
A candidate must be a citizen of India.
Essential Educational Qualifications:
- Navik (General Duty): 10+2 passed with Maths
and Physics from an education board recognized by Council of Boards for
School Education (COBSE).
- Navik (Domestic Branch): Class 10th
passed from an education board recognized by Council of Boards for School
Education (COBSE).
- The candidate must possess Essential
Qualification on or before the cut-off date i.e. 31st December
2023.
Age limit:
- Age limit for the posts Navik (GD) and Navik
(DB) is 18-22 years.
- Candidate must be born between 01 Sep 2001 and
31 Aug 2005 (both dates inclusive).
- Upper age relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST and
3 years for OBC (non-creamy) candidates is applicable only if posts are
reserved for them.
Steps to Apply
- Applications will be accepted 'Online only'
from 06 Feb 23 (1100 hrs) to 16 Feb 23 (1730 hrs).
- Candidates are to log on to https://joinindiancoastguard.cdac.in/cgept/
and follow the instructions for registering yourself with an E-mail
ID/mobile number.
- The candidates are to ensure the validity of
E-mail ID and mobile number at least up to 31 Dec 23.
- The candidates are to remember their
registered E-mail ID and mobile number as the same would be encrypted in
the application form.
- The candidate can apply for only one post viz.
either Navik (DB) or Navik (GD) in one cycle.
- The candidature of candidate will be cancelled
if multiple applications are applied by the candidate for more than one
post in response to this advertisement and exam fees will not be refunded.
- In case of
multiple applications for only one selected post, the latest filled
application will be accepted, however, the exam fees will not be
refunded.
Application Fee:
- Candidates (except SC/ST candidates, who are
exempted from payment of fee) are required to pay a fee of Rs. 300/-
(Rupees Three Hundred Only) through online mode by using net banking or by
using Visa/Master/Maestro/Rupay Credit/Debit Card/UPI.
- E-admit card will be issued for the
examination only to those candidates who have successfully paid the
examination fee and who are entitled for waiver of examination fee.
- Candidates from SC/ST category are entitled for waiver of
examination fee.

Ques. I am in the First year of college. Can I apply for the CGEPT 2023
exam?
Ans.Yes, the minimum qualification required for appearing Navik (General
Duty) is10+2 and for Navik (Domestic Branch) is10th Class.
Ques. Are there any percentage criteria to apply for the CGEPT 2023
exam?
Ans. There are no minimum percentage criteria to apply for the CGEPT 2023
exam.
Ques. Is there any negative marking in CGEPT 2023 Exam?
Ans. No. There is no negative marking in the written examination test.
Ques. Can I apply for more than one post?
Ans. No. The candidate can apply for only one post viz. either
Navik (DB) or Navik (GD) in one cycle.
Ques. What are CGEPT 2023 Exam Job Profiles?
Ans.There are Two post in CGEPT 2023 Exam Recruitment, i.e. Navik
(DB) or Navik (GD).
Ques. Am I eligible to apply for CDS Exam if I have tattoos on my
arms/ any other part of my body?
Ans. Permanent body tattoos are not permitted on any part of the body.
However, certain concessions are permitted to candidates belonging to tribal
areas communities as declared by the Govt. of India. For other candidates,
permanent body tattoos are only permitted on the inner face of forearms i.e.
from inside of the elbow to the wrist and on the reverse side of the palm/back
(dorsal) side of the hand.
